Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic guidance and counseling in preventing adolescent deviant behavior in Timbang Lawan Village. The phenomenon of deviant behavior among adolescents has been increasing, ranging from delinquency, drug abuse, and violence to other forms of misconduct that can disrupt their moral and spiritual development. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The methods utilized in this approach include observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of this study reveal that Islamic guidance and counseling play a significant role in preventing deviant behavior and misconduct among adolescents by providing understanding of moral values, enhancing spiritual awareness, and strengthening their relationship with religion. Through the approach of Islamic guidance and counseling, religious values are applied to shape better character in adolescents. Islamic guidance and counseling have proven effective in helping adolescents overcome emotional and social problems, as well as providing them with guidance on living a life aligned with religious teachings. Thus, Islamic guidance and counseling can serve as a strategic effort in fostering adolescent morality amidst the challenges of modernization.

Abstract

Setiap orang menginginkan kehidupan yang sejahtera untuk menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari dengan memenuhi kebutuhan ekonominya akan pangan, sandang, dan papan. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan masyarakat. Salah satu cara untuk mencapai hal tersebut dengan menciptakan usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di desa Indrayaman dengan memanfaatkan ikan kembung sebagai bahan baku otak-otak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan minat masyarakat desa Indrayaman terhadap konsumsi ikan kembung dan kontribusi positif terhadap pendapatan UMKM setempat. Meskipun masih terdapat tantangan dalam hal standarisasi produk, kegiatan ini berhasil mempromosikan potensi ekonomi lokal dan meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai manfaat ikan bagi kesehatan. Upaya ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada peningkatan daya saing UMKM dan pengembangan produk pangan lokal. Program ini juga memberikan pelatihan diversifikasi produk perikanan, yang berdampak pada peningkatan penjualan lokal.

Abstract

Stres merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Stress adalah respon tubuh terhadap ketidakmampuan menghadapi tuntutan yang diterima yang bisa mengganggu kesehatan yang ingin dicapai. Penelitian ini bertujaun untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres dengan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Imelda. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis korelasional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII C yang berjumlah sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan ialah dengan menyebarkan angket pada siswa kelas VII C. Kemudian data hasil angket ini diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 22.0. Maka, berdasarkan analisis data, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, berdasarkan korelasi uji spearman rank diperoleh hasil nilai sig = 0,324 dimana 0,324 > 0,05 yang artinya tidak terdapat korelasi antara tingkat stress dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Nilai correlation coefficient r ialah -0,186 dimana menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kekuatan korelasi adalah sangat lemah. Dan angka correlation coefficient pada hubungan di atas bernilai negatif, maka arah hubungan dari kedua variabel tersebut ialah tidak searah.

Abstract

Background - Based on the researcher’s observations at the Jabal Rahmah Mulia Plus Junior High School Boarding School, it was found that students exhibited a low level of academic self-concept. A low academic self-concept may cause students to become easily discouraged, lose their motivation to learn, and be reluctant to participate actively in class because they perceive themselves as less intelligent than their peers. Academic self-concept refers to an individual’s perception, evaluation, and belief in their own abilities within the academic domain. Purpose - This study aims to determine whether group guidance using the scaling technique is effective in improving students’ academic self-concept. Method/approach - This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest model. The participants consisted of eight students with low levels of academic self-concept, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument used in this study was an academic self-concept questionnaire. Findings - The results of this study indicate that group guidance services using the scaling technique are effective in improving students’ academic self-concept. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, which yielded a Z value of -2.527 with a p-value of 0.012. Since the p-value < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. Conclusions - Group guidance services using the scaling technique can be utilized as a form of intervention to enhance students’ academic self-concept. This study is also expected to serve as a reference for the implementation of guidance and counseling services in schools, particularly in addressing psychological issues related to students’ academic aspects. Novelty/Originality/Value - This study offers novelty by emphasizing the effectiveness of group guidance using the scaling question technique in improving academic self-concept. It provides a theoretical contribution by expanding the understanding of the impact of the scaling question technique on students’ cognitive–reflective aspects, as well as a practical contribution by offering an alternative group guidance strategy for school counselors to optimize students’ academic potential.
