Abstract

This study examines Eliphaz's vision in Job 4:12-17, which has given rise to various interpretations regarding the identity of the spirit that appears. Through textual analysis, it is found that Eliphaz’s message, accusing Job of sin and doubting his righteousness before God, contradicts the depiction of Job as a righteous man in the book’s prologue. Although initial attempts to shake Job’s faith through physical and emotional suffering prove ineffective, Satan’s message of unbelief reappears through the vision Eliphaz recounts, indicating a thematic continuation of skepticism surrounding the authenticity of human righteousness and devotion to God. The study also explores the complexities of the language and theological context surrounding the vision and the implications of the influence of an evil spirit that may have played a role in conveying this misleading message.   Abstrak  Penelitian ini membahas visi Elifas dalam Kitab Ayub 4:12-17, yang menimbulkan berbagai interpretasi mengenai identitas roh yang muncul. Melalui analisis teks, ditemukan bahwa pesan Elifas, yang menuduh Ayub berdosa dan meragukan kebenarannya di hadapan Tuhan, bertentangan dengan penggambaran Ayub sebagai orang benar dalam prolog kitab. Meskipun upaya awal untuk menggoyahkan iman Ayub melalui penderitaan fisik dan emosional terbukti tidak berhasil, pesan ketidakpercayaan Setan muncul kembali melalui penglihatan yang diceritakan Elifas, yang menunjukkan kelanjutan tematik dari skeptisisme seputar keaslian kebenaran manusia dan pengabdian kepada Tuhan. Penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi kompleksitas bahasa dan konteks teologis yang mengelilingi visi tersebut, serta implikasi dari pengaruh roh jahat yang mungkin berperan dalam penyampaian pesan yang menyesatkan ini.

Abstract

 The presence of parachurch organizations has become an integral aspect of Christian ministry and community development, functioning as complementary entities that support the effectiveness of the church’s mission. However, the relationship between churches and parachurch organizations is not always harmonious, often marked by tensions and misunderstandings. This article explores the dynamics of the church-parachurch relationship by examining themes of synergy, theological challenges, financial management, and professionalism in service delivery. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology with phenomenological and theological approaches, the study investigates three key themes of synergy and tension: Theological Considerations and Financial Management, Professionalism and Collaborative Strategies, and Customer and Human Resource Management. The findings identify critical issues related to governance, funding, and service orientation within parachurch organizations. The study highlights the importance of fostering harmony and professionalism in church-parachurch relationships to enhance the effectiveness and societal impact of ministry in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

This research examines paradigmatic transformation in Christian education through the implementation of friendship spirituality as a response to the dichotomy between academic achievement and holistic character formation. Employing interpretive qualitative methodology with a theological hermeneutical approach to John 15:12-15, this study analyzes the relational construction between cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions in contemporary Christian education. Research findings suggest that spirituality of friendship, rooted in the concepts of philia and agape within the Johannine tradition, offers a theoretical framework for holistic pedagogical transformation. The implementation of friendship spirituality through virtue ethics-based character education, dialogical collaborative learning, the internalization of transformative service values, and the creation of inclusive learning communities can lead to integral Christian education. Results indicate that this approach is capable of forming students who possess intellectual competence, moral integrity, mature spirituality, and high social sensitivity within the context of a plural society. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji transformasi paradigmatik dalam pendidikan Kristiani melalui implementasi spiritualitas persahabatan sebagai respons terhadap dikotomi antara pencapaian akademik dan pembentukan karakter holistik. Melalui metodologi kualitatif interpretatif dengan pendekatan hermeneutik teologis terhadap perikop Yohanes 15:12-15, penelitian ini menganalisis konstruksi relasional antara dimensi kognitif, afektif, dan spiritual dalam pendidikan Kristiani kontemporer. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas persahabatan yang berfundasi pada konsep philia dan agape dalam tradisi Johannine memberikan kerangka teoritis bagi transformasi pedagogis yang holistik. Implementasi spiritualitas persahabatan melalui pendidikan karakter berbasis virtue ethics, pembelajaran kolaboratif dialogis, internalisasi nilai-nilai pelayanan transformatif, dan penciptaan komunitas belajar inklusif dapat merealisasikan pendidikan Kristiani yang integral. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan ini mampu membentuk peserta didik yang memiliki kompetensi intelektual, integritas moral, spiritualitas yang matang, serta sensitivitas sosial yang tinggi dalam konteks masyarakat plural.

Abstract

This study examines the development of Paulin-based apologetic spirituality as a theological strategy to address the proliferation of heretical teachings in cyberspace. Through qualitative research employing a biblical-theological methodology, this study analyzes the Pauline corpus to construct contemporary apologetic frameworks. The findings reveal that Paul's apologetic methodology in Acts 17:16-34 and 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 provides relevant theological foundations for confronting digital-era deceptions. The study concludes that Paulin's apologetic spirituality, characterized by contextual adaptation, intellectual engagement, and pastoral sensitivity, offers practical strategies for maintaining doctrinal integrity while engaging contemporary challenges in digital spaces. Abstrak Strategi teologis menghadapi proliferasi ajaran sesat di ruang siber. Melalui penelitian kualitatif dengan metodologi biblika-teologis, riset ini menganalisis korpus Paulin untuk membangun kerangka apologetis kontemporer. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa metodologi apologetis Paulus dalam Kisah Para Rasul 17:16-34 dan 1 Korintus 9:19-23 memberikan landasan teologis yang relevan untuk menghadapi penyesatan era digital. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa spiritualitas apologetis Paulin yang ditandai adaptasi kontekstual, keterlibatan intelektual, dan sensitivitas pastoral, menawarkan strategi efektif untuk mempertahankan integritas doktrinal sambil menghadapi tantangan kontemporer di ruang digital.
