Abstract

This study aims to analyze the synergy between economic policies and environmental policies in the context of sustainable development. The research method applied in this study is a systematic literature review, utilizing 500 scientific articles sourced from the Scopus database. Article reviews were conducted using the Vosviewer application to map and analyze the relationships between concepts as well as the main findings in the existing literature. The research findings reveal that the integration of economic and environmental policies through instruments such as carbon taxes, renewable energy subsidies, and environmental regulations that support innovation has enhanced the effectiveness in achieving sustainable development goals. Additionally, cross-sector collaboration and active stakeholder participation have proven to be key factors in creating harmonious and sustainable policies. This study contributes to the development of a research roadmap on the synergy between economic and environmental policies, providing a foundation for more in-depth and applicable future research. The limitation of this study is that the articles used are solely sourced from the Scopus database, thereby the research findings cannot comprehensively depict issues related to economic and environmental policies in various global contexts. Future research should utilize scientific articles sourced from other reputable international databases, such as Web of Science and Dimensions Scholars, to obtain a broader and deeper understanding of the synergy between economic and environmental policies. Thus, this study provides important insights for policymakers in designing effective strategies to achieve sustainable development through the integration of economic and environmental policies.

Abstract

This narrative review examines the role of strategic communication in crisis management, focusing particularly on its effectiveness in fostering public trust during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study aims to explore how transparent, responsive, and technology-integrated communication strategies influence collective behavior and institutional legitimacy. Using literature sourced from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed, this review applies thematic analysis to synthesize findings across three dimensions: government public communication, digital media engagement, and internal organizational resilience. The results reveal that governments employing multimodal communication—combining factual messaging, symbolic narratives, and interactive channels—are more successful in promoting compliance and minimizing misinformation. Countries with open, participatory approaches generally report higher levels of public trust compared to those with top-down, controlled messaging. Additionally, media digitalization facilitates real-time feedback, enhances public engagement, and contributes to crisis transparency. However, systemic challenges such as fragmented communication systems, lack of adaptive training, and weak interagency coordination remain prevalent. These findings suggest the need for integrated policy frameworks that emphasize proactive, dialogic, and technologically enhanced communication strategies. Future studies should focus on developing context-specific models that accommodate cultural and institutional nuances. This review underscores that strategic communication is an indispensable pillar of effective crisis management and should be embedded as a fundamental element of public governance systems.

Abstract

This study explores Indonesia’s e government development between 2016 and 2024, analyzing its implications for administrative efficiency and public trust. It assesses trends in the E Government Development Index (EGDI), emphasizing the sub-indices of Online Service Index (OSI), Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII), and Human Capital Index (HCI). The research also examines regional disparities, digital participation, and the influence of service quality on citizen trust. The methodology combines quantitative analyses of EGDI scores with governance metrics and citizen trust indicators, supplemented by regional comparative analysis and case studies. Correlational and regression models were used to evaluate the impact of digital service quality on trust, while qualitative data from literature and case studies offered contextual insights into implementation gaps. Findings show that improvements in OSI, TII, and HCI have contributed to better public service delivery and enhanced public trust. However, regional disparities persist, particularly between urban and rural areas, affecting digital participation and service equity. Trust in government is significantly shaped by service reliability, transparency, and inclusiveness. While EGDI offers a useful performance proxy, it does not fully capture service satisfaction or governance responsiveness. The study concludes that to ensure inclusive and effective digital governance, Indonesia must integrate citizen centric service design, institutionalize transparency through open data, and bridge infrastructure gaps through policy harmonization. These steps are essential to promote democratic accountability, administrative efficiency, and sustainable public trust in the digital era.
