Abstract

In education, the curriculum is a key element that determines the success of the learning process. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is carried out on vocational competencies which are expected to serve as insights and guidelines in improving the practical abilities of vocational students in pursuing education. Curriculum implementation is reflected in learning activities at school. As part of educational reform in Indonesia with the hope of creating graduates who are better prepared to face the challenges of the times, the curriculum currently implemented is an independent curriculum. Not only in public schools, but the independent curriculum is also applied to vocational high schools. In vocational high schools (SMK), there are characteristics of a skills-based and vocational curriculum so that the results of this study reveal how the Merdeka Curriculum is adapted in vocational education and how its application can prepare students with relevant skills in the world of work. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method with the resource persons being the principal, teachers, and students. The data collection technique uses the Miles and Huberman Technique. The results showed that the implementation of Merdeka curriculum was analyzed in terms of input, process, and output. Then the positive impacts and challenges are also analyzed in this study.

Abstract

The management of educator is a crucial determinant in the improvement of education quality. In the context of SMKN 2 Sawahlunto, the main challenge is related to the lack of educators and the development of essential competencies needed. This investigation seeks to examine the strategies used in managing the educator workforce with the aim of improving the quality of education. The main emphasis is on assessing the quantity and competence of educators, in addition to forecasting future educational personnel needs. This research uses a descriptive qualitative methodology, utilizing data collection techniques that include document analysis, interviews with administrative personnel and educators, as well as direct observation of educator management practices. Narrative analysis was conducted to explain the prevailing strategies. The findings indicate that careful planning, which includes a thorough assessment of educator requirements and professional development initiatives, is crucial. Educational institutions are encouraged to implement transparent selection processes and to facilitate continuous training opportunities. In addition, the establishment of a well-defined organizational structure and strict monitoring of educator performance play a crucial role in the successful implementation of effective strategies. A comprehensive approach to educator personnel management is expected to significantly improve the quality of education at SMKN 2 Sawahlunto.

Abstract

In Islamic educational institutions, the role of leaders has a very strategic position in realizing the institutional vision. Leadership is a key element that drives the dynamics of an institution or organization. A leader is required to have the ability to anticipate change, manage resources effectively, and direct organizational strategies in realizing the institutional vision, especially in terms of developing institutional quality, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening competitiveness in various sectors. The quality of leadership significantly affects the direction and achievement of institutional goals. This study aims to explain the characteristics of leadership in the management of private Islamic educational institutions through a case study at SD Islam Al Muttaqin. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method. This study explains the characteristics of effective leadership in Islamic educational institutions emphasizing Islamic values ​​such as monotheism, Amanah and responsibility and deliberation. Supporting factors in leadership are communication, work motivation, exemplary behavior and reward-punishment systems. The results of the study indicate that the success of the institution is greatly influenced by the quality of visionary, fair, and inspiring leadership in managing resources and involving all elements of the school.

Abstract

Salah satu tantangan pendidikan saat ini adalah karakter siswa yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai nilai moral dan agama. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yang salah satunya tidak dipungkiri kemajuan teknologi memberikan dampak besar terhadap terbentuknya karakter siswa. salah satu upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam menanamkan perilaku yang baik adalah mengintegrasikan pembelajaran umum dengan kegiatan keagamaan. Salah satu program keagamaan yang telah banyak diterapkan di berbagai sekolah adalah Program Tahfidz. Berkenaan dengan itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen efektif program tahfidz Al Quran dalam mewujudkan generasi Islami di SD Islam Al muttaqin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil bidang tahfidz dan siswa. Analisis data berupa pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk keabsahan data penelitian, digunakan teknik triangulasi data dan member check. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam manajemen program tahfidz al quran melibatkan fungsi fungsi manajemen yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Proses perencanaan dilakukan dengan penetapan tujuan, target, jadwal, metode dan fasilitas pendukung. Selanjutnya pengorganisasian dilakukan dengan pembagian tugas dan tanggung jawab. Kemudian pelaksanaan program dilakukan setiap hari senin sampai kamis dan hari sabtu. Tahapan terakhir yaitu evaluasi dilakukan dengan membentuk dua orang Pembina tahfidz dan rapat rutin setiap minggu pada hari sabtu.
