Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether there is an effect of digital literacy on student learning outcomes in the subject of natural sciences subject matter of motion at Junior high school 19 Jambi City and Marn International School Gambia. This research method uses a quantitative method with an associative research approach. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, with 45 class VII students in each school as the sample. Data was collected through the use of questionnaires that measure digital literacy variables and student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the digital literacy level of students in Indonesia and Gambia is in a fairly good category. Likewise, student learning outcomes in the two countries are also in the fairly good category. The normality test and linearity test show that the data is normally and linearly distributed. The regression test shows that there is an effect of digital literacy on student learning outcomes in both schools, with a significance value of less than 0.05.

Abstract

This research aims to describe efforts to improve student learning outcomes by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model for class XII MIPA students on Dynamic Electricity material at SMAN 13 Bungo. This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles, where each cycle is carried out in two meetings and consists of four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation, and ending with reflection. The subjects of this research were 33 students of class XII MIPA SMAN 13 Bungo, consisting of 19 students and 14 female students. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. The research results show that the project based learning (PjBL) learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in dynamic electricity subjects. Efforts to improve student learning outcomes by using observation data and end-of-cycle assessments in the form of essay questions, in cycle I obtained an average student score of 69.2 with 10 students succeeding with a student success percentage of 30.3%. In cycle II students obtained an average score of 82.2 with the number of successful students being 29 people with a student success percentage of 87.9%. Student activity and teacher activity during the learning process also increased. Based on the results of research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model has proven capable and successful in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Dynamic Electricity for Grade XII MIPA students at SMAN 13 Bungo. The research employed a classroom action research design conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings and encompassing four stages: planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The research subjects were 33 students of Grade XII MIPA at SMAN 13 Bungo, comprising 19 male and 14 female students. Data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results indicate that the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Dynamic Electricity. Based on observation data and end-of-cycle assessments in the form of essay tests, Cycle I resulted in an average score of 69.2, with 10 students achieving mastery, representing a mastery percentage of 30.3%. In Cycle II, the average score increased to 82.2, with 29 students achieving mastery, corresponding to a mastery percentage of 87.9%. In addition, both student activity and teacher performance showed noticeable improvement throughout the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Project-Based Learning model is effective and successful in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in Dynamic Electricity
