Abstract

This research aims to determine the implications of the natural disposition concept in Islam for achieving the objectives of National Education. The conclusion of this research shows that teachers will help Indonesian people easily in achieving the goals of National Education when they have understood the natural disposition concept. The education process begins with understanding the natural disposition concept of humans who has a basis, nature, character, and the potential way of working. Three approaches are needed in the educational process. They are the philosophical tauhid approach, chronological approach, and functional approach. This research used a descriptive-analytic appoach with a literature study to examine the natural disposition concept in Islam and its Implications in achieving the objectives of National Education.

Abstract

It is a requirement for Islamic boarding schools-based Islamic educational institutions to improve themselves and carry out more contemporary reforms. This step must be conducted without ignoring the spirit of pesantren as the place of people who understand and implement religious knowledge in everyday life. These reforms can be related to institutional management in transformative leadership, educational curriculum combining religious and general knowledge, also learning processes in the terms of approaches, models, and learning methods. It can be achieved by developing effective communication among educators, students, and parents. In this study, the authors focus on the problem of reforming learning methods by using the development of effective communication at the Islamic boarding school of Al-Wustho Foundation in Pabuaran Subang which is considered successful. This study aims to provide correct knowledge and information about the important changes in Islamic boarding schools. By using case study and descriptive qualitative approach, the authors try to uncover the occurring phenomena by conducting interviews, observations, and processing documents by interpretating the data to become a unified results. This study revealed that the intended modern learning methods are the refinement and adjustment of classical methods, muhafadzah, riyadhah, and scientific rihlah. The four methods are developed through effective communication to lead to the goals of habituating discipline, healthy living, and worship so that Islamic boarding schools do not lose their spirit to meet the needs of education, development, and society in the religious field.

Abstract

Responsibility is a job to perform an obligation or complete a task with full satisfaction given by someone on his own promise or commitment. Educators are not just teachers, but the creation of adequate quality education includes parents, teachers and the community. The research aims to raise human awareness of intentional and unintentional behavior and actions. the responsibility of educators is the obligation to bear, maintain and provide training in the form of teaching about morals and intelligence of the mind. An educator has a responsibility for students who are under the auspices of his leadership how to direct them towards maturity, both intellectually, mentally and morally, to carry out the humanitarian function they carry. as a servant before his Khaliq and also as Khalifatu fil ardh (maintainer) in this universe.

Abstract

Pesantren is the oldest educational institution in Indonesia and has made a major contribution to the nation and religion in Indonesia in addition to providing the implementation of quality education and teaching by emphasizing spiritual values, it has also given birth to alumni who have religious intellectuality and are ready to become leaders of the nation, especially for Muslims. . Reflected in the Habiburrahman Islamic Boarding School which emphasizes the formation of religious character to its students in facing the era of globalization that is currently happening. The students are demanded to have a personality with strong religious character and can make the era of globalization a challenge and opportunity in integrating Islamic values. The application of education and teaching at the Habiburrahman Islamic Boarding School is characterized by strengthening the character of students to form a strong personality of faith and piety and can form a person who has good morals in the midst of globalization and is ready to enter the community as a leader who often preaches in enforcing amar ma'ruf nahi munkar.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the concept of sincerity associated with the management of educational institutions to form professional educators and education personnel. Sincerity as the teachings of the Islamic religion are contained in the Qur'an and hadith, what is the definition and nature of sincerity, what are the characteristics of sincere people and how is the implementation of sincerity in managing educational institutions. By using a qualitative research approach and descriptive analysis method with data sources in the form of verses of the Qur’an, the hadith of the prophet and the results of research by experts, it was found that the following were: 1) the nature of sincere is pure in intention, clean in mind in doing good, upright in heart act and do only hoping to please Allah. 2) the characteristic of sincere people is that they always do good deeds and are sincere in doing good deeds; awake from everything that Allah forbids; in working, doing activities, teaching, educating and managing educational institutions; someone who does it sincerely will feel happy if goodness is realized by anyone, and 3) the management of educational institutions sincerely has an impact on the formation of professional educators and educational staff.Keyword: sincerity, managing and educational institutionsAbstrakTulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh konsep ikhlas dihubungkan dengan pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan untuk membentuk pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan yang profesional. Ikhlas sebagai ajaran agama islam terdapat dalam Al Qur’an dan hadis, bagaimana definisi dan hakikat ikhlas, bagaimana karakteristik orang-orang yang ikhlas dan bagaimana implementasi ikhlas dalam mengelola lembaga pendidikan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dan metode deskriptif analisis dengan sumber data berupa ayat-ayat alquran, hadis nabi dan hasil penelitian para ahli, ditemukan hal-hal sebagai berikut: 1) hakikat ikhlas adalah suci dalam niat, bersih batin dalam beramal, lurus hati dalam bertindak dan berbuat hanya mengharapkan ridha Allah. 2) karakteristik orang ikhlas adalah senantiasa beramal dan bersungguh-sungguh dalam beramal; terjaga dari segala yang diharamkan Allah; dalam bekerja, beraktivitas, mengajar, mendidik, dan mengealola lembaga pendidikan; seseorang yang meakukannya dengan ikhlas akan merasa senang jika kebaikan terealisasi oleh siapapun, dan 3) pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan dengan ikhlas berdampak pada terbentuknya pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan yang profesional.Kata kunci: Ikhlas, mengelola dan lembaga pendidikan

