Abstract

This research discussed the dialectology of Malay used by the people in the coastal area of Landak,particularly those who live in the downstream area of the  Kapuas river. Malay has been used by agreat numberof people who reside in the coastal area. This research employs quantitative as well as qualitative researchmethods.  The  data  are  collected  trought  the  use  of  in-depth  interview  method  and  elicitation  technique  bydirectly  showing the pictures, pointing the real objects, or explaining the intended activities. The Synchroniccomparative method is used  to analyze the dialectology of Malay, and the diachronic comparative method isused to help with the analysis of the language construction. The dialectometry is used to figure the percentageof lexicon  differences between the research areas. The top down reconstruction technique serves as the way toanalyze the data to find the retention the innovation forms. The lexicon differences  in different areas the arecalculated by applying the triangular or polygons de thiessen. The result of data analysis shows that area 1-2,1-3, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4  hold under 21% of lexicon differences which indicates that they share same and not different.In the areas where the research is conducted, some of the relic from of the proto-language are still found, aswell as the innovation forms and the borrowing.Key words: Synchronic comparative, diachronic comparative, language construction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) merekonstruksi fonem bahasa Melayu Dialek Mempawah secarainduktif untuk mencari bahasa melayu Dialek Mempawah Prabahasa; (2) merekontruksi fonem bahasa MelayuDialek Mempawah secara deduktif untuk mendapatkan fonem Proto Austronesia (PAN) direfleksikan menjadirelik atau inovasi. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dengan metode cakap denganteknik menunjuk gambar, benda, aktivitas, dan peragaan. Metode analisis data digunakan untuk rekontruksiinduktif dengan teknik bottom up reconstruktion dan reconstruksi deduktif dengan teknik top down reconstruktion.Rekonstruksi induktif bahasa Melayu di Kabupaten Mempawah dan Sambas Prabahasa ‘BMDKMSP’ditemukan 6 fonem prabahasa meliputi: *a, *u, *i, *e, *o, *Y dan 21 fonem konsonan prabahasa *b, *c, *d, *f,Rekonstruksi deduktif ditemukan refleksi relik fonem konsonan PAN fonem konsonan b, p, t, k, g, d, h, s, m,n, K, r, l, r, €, dan y. Relik Fonem konsonan PAN yang tidak ada pada BMDKMS yaitu fonem konsonan j, c, C,D, z, Z, q, ƒ , w.Rekonstruksi deduktif inovasi eksternal masing-masing fonem vokal PAN > fonem vokal BMDKMSP >fonem vokal DBMDKMS dapat dikaidahkan sebagai berikut: *i > *e > e, Y; *u > *o > o; *e > *Y > Y, a; *e> *a > a; *e > *i > i; *a > *Y > Y; *a > *Y > Y, e; *é/*Y >*a > a. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan variasi fonologis vokal, variasi leksikal, memetakan secaraleksikal, dan membuat berkas isoglos secara leksikal di daerah bagian tengah aliran sungai Kapuas yang meliputiKabupaten Sanggau dan Sekadau. Kajian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif untuk memetakan variasi bahasa didaerah penelitian dan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan variasi fonologis vokal dan variasi leksikal.Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara mendalam. Data dianalisis dengan metode komparatifsinkronis dengan membandingkan data-data bahasa yang kognat. Penghitungan beda leksikal antartitikpengamatan menggunakan Rumus Dialektometri. Berkas isoglos yang dibuat adalah berkasisoglos secara leksikal.Temuan-temuan hasil penelitian: (1) variasi vonologis didaerah penelitian meliputi variasi fonologis [o] dan [a],[u] dan [o], [i] dan [e], dan []dan [e]; (2) variasi leksikal di daerah penelitian [ai pagi] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 [obu] 6, 8,[ebu] 7; [belelamp] 5, [beobu], 6 [lolamp], 7, 8 [bkbu] 1, 2, 3, 4; [pipi] 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 [kuyu] 5, 6; [pala bota]1, 3, 7 [lakar] 5, 6, 8 [gndl] 2, 4; [lehr] 6, 8 [rek] 5, 7 [rok] 1, 2, 3, 4; [burit] 1, 2, 3, 4[burt] 7, 8[tmpnt] 5 [puls] 6; (3) pemetaan variasi leksikal di Kabupaten Sanggau dan Sekadau ditemukan ada 4dialek; dan (4) berkas isoglos secara leksikal di Kabupaten Sanggau dan Sekadau.Kata Kunci : fonologis, leksikal, dialektometri, isoglos

