Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of article assignment activities on the critical thinking of students studying Islamic Religious Education at the 7th semester level. A total of 142 students registered in the Islamic Religious Education study program at one of the universities in Yogyakarta were studied using quantitative methodology. The findings show a strong and affirmative relationship between article allocation and the development of critical thinking skills. This study found that article assignments accounted for 45% of the variation in critical thinking abilities among Islamic Religious Education students. In addition, this study also revealed that 37.6% of the variation in cognitive learning achievement could be caused by various factors. Developing critical thinking skills is very important for writing scientific articles, because it allows students to engage in discussions and analyze developing social issues. Article assignments also facilitate analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of knowledge, thereby becoming an advantage for students in the digital information age. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kegiatanpenugasan artikel terhadap berpikir kritis mahasiswa yang belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam di tingkat semester 7. Sebanyak 142 mahasiswa yang terdaftar di program studi Pendidikan Agama Islam di salah satu Perguruan Tinggi di Yogyakarta yang diteliti dengan menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif. Temuan menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat dan afirmatif antara alokasi artikel dan pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Studi ini menemukan bahwa tugas artikel menyumbang 45% dari variasi kemampuan berpikir kritis di kalangan mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama Islam. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa 37,6% dari keragaman dalam prestasi belajar kognitif dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor. Mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat penting untuk menulis artikel ilmiah, karena memungkinkan siswa untuk terlibat dalam diskusi dan menganalisis isu-isu sosial yang berkembang. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of understanding Islamic and Social Humanities material on student perceptions in addressing contemporary social issues in Indonesia. Using a mixed method approach, this study involved 100 2nd semester students of the Constitutional Law study program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta who were selected through the random sampling method. Data were collected through attitude scales, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive tests, normality tests, linear tests, and hypothesis testing with regression analysis. The results showed a positive relationship between understanding Islamic and social humanities courses and students' perceptions of contemporary social issues. The correlation is based on a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.585. So this study reveals that the understanding of Islamic and Social Humanities material explains 58% of the variability of student perceptions in addressing contemporary social issues. Students who have an open and critical attitude towards social issues show a good understanding of the course. The process of student understanding develops through several stages, ranging from initial knowledge to the development of complex new ideas. The role of lecturers in providing space for discussion, reflection, and open dialog is very important in facilitating a critical and holistic understanding of contemporary social issues in the context of Islam and the social humanities.   Keywords: Islam and Social Humanities, Contemporary Social Issues, Understanding, Perception

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has given new hopes and changed the elements of education for the better, especially in inclusive education. AI is very concerned with equality, which is expected to help children with special needs get their rights and a more appropriate education. However, the presence of AI has also brought many negative impacts due to the lack of understanding of the ethical principles that must be implemented. This paper was compiled to explore The Importance of Ethical of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Inclusive Education. The results of this study show that until now there have been many public, private, and government organizations in various countries around the world that have created multiple guidelines to regulate, guide, and protect all elements involved and affected by the progress of AI. Among them are charter agreements and various guidelines related to ethical principles, basic rights, fundamental values, and other instruments that have been studied and compiled in detail and very systematically. But the conditions that have occurred until now are far from perfect. AI still presents many problems, concerns, and forms of unavoidable abuses, especially in inclusive education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' perceptions of the use of Google Classroom in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and their cognitive learning outcomes. A total of 78 students of grade XII of SMK Panca Bhakti Banjarnegara became the research subjects. This study used a quantitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, attitude scales, and documentation. Meanwhile, to test the hypothesis using simple linear regression analysis.Based on the research data, the majority of students, 67% of all respondents, scored well and thought that the use of Google Classroom materials in PAI learning was beneficial. Similarly, those who indicated that students' cognitive learning achievement in PAI learning was classified as good amounted to 58% of the total respondents who achieved a good score in the interpretation category. In addition, a strong positive correlation was seen between students' perceptions of the use of Google Classroom media in PAI learning and their cognitive learning achievement. Based on the significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.449, this study revealed that the findings of this study explained 45% of the variability in cognitive learning achievement. This indicates that students' perceptions about the use of Google Classroom in PAI learning represent 45% of the variability in cognitive learning achievement.This finding suggests that students' perspectives on using learning media play an important role in their cognitive learning achievement. This positive relationship emphasizes the importance of evaluating and improving the utilization of Google Classroom media in the context of distance learning, especially in PAI subjects in vocational high schools. Thus, this study provides an important foundation for the development of efficient and effective distance learning strategies through online media such as Google Classroom.
