Abstract

Penggunaan minyak goreng  merupakan salah satu kebutuhan pokok pada kehidupan masyarakat yang sangat dibutuhkan setiap hari. Minyak goreng yang tidak bisa dipakai akan menghasilkan limbah berupa minyak bekas (jelantah). Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi limbah minyak jelantah yaitu dengan pembuatan biodiesel. Pada Pengerjaan biodiesel dapat melakukan analisa transesterifikasi minyak dan metanol dengan bantuan katalis homogen seperti katalis KOH, NaOH dan NaOCH3. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis katalis KOH 1%, NaOH 1% dan NaOCH3 1%. Minyak jelantah dan metanol perbandingan (1:9) ditransesterifikasi pada suhu 65°C dan waktu reaksi transesterifikasi 120 menit dengan menggunakan 0,896 gram katalis KOH, NaOH dan NaOCH3. Hasil biodiesel terbaik pada katalis NaOCH3 dengan yield terbanyak 78,67%, densitas 40°C 875,4 kg/m3, viskositas kinematik 40°C 5,68 cSt, kadar air 0,049 %, bilangan asam 0,727 mgKOH/g dan kadar metil ester 51,19%. Semua parameter biodiesel telah memenuhi SNI 7182:2015, kecuali untuk kadar metil ester belum memenuhi SNI 7182:2015.

Abstract

Theuse of demonstration methods is one way to solve problems in the learning process. The purpose of this researc his to describe the planning, implementation, and the improvement of skills. This type of researc his class room action research, this study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach that is carriedoutin 2 collaborative cycles between researchers, teachers and fifth grade students, 02 KotoLamo, Kapur IX District, Lima Puluh Kota District. The results of this study indicate anincrease in student skills. The result of meronce cycleI 66.63 in crease din the second cycle 93.5, it can beconcluded that the demonstration method can improvethe skills of dating to fifth grade studentsKeywords: Skills, Meronce, Demonstration Method
