Abstract

AbstractReading is one of the important aspects, reading can obtain information and knowledge and can improve understanding. If students have good reading interests and abilities, it is not difficult for students to take mandarin lessons. So that students can take Mandarin lessons well, te authors carry out an ability test method and a reading interest survey to 12th grade accounting students of Immanuel vocational high school. This research is divided into three parts. First, the researcher gave the HSK test, it was found that 49% of the students had completed and 51% of the students had not finished. In the second test, namely the reading test method with and without pinyin, it was found that the reading test without pinyin was 51% of students completed and the reading test with pinyin was 73% of students completed. Based on the results of the student's reading ability test, it can be said that the students' reading ability is still lacking and needs to be improved. The survey results found that as many as 4% of students really like reading, 39% of students like reading, 49% of students don't like reading and 8% of students really don't like reading. Lack of interest in reading in 12th grade accounting students of Immanuel vocational high school, namely students are not active in reading activities and students prefer other activities than reading.Keywords: Reading, Interest, Ability

Abstract

AbstractReading lesson is one of the important lesson in Mandarin class. Some people consider reading lesson is difficult lesson, because when learning process they often found difficulties. To know the difficulties in learning reading Mandarin Language, the authors do research for Mandarin students of Mandarin Language Education Tanjungpura University 2015. In the research process, the author use questionnaire and test methods. The questionnaire was given with aim to find out reason students reading difficulties and test were given in order to know the level of student reading comprehension. After do research, author conclude that the most dominant difficulties in reading are not knowing the meaning of the words, not knowing the letters, the comlexity of grammar and also the difficulty of understanding the reading content. This research indicate that the result of reading comprehension level on students of class A Mandarin Language Education Program 2015 is less and class B is good. Abstract

Abstract Game method is a method that uses the game to carry out teaching. In the teaching process, a game full of passion and challenges. Games also provide much ease in th eteaching process. In a pleasant classroom atmosphere, students will more quickly understand the contents of the teaching. The purpose of research is to understand whether using game methods can improve student’s memory and mastery of the Mandarin vocabulary. The author using game method on research in SMK NEGERI 8 Pontianak grade 10th accounting class.The result is that using a game method can improve student’s memories of the chinese vocabulary, besides that it can also improve student test score. Student final test scores are higher than previous test score. Test scoreon grade 10th accounting class number 1 increased 33% while on grade 10th acconting class number 2 increased 29%. We can conclude that use game method in teaching process can help to improve student’s ability in memorize Mandarin’s vocabularies.Keyword: Vocabularies Vocabulary Teaching Game Teaching Method

Abstract

AbstractGrammar in chinese language is the most important thing for students in learning this language, because various words and sentences are combined into sentence patterns. Among the 13 kinds of grammar pattern words, conjunctions are one of the important words. The conjunction is used to connect two words, phrases and clauses. In various types of conjunctions, "Suoyi" and "Yushi" are conjunctions that we often use. "Suoyi" is a word that used to express a result or end in a sentence. While "Yushi" is used to state the conditions in the final sentence after the conditions stated in the initial sentence. Occurs when these two words can replace each other when used, because "Suoyi" and "Yushi" have differences and also similarities in their usage patterns, so that sometimes these two words cannot replace each other. To find out The Level of Mastery and Level of Difficulty in Students of The 2016 Chinese Language Study Program FKIP Tanjungpura University on the use of the conjunctions "Suoyi" and "Yushi", the researcher conducted research by giving tests to students. The results showed that the ability of students to use the words "Suoyi" and "Yushi" were the same. Abstract

AbstractBoth of “dianr” and “xie” are belonged to indefinite measure word which used to indicate the indefinite amount. Even “dianr” and “xie” are equally belonged to a same word class, but the differences between them are lie in what the words meant and how its used. “dianr” can be used to express an indefinite amount, as well as “xie” but the amount which expressed was different. The amount that expressed by “dianr” is less than “xie”. Therefore, students may encounter some obstacles whenever they learn and use them, for example, there were some students who assumed that “dianr” and “xie” were same and can be substituting each other. In order to understand the mastery condition and difficulties of “dianr” and “xie” of Tanjungpura University Chinese Major year 2015 students, researcher used Literature Study Method and Test Method. The research results represent that Tanjungpura University Chinese Major year 2015 students can master “dianr” and “xie” well, with their mastery percentage that reached 75.47% and 71.59%. Abstract

AbstractFor second language learners, learning Chinese synonyms is a deeper way to understand the important meanings of words. "dasuan" and "jihua" have similar meanings, but they are used in different ways because they are not clear in definition and usage of the word. In this case, " dasuan " and " jihua " The two words are not rarely considered to have nearly similar meanings, but in the use of " dasuan " and " jihua " the two There is still a difference between two words. Because the two terms are often considered to be less obvious in their definitions and their use.In order to understand the mastery condition of 2016 Chinese students of the Tanjungpura University Faculty of Teacher Training and Education to ward mastery of the synonym words dasuan and jihua, the writer used a test method to examine students understanding and difficulties of the synonym dasuan and jihua. The author usesthe test method to test the students, and analyzes the difficulty of "dasuan" and "jihua". The results showed that the students had a better grasp of the "dasuan" than the "jihua". The "dasuan" is correct 82%, while the "jihua" is correct only 60%. The author also concluded that the difficulty of learning "dausan" and "jihua" is to distinguish the understanding of "dasuan" and "jihua", so there are a lot of wrong usages of "dasuan" and "jihua" .Keywords: Dasuan, Jihua, Condition of Mastery

Abstract

AbstractAt this time, Mandarin has been widely studied in schools. There are several competencies in learning Mandarin that students must master, such as good pronunciation, writing, and memorizing a lot of vocabularies. However, according to the majority of students, Mandarin is very difficult to learn. Improving students ability in learning Mandarin, the writer use a task based approach to students in class X SMA Koperasi Pontianak. The purpose of this study was to find out the improvement of the student’s ability in the class X of SMA Koperasi Pontianak by implementing the task based approach method in learning Mandarin. The research methodology used in this research was classroom action research and tests. Classroom action research started on January 20th, 2021 until February 17th, 2021. The test method in this study was divided into pre-test and post-test. Based on the results, the pre-test showed that the average score of the class was 61.29 for Mandarin subject. Meanwhile, based on the post-test results, it showed that the average score was 85.44. This proves that the task based approach method can improves students’ ability in learning Mandarin and improve students’ ability to learn independently.Keywords: Mandarin, Task Based Approach, Teaching Method

Abstract

AbstractThe three common verbs in Chinese are “chuan”, “dai” and “yong”. They have the same semantics but different specific usages. Therefore, Chinese learners often misuse these three words. In order to understand the mastery condition and analyse the difficulties of students on using the verbs of “chuan”, “dai” and "yong” on the Chinese Language students of Tanjungpura University in academic year 2019, the author used a test method to examine student and analyses the difficulties of “chuan”, “dai” and “yong”. The test results show that the percentage of correct answers for the word “chuan” is 48,42%, the percentage of correct answers for the word “dai” is 57,84% and the percentage of correct answers for the word “yong” is 62,83%. From the results obtained by the author, we can know that they have a better grasp of “yong” and “dai” than “chuan”.Keywords: Verbs, “chuan”, “dai” and “yong”, The Condition of Mastery
