Abstract

This research is undermined by the observance of directive illusions in the presidency debate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024. The aim of the study was to describe the observance of directive illusions in the presidency debate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024 and to explain how speakers use language to the purpose of action and how the speaker partners conclude the meaning intended to shape what is said. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods to describe data compliance with directive illusions in the presidential debate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024. The theory used in this study is the pragmatic theory, where pragmatics is the linguistics that study the meaning of the speaker. The results of the research show that the fulfillment of the illusion of the directive that emerges is questions and demands. It shows variations in the use of obedience to directive illusions, including orders, requests, suggestions, and prohibitions, used by the vice president to influence the views and actions of voters. In addition, the rhetorical strategy used in the debate also affects the effectiveness of following the illusion of directives in achieving the desired communicative objectives. Implications of this research are a better understanding of the use of language in political contexts and the importance of pragmatic analysis in understanding verbal interaction in the political arena.

Abstract

This research was promoted by several posters in the 2024 capres and cawapres campaigns namely the couple Anies – Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Ganjar Pranowo – Mahfud M.D. The research aims to analyze semiotic digestion on posters used in the presidential and vice presidential campaigns in the context of the General Election 2024, with a focus on semantic aspects. In a political context, posters are a powerful visual communication medium to convey a message to potential voters. In semiotic studies, posters can be studied from the point of view of symbols, icons, and indices that make up meaning. The research method used was a qualitative analysis of the campaign posters of various capres and cawapres candidates competing in the 2024 General Election. And also using content analysis techniques. Data is analyzed by considering semiotic elements such as images, text, colors, and layouts. The results show that semiotic fertilization on the 2024 capres and cawapres campaign posters was heavily influenced by the political, cultural, and social context at the time. Through semantic analysis, posters can reveal the values, visions, and missions of candidates, as well as try to influence voter perceptions and attitudes. For example, the use of certain colors, symbols, and specific visual language can arouse emotions, identification, and solidarity with a particular candidate.

Abstract

Slow learner adalah siswa yang memiliki level kognitif yang lebih rendah serta  keterbatasan dalam berbahasa verbal dibandingkan dengan teman sebayanya. Pembelajar kategori slow learner memerlukan media dalam belajar bahasa seperti the Thing Puzzle Intective Media untuk menunjang keterampilan dalam  berkomunikasi secara verbal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bagaimana pengembangan media puzzle untuk mengasah keterampilan verbal. Ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini berupa pengembangan “puzzle interaktif” dengan materi, tampilan, dan layout yang menarik, sehingga sesuai digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran bahasa bagi slow learner. Produk ini, membantu slow learner menyusun dan merangkai kalimat sederhana dengan struktur yang sempurna berbantuan gambar dan kata kunci yang tercantum didalam “puzzle”. Media ini meningkatkan antusias serta motivasi slow learner dalam berbahasa verbal. Media ini juga melatih slow learner agar menghasilkan kalimat sederhana yang bermakna secara kontektual.