Abstract

Abstract This research is focused on observing the relation of meaning in Dayak Bidayuh Betek dialect. Bidayuh Dayak is a regional language in Siding Village, Siding District and has a different dialect with Dayak Bidayuh language. The relation of meaning meant in this research was that the researcher focused this research with the formulation of problems in the form of antonyms, synonyms and homonyms, regarding the relation of antonym meaning, synonyms, and homonyms. This research also aimed to describe the forms of antonyms, synonyms and homonyms, regarding the relation of the meanings of antonyms, synonyms, and homonyms in the Dayak Bidayuh Betek dialect. Based on research that has been done, researcher got 161 words. For the whole data is divided into Antonyms in total there were 70 words divided from absolute antonyms there were 22 words, gradations antonyms there were 24 words, relations antonyms there were 19 words and hierarchy there were 5 words. In total there were 61 synonyms of meaning relation in DayakBidayuhBetek dialect. Homonyms as a whole there were 30 words which are divided from homonyms there were 24 words, homographshad 3 words and homophones had 3 words.Keywords: The Relationship of Meanings in Bidayuh Dayak Betek Dialect

Abstract

AbstractDayak Mualang Language is one of the regional languages in West Kalimantan, especially Sekadau Regency. The Dayak Mualang community, especially in Seburuk village, Belitang Hulu Subdistrict, still use plants that live wild in the forest as ingredients of traditional medicines which are based on local culture, so that the vocabulary names of traditional medicinal plants need to be preserved and inventoried so that plant vocabulary is not extinct and remains useful for the community. researchers use descriptive methods and qualitative research forms. This research succeeded in gathering 69 vocabularies of traditional medicinal plants. Research on the vocabulary of traditional medicinal plants is very interesting to do, because by researching this can add to the treasury about plants, especially traditional medicinal plants. Keywords: Vocabulary, Traditional Medicinal Plants, Dayak Mualang

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated that the community of BMDM speakers in Hilir City, Suka Maju Village, are native speakers. The problems in this research are phonetics in BMDM, phonemic in BMDM, and the forms of learning implementation. The purpose of this study is to describe the phonetic aspects of BMDM, the phonemic aspects of BMDM, and the implementation of learning. The method used is descriptive method in the form of qualitative. data collection tools namely recorder and write. The phonetic aspects of BMDM vocal sounds are six phonemes, the consonant sounds of BMDM are eighteen phonemes, the phonemic aspects of BMDM vocal phonemes are six. Consonant phonemes are seventeen sounds namely /b/, /p/, /t/, /d/, /c/, /k/, /l/, /m/, /g/, /ʔ/, /ɲ/ , /ŋ/, /j/, /y/, /w/, /n/, /s/, and /ɣ/. Vowels and consonants in sound inventory, phoneme verification, phoneme distribution, and phoneme realization are located at the beginning, middle and end of words. Diftong BMDM namely [ai], [oi], [au], and [it]. The BMDM syllable structure is (1) KVK, (2) V-KV, V-KVK, KV-VK, KV-KV, KV-KVV, KV-KVK, KV-KVKV, KVK-KV, AND KVK-KVK, 3) KV-KV-KV, KV-KV-KVK, KVK-KV-KV, KVK-KV-KVK, and KV-KVK-KVK. Abstract

AbstractTraditional Home Appliances are equipment or various tools available at home and used by the community according to their respective traditions. This research focuses in the semantic field, namely analyzing data on traditional household appliances based on the form, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, and semantic role of traditional Malay household vocabulary in Singkawang, especially in Semelagi Kecil Kelurahan. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data source in this study is the Singkawang dialect Malay spoken by native speakers of the Semelagi Kecil Kelurahan. The techniques used in this study are listening, competent, note taking, and recording. Data collection tools in this study are interview guides, notebooks, stationery and mobile phones. Based on research conducted, researchers have collected 65 vocabularies of traditional household appliances in the Singkawang dialect Malay. Overall data obtained from the interview process and video. The results of data analysis in the form of classified based on the name of the tool in the form of phonetic writing, then each tool is described in tabular form. The results of data obtained based on the lexical meaning are analyzed by referential analysis techniques or see a reference source in the form of a dictionary. The results of the data obtained based on cultural meanings were analyzed by means of cultural context analysis techniques in which this analysis presents the philosophy of each piece of equipment. Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is that directive and expressive speech acts are pragmatic studies. The problem in this research is the form of directive speech acts of students and teachers in learning Indonesian in class X IIS Indonesia Young High School and expressive speech acts of students and teachers in learning Indonesian in class X IIS Indonesia Young High School. The benefits of this research are divided into two namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits.The method used in this research is descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, peer, and video. The tools used in this study are mobile phones and stationery. The results of the analysis contained 76 directive and expressive speech acts of Indonesian students and teachers in class X IIS of Indonesia Young High School. Forms of directive speech acts requestives 12 data, forms of directive speech acts questions 24 data, forms of directive speech acts requirements 22 data, forms of directive speech acts permissives 4 data, forms of directive speech acts of advisories 10 data and forms of expressive speech acts 4 data.  Keywords:  Directive and Expressive Speech Acts, Speaking, Speech Acts