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) is one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Pesantren can produce the next generation of the nation who have the capability to carry the message of da’wah to various regions based on the sources of Islamic teachings, namely the Qur’an and Hadiths. This is as carried out by Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihsan (English: Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School) which is located at Jalan Cibiru Hilir No. 23, Cibiru Hilir Village, Cileunyi, Bandung Regency. This study aimed at reviewing the characteristics of Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School through a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). In this study, the researcher applied a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Furthermore, the data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Results indicate that Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School has at least six characteristics that distinguish it from other Islamic boarding schools, namely (1) integrality, (2) moderateness, (3) inclusivity, (4) holistic feature, (5) simplicity, and (6) Islam amaliy. These six characteristics are the strengths of Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School when compared to other Islamic boarding schools around it. Meanwhile, its weaknesses are technology advancements and the swift current of globalization. Therefore, the six characteristics possessed by Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School often face limited quality of human resources and problems related to the adjustment to the management of digital-based educational and institutional activities. Furthermore, the opportunities possessed by Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School are found in its moderateness and inclusivity characteristics so that this Islamic boarding school tends to be able to adapt to the times. The threats faced with its moderateness and inclusivity characteristics are the possibility of an identity crisis that may undermine the meaning and spirit of Islamic boarding school education systems.

Abstract

Abstract This study describes further the implementation of Arabic language learning in Pesantren and Madrasah, as well as examines the comparison of Arabic learning in Pesantren and Madrasah. This field research uses a qualitative approach. The data source comes from Arabic teachers who teach at the Pesantren Darussalam Kepahiang and Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Curup. Researchers used interviews and documentation as data collection instruments. Meanwhile, in analyzing the data, the researchers used the following stages: (1) analyzing the implementation of Arabic learning in Pesantren and Madrasah through interview data and documentation that had been obtained, (2) identifying and analyzing the comparison of Arabic learning in both, (3) verifying and conclusions, (4) pouring out the research results in the form of a qualitative research report. The results showed that learning Arabic at Pesantren Darussalam Kepahiang and MA Muhammadiyah had the same goal in mastering Arabic skills, but there were still significant differences in the media and learning methods used. The use of information technology and varied learning methods in learning Arabic has been used at MA Muhammadiyah Curup while at Pesantren Darussalam Kepahiang still uses markers and blackboard media and single learning methods. Even though they seem the same in the evaluations given, there are more textbooks used in Pesantren than in Madrasah. Keywords: Learning, Arabic, Pesantren, Madrasah Abstrak Penelitian ini menguraikan lebih jauh terkait pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pesantren dan Madrasah, serta mengkaji perbandingan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pesantren dan Madrasah tersebut. Penelitian lapangan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data berasal dari guru bahasa Arab yang mengajar di Pesantren Darussalam Kepahiang dan Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Curup. Peneliti menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Sedangkan dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan tahapan berikut: (1) menganalisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pesantren dan Madrasah melalui data wawancara dan dokumentasi yang telah diperoleh, (2) mengidentifikasi dan menganalis perbandingan pembelajaran bahasa Arab pada keduanya, (3) melakukan verifikasi dan pengimpulan, (4) menuangkan hasil penelitian dalam bentuk laporan penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pesantren Darussalam Kepahiang dan MA Muhammadiyah memiliki tujuan yang sama dalam penguasaan keterampilan berbahasa Arab, namun masih terlihat perbedaan yang cukup signifikan dalam media dan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan. Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan metode pembelajaran bervariasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab telah digunakan pada MA Muhammadiyah Curup sedangkan di Pesantren Darussalam Kepahiang masih menggunakan media spidol dan papan tulis dan metode pembelajaran tunggal. Walau terkesan sama dalam evaluasi yang diberikan, tapi buku ajar yang digunakan di Pesantren lebih banyak dibandingkan di Madrasah.

Abstract

The learning method has a very important position in teaching and learning activities because it is one of the main factors that determine the success of learning. This study aims to determine the method of learning tahfiz al-Quran (memorizing the Quran) at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Amal, Cijeungjing, Ciamis, West Java. This research is qualitative research and case study. The data were collected using observations, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the triangulation technique. The results showed that there were several methods of learning tahfiz al-Quran used at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Amal, namely the lecture method, setoran, question and answer, classical, and takrir (repetition) method. The educational values ​​that can be learned from these methods include 1) to achieve success in the process of memorizing the Quran, strong motivation is needed; 2) memorizing the Quran requires various methods; 3) success of tahfiz al-Quran requires a continuous process.

Abstract

Tantangan ekonomi global terutama di Asia sudah cukup mengundang respons beberapa pelaku terutama di bidang pendidikan Islam di pondok pesantren. Pendidikan kewirausahaan menjadi sesuatu yang mendesak di samping pengetahuan Islam itu sendiri. Para siswa dipersiapkan tidak hanya untuk menjadi ilmuwan Islam tetapi juga menjadi wirausaha yang mampu bertahan dalam persaingan global di bidang ekonomi. Pesantren ini dapat melengkapi kurikulum dengan berbagai kegiatan wirausaha seperti perdagangan, bertani, menggiring ikan, menggembala sapi, menggembala kambing, dan industri rumahan. Ini adalah sistem pendidikan yang tidak biasa selama ini di sekolah berasrama pendidikan di Indonesia.
