Abstract

Teachers' readiness to educate in terms of the teaching and learning process, learning methods, learning media, strategies, and learning conditions must be maximized. Varied learning methods can prevent the learning process in the classroom from being ineffective. One learning approach that can be used to make the learning process effective is edutainment. Edutainment not only makes the learning process more enjoyable but also increases the effectiveness and quality of education in a way that is adaptive and oriented to the needs of the digital generation. This study is based on how edutainment education is applied to Play Group (KB) Mutiara Ummi Kalasan. The purpose of this study was to describe the concepts and methods of edutainment applied at Play Group (KB) Mutiara Ummi Kalasan. This study uses descriptive qualitative research with data analysis techniques, such as data reduction, data presentation (data display), drawing conclusions, and verification. In this study, researchers found there were five concepts of edutainment learning, namely: a) risk-free learning environment, b) triune brain theory, c) active learning, d) Learning styles, and e) SAVI learning when the research shop place and four methods used namely a) playing method, b) storytelling method, c) singing method, and d) question and answer method.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu pelajaran yang dipelajari pada setiap jenjang pendidikan. Komunikasi dalam matematika menolong guru memahami kemampuan siswa dalam menginterpretasikan dan mengekspresikan pemahamannya tentang konsep dan proses matematika yang mereka pelajari. Kemampuan berkomunikasi secara matematik masih menjadi titik lemah siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan sebuah model pembelajaran yang aktif dan inovatif. Tujuan artikel ini untuk mengkaji literatur tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sekolah dasar sehingga dapat dijadian sebagai referensi bagi guru maupun peneliti selanjutnya agar dapat diterapkan di dalam proses pembelajaran. Artikel ini menggunakan menggunakan jenis/pendekatan penelitian studi kepustakaan (library research) atau studi literatur (literature riview). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui model Kooperatif Learning mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komusikasi matematis dan hasil belajar siswa, siswa menjadi disiplin percaya diri, dan memiliki toleransi antar sesama.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the condition of learning environments in early childhood education (ECE) institutions in Banjarmasin. The study used a descriptive qualitative observational method involving 19 PAUD institutions consisting of kindergartens, Raudhatul Athfal and playgroups. Data were collected through direct observation of physical facilities, including play areas, ventilation, spatial arrangement, and availability of toys and reading booksthatsupport children's development. Thematic analysis based on data needs was used in thisstudy. The resultsshow that most institutions have met the standardsfor environmental arrangements, such as the presence of outdoor play areas, toys that support exploration, and the provision of books for basic literacy. However, some institutions still need to improve teacher-child ratios and more consistent timings. Good environmental arrangements can facilitate children's exploration and development optimally. Therefore, PAUD institutions need to continue to improve the organisation of the learning environment to achieve maximum learning objectives.Keywords: learning environment, environment arrangement, early childhood

Abstract

Pengembangan pemahaman anak usia dini terhadap konsep-konsep dalam STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan. STEAM bagi anak usia dini penting karena meletakkan dasar yang kuat bagi pembelajaran anak sepanjang hidup dan kemampuannya dalam beradaptasi karena memupuk keterampilan penting seperti kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, berpikir ilmiah, dan kreativitas. Berbagai media dan kegiatan yang disesuaikan pada karakteristik dan kebutuhan anak dapat digunakan, salah satu alternatifnya adalah melalui serial pendek Curious George. Serial pendek ini dikenal sebagai serial pendek keluarga bernuansa petualangan yang cocok untuk segala umur dan kaya akan elemen pendidikan dengan karakter utama George yang memiliki rasa keingintahuan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi serial pendek Curious George dalam memperkenalkan konsep-konsep dasar STEAM melalui analisis konten pada setiap aktivitas dan adegan dalam serial pendek yang dapat memicu pemahaman anak pada suatu topik khususnya yang berkaitan dengan STEAM. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa serial pendek Curious George memiliki elemen-elemen pendidikan yang sesuai untuk dijadikan sumber belajar anak usia dini dalam mengenal STEAM. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kegiatan pembelajaran anak usia dini yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran STEAM melalui penggunaan serial pendek Curious George sebagai sumber belajar dalam bentuk video.

Abstract

The implementation of Inclusive PAUD cannot be separated from the existence of service programs that help all children get learning that is appropriate to their respective characteristics, one of which is through the existence of individual learning programs. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) in inclusive early childhood education, specifically at TK Negeri Pembina Banjarmasin Utara 2. The IEP is a form of educational service designed based on individual assessment results of students, particularly children with special needs (CWSN), to ensure that the learning process is effective, inclusive, and aligned with each child’s unique characteristics. The research employs a qualitative method with data collected through interviews and observations. The findings show that the school involves various stakeholders in the planning and implementation of the IEP, including classroom teachers, special education teachers, parents or guardians, and psychologists. The IEP includes assessment results, the child's identity and profile, short- and long-term learning goals, teaching methods and approaches, lesson plans, as well as evaluation and follow-up plans. The evaluation is conducted continuously and adjusted flexibly in accordance with the child's development. The IEP has proven to support an adaptive and holistic learning process and helps fulfill the educational rights of children with special needs in a fair and non-discriminatory manner.

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden age that plays a crucial role in laying the foundation of education, particularly in developing moral and religious values through the learning of hadith. Hadith learning at RA Nuruttaqwa Banjarmasin is implemented as part of character building and the habituation of Islamic behavior among children. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and assessment of hadith learning for early childhood at RA Nuruttaqwa Banjarmasin. The research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the head of the institution and group teachers. The findings reveal that hadith learning is planned at the beginning of each semester by setting objectives, processes, and target hadiths to be achieved. Implementation is carried out using habituation, movement, and demonstration methods tailored to the content of each hadith, with a target of one hadith per month. Assessment is conducted daily and semesterly through observation, checklists, and rewards such as praise for children who have memorized the hadith. In conclusion, the hadith learning strategy at RA Nuruttaqwa significantly contributes to shaping Islamic character and behavior in early childhood. It is recommended that teachers continue to develop more interactive learning methods and media and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure that hadith learning emphasizes not only memorization but also comprehension and the application of hadith values in daily life.
