Abstract

Kewajiban belajar-mengajar merupakan aspek fundamental dalam Islam yang bertujuan membentuk individu yang berilmu dan berakhlak mulia. Penelitian ini membahas konsep kewajiban belajar-mengajar dalam perspektif tafsir tarbawi untuk memahami landasan normatif dan praktisnya dalam pendidikan Islam. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah perlunya interpretasi ayat-ayat al-Qur’an terkait pendidikan yang relevan dengan tantangan pendidikan modern. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari jurnal akademik, kitab tafsir klasik dan kontemporer, serta literatur pendidikan Islam. Pendekatan tafsir maudhui (tematik) digunakan untuk menganalisis ayat-ayat al-Qur'an dan hadis terkait kewajiban belajar-mengajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kewajiban belajar-mengajar tidak hanya merupakan tuntutan individual, tetapi juga memiliki dimensi sosial untuk membangun masyarakat yang berpengetahuan dan bertanggung jawab. Konsep tafsir tarbawi menekankan pentingnya transfer ilmu yang diiringi pembentukan akhlak sebagai bagian integral dari proses pendidikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kewajiban belajar-mengajar dalam Islam berlandaskan prinsip kesetaraan, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab, yang relevan untuk diaplikasikan dalam berbagai konteks pendidikan saat ini. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan dalam mengembangkan pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia is an integral part of the Islamic cultural heritage that contributes to the development of national education. One important aspect of Islamic education is learning Arabic through classical texts, commonly known as kitab kuning. These texts play a significant role in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and universities, serving as key resources for students in studying Islamic teachings. This study aims to explore effective learning media that can assist students or learners facing difficulties in understanding kitab kuning texts, which are typically written in Arabic and presented in a verbal format. In this context, learning is considered effective when there is a joint commitment and effort between educators and learners. The research method employed is document analysis, focusing on the examination and interpretation of written materials within their context. The analyzed materials include published texts, books, articles, newspapers, magazines, and other relevant documents. The findings indicate that learning Arabic through kitab kuning in Islamic religious education has a positive impact, particularly in enhancing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor knowledge. In conclusion, it contributes to behavioral changes among students or learners, as evidenced by improved teaching and learning quality in both pesantren and universities.

Abstract

This study stems from the anomaly of consumer behavior in the pesantren environment, where the exemplary behavior of teachers as a subjective norm is assumed to strongly influence the purchasing decisions of santri, a phenomenon that challenges rational consumer theory. The purpose of this study is to quantitatively test the influence of Subjective Norms (Teacher Exemplarity) on the purchasing decisions of sarong products among santri at Pesantren Al Istiqomah. Using a quantitative approach through a survey, the data were analyzed using simple linear regression techniques. Surprisingly, the statistical analysis results showed no significant influence (Sig. 0.634 > 0.05), with a very low coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.003. This finding conclusively rejects the research hypothesis, leading to the conclusion that teacher role modeling is not the primary determinant in students' purchasing decisions. The results indicate that within the walls of the boarding school, economic rationality such as considerations of price and product quality is likely to play a far more dominant role than the social impulse to emulate role models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of pesantren haul traditions on the income growth of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with a case focus on Pesantren Gentur in Cianjur Regency, Indonesia. The haul tradition is viewed not only as a religious activity but also as a socio-economic phenomenon that has a significant impact on the surrounding community. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was employed. Primary data were collected through surveys and interviews with 111 MSME actors around Pesantren Gentur and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results reveal that the pesantren haul tradition has a positive and significant effect on MSME income growth, with a path coefficient of β = 0.843, T-statistic = 27.710, and p < 0.001. The structural model explains 71% of the variance in MSME income growth with a substantial effect size (f² = 2.451) and strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.593). These findings confirm that pesantren haul functions not only as a spiritual event but also as a local economic driver. The implications suggest that better management of haul traditions is essential to optimize economic benefits for MSMEs without diminishing their religious values. Local governments and pesantren managers are expected to synergize in supporting infrastructure, event governance, and MSME empowerment. Future studies are recommended to expand the scope to pesantren in other regions and to integrate variables such as MSME digitalization to enrich the analysis of religious tradition-based economic development.

Abstract

The development of Islamic educational institutions is currently quite rapid and has become a favorite choice for the community. This is inseparable from the success of managing human resources (HR). This study aims to examine competition-based HR management at Al Muttaqin High School in Tasikmalaya City, an educational institution that is superior in terms of achievement compared to other schools. The focus of the study includes basic concepts, strategies, implementation, benefits, objectives, and challenges in HR management, using best practices at the institution as a case study. Douglas McGregor's theory is the basis for this study. This study uses a qualitative method with in-depth interviews and observations of the academic community at Al Muttaqin High School. The research findings identify several basic concepts of competition-based HR management, including (1) Quality education, which includes teaching, curriculum innovation, organization, learning culture, educational technology, diversity, and leadership. (2) Strategy and implementation, such as learning vision, learning culture, learning investment, and achieving vision targets. (3) Benefits and objectives, including increasing individual motivation, team collaboration, innovation, operational efficiency, and parent and student satisfaction. (4) Best practices at the institution include (a) Performance assessment. (b) Project-based assessment. (c) Innovation competition. (4) Student feedback. The implications of this research show that this approach is able to increase work enthusiasm and encourage HR progress at Al Muttaqin High School, Tasikmalaya City.

