Abstract

Masa nifas adalah masa sesudah persalinan dan kelahiran bayi. Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang serius di Indonesia. Kejadian Robekan perineum tejadi pada sebagian besar (80%) ibu yang melahirkan spontan per vaginam dan pada kelompok usia 20-35 tahun sebanyak 86,7%, sedangkan pada umur kurang dari 20 dan lebih dari 35 tahun sebesar 13,3%. Terapi farmakologi yang digunakan dalam perawatan luka perineum yaitu penggunaan Povidone Iodine. Povidone Iodine dapat mengakibatkan efek samping berupa iritasi pada orang yang sensitive dan penyembuhan cukup lama sekitar 7-10 hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis perlakuan yang lebih berpengaruh terhadap lama penyembuhan luka perineum derajat 1 dan 2 pada ibu nifas di PMB Kecamatan Langsa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah ibu nifas dengan luka perineum derajat 1 dan 2 di PMB Kecamatan Langsa Barat, dengan jumlah sampel 20 orang, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Uji analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji Mann-Withney. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata lama penyembuhan luka perineum pada ibu nifas dengan teh daun binahong adalah 5 hari, sedangkan pada kelompok pemberian Povidone Iodine adalah 9 hari. Artinya teh daun binahong lebih berpengaruh dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka perineum pada ibu nifas. Hasil dari uji Mann-Withney didapatkan nilai p yaitu 0.000 < 0.005 yang artinya ada perbedaan bermakna terhadap lama penyembuhan luka perineum dengan menggunakan teh daun binahong dan Povidone Iodine.

Abstract

Old age is a factor that aggravates the occurrence of lower back pain due to the decline in body functions, especially bone. William's flexion exercise is one of the therapeutic exercises for lower back pain sufferers by strengthening the abdominal muscles and maximus gluteus muscles as well as stretching the extensor muscles of the back. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of William flexion training on lower back pain levels in the elderly In Blitar Age Blind Social Service Unit at Tulungagung Dormitory. This research uses Pre pre-experimental design by using model one group pre-test – post-test design. The population of this study were all elderly at UPT Social Service of Tresna Werdha Blitar Tulungagung Dormitory who experienced low back pain, the sample was taken with a total sampling technique of 33 respondents. The variable of therapy-free William flexion, the dependent variable of lower back pain. The study was conducted on March -April a processing using a Wilcoxon signed rank test with SPSS program. The result of the research was obtained before the therapy of William's flexion. Most of the respondents had severe back pain, 19 respondents (57.6%) and after the therapy of William's flexion, almost all respondents had mild back pain as many as 27 respondents (81.8%). The result of the statistic test of Wilcoxon signed rank by using the SPSS program got result P Value = 0,000 <0,05 so H1 accepted, which means there is an influence of William flex exercise to lower back pain level at elderly in Technical Service Unit of Tresna Werdha Blitar at Tulungagung year 2018. William's flexion exercises will increase muscle elasticity so that it will reduce pain and restore work to some muscle groups. William's flexion movement is done slowly and rhythmically so that it will stimulate the sensory nerve fibers that will inhibit the activation of pain receptors in Tresna Werdha Blitar Tulungagung Hostel

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the implementation of Cub Scout extracurricular activities in shaping the disciplinary character of fourth- and fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Watukelir. This research highlights the significance of early character education and the strategic role of scouting in cultivating discipline, responsibility, and independence among young learners. Methodology/approach: A qualitative descriptive approach was used. Data were collected through interviews with school personnel, observations of scouting activities, and documentation analysis. The data were analyzed using the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to ensure comprehensive and credible results. Results/findings: The findings indicate that the Cub Scout program is well-structured and is routinely implemented. Activities included regular training sessions on discipline, marching, proper use of Scout uniforms, and various outdoor exercises. These initiatives have significantly influenced students' disciplinary behavior, as reflected in improved punctuality, adherence to school rules, and greater engagement in class activities. Key supporting factors include strong commitment from Scout leaders, institutional support from schools, and enthusiastic student participation. Conclusions: The study concludes that Cub Scout extracurricular activities play a vital role in developing students’ disciplinary character when conducted consistently and aligned with their developmental needs. Limitations: The research was limited to a single school and a brief observation period, restricting insights into the long-term impacts. Contribution: This study reinforces the educational value of Scouting as a practical tool for fostering discipline among elementary school students.