Abstract

Introduction: The proliferation of dakwah fashion content on social media, driven by influencers, has created a cultural paradox where Islamic values intersect with consumerism. While this phenomenon is assumed to influence purchasing decisions, its actual impact on individuals who are religiously educated remains empirically under-researched. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage intensity and dakwah fashion influencers on the consumption behavior of female Islamic Education (PAI) students in Indonesia. Methods: A quantitative approach was employed, using a total sampling method (census) to involve 50 active female students from the PAI program at STIT Al-Azami Cianjur. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression, including classical assumption tests. Results: The statistical analysis yielded a counterintuitive yet significant outcome. The findings indicate that neither the intensity of social media usage nor the influence of dakwah fashion influencers had a statistically significant effect, either partially or simultaneously, on the students' consumptive behavior (p > 0.05). The model’s coefficient of determination (R-Square) was also extremely low, confirming a weak explanatory power. Conclusion and suggestion: This study concludes that female PAI students exhibit a form of "critical immunity" to the commercial persuasion embedded in dakwah fashion content. It is argued that their formal religious education fosters a critical religious literacy, enabling them to separate aesthetic appreciation from consumptive action. These findings challenge the generalized assumption of influencer power and underscore the necessity of segmenting Muslim consumers not just by piety, but by their level of critical religious education. Future qualitative research is recommended to explore the cognitive mechanisms behind this immunity. Abstract

This study examines the management of implementing the Talaqqi method and its effectiveness in the Tahfidz Al-Qur’an program at Darussalamah Al Mubarok Islamic Boarding School, Cianjur. The research aims to analyze how planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Talaqqi method contribute to improving students’ memorization quality. Using a qualitative field-study approach, data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving tahfidz supervisors and students. The findings reveal that the management of Talaqqi implementation is carried out systematically through structured scheduling, grouping based on ability levels, and regular evaluation of memorization progress. The method proved effective in strengthening students’ mastery of tajweed, fluency, and discipline due to intensive face-to-face interaction between teacher and student. However, challenges remain, including limited teacher-student ratio, varied memorization abilities, and time constraints. Strengthening human resources, optimizing group management, and improving review schedules are essential to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of the program. Penelitian ini mengkaji manajemen implementasi metode talaqqi serta efektivitasnya dalam program tahfidz Al-Qur’an di Pondok Pesantren Darussalamah Al Mubarok Cianjur. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis bagaimana proses perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi metode talaqqi berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas hafalan santri. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi lapangan, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan para ustadz pembimbing dan santri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen talaqqi diterapkan secara sistematis melalui penyusunan jadwal hafalan, pembagian kelompok berdasarkan kemampuan, serta evaluasi berkala terhadap perkembangan hafalan santri. Metode ini efektif meningkatkan ketepatan tajwid, kelancaran hafalan, dan kedisiplinan belajar karena adanya interaksi tatap muka yang intensif. Namun, hambatan seperti keterbatasan jumlah guru, variasi kemampuan santri, dan waktu belajar yang terbatas masih menjadi tantangan. Penguatan kapasitas guru, optimalisasi manajemen kelompok, dan penjadwalan murojaah yang intensif perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies implemented by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students’ moral character through the management of learning and the strengthening of a religious school culture at MTs Darussalam Al Mubarok Cianjur. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand how pedagogical planning, classroom management, and religious habituation programs support character formation. The findings reveal that PAI teachers employ three integrated strategies: exemplary behavior, habituation of religious practices, and affective approaches that build emotional closeness with students. These strategies are reinforced by a well-managed religious school environment, principal support, and structured programs such as daily Quran recitation, congregational prayers, and routine mentoring. Challenges encountered include variations in student motivation and limited instructional time. Overall, the study highlights that effective learning management combined with a strong religious culture plays a crucial role in fostering students’ Islamic morals and disciplined behavior. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi yang diterapkan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam membentuk akhlak siswa melalui pengelolaan pembelajaran dan penguatan budaya religius di MTs Darussalam Al Mubarok Cianjur. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk memahami bagaimana perencanaan pembelajaran, manajemen kelas, serta program pembiasaan religius mendukung proses pembinaan akhlak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI menerapkan tiga strategi yang saling terintegrasi, yaitu keteladanan, pembiasaan praktik keagamaan, dan pendekatan afektif yang membangun kedekatan emosional dengan siswa. Strategi tersebut diperkuat oleh budaya madrasah yang religius, dukungan kepala madrasah, serta kegiatan terstruktur seperti tadarus harian, salat berjamaah, dan pembinaan rutin. Adapun hambatan yang dihadapi meliputi perbedaan motivasi siswa dan keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengelolaan pembelajaran yang efektif dan budaya religius yang kuat berperan penting dalam pembentukan akhlak Islami siswa.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in fostering national character and civilization. In Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) occupies a crucial position within the national education system. Its importance extends beyond the spiritual aspect to the development of students' morals, ethics, and personalities. PAI serves as the foundation for developing a generation with noble character, responsibility, and social awareness. This study analyzes the importance of integrating Islamic values ​​into formal education, particularly in the face of the challenges of globalization, moral degradation, and the identity crisis of the younger generation. PAI serves as an ideological bulwark against the negative influences of external cultures and is an effective medium for instilling the values ​​of tolerance, peace, and diversity in accordance with the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). This study employed a literature review method with a qualitative-descriptive approach through document analysis, educational regulations, and research related to PAI in Indonesia. The results show that PAI plays a vital role in developing education that is not only cognitively oriented, but also affective and psychomotor. A comprehensive PAI curriculum has been shown to positively impact student behavior in schools and society.
