Abstract

Child marriage is a phenomenon that affects the quality of household life, especially among young people who are still studying. Psychological immaturity is often the leading cause of conflict and disharmony in the household. This study aims to identify household harmony in child marriage in Dander District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study uses a descriptive design with a survey approach. The population consists of 27 families who had child marriages in 2022, with a sampling technique using saturated sampling. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed through editing, coding, scoring, and tabulation processes to determine the percentage. The results showed that more than half of the respondents (51.9%) had a level of household harmony classified as disharmonious. The main factors contributing to this disharmony are a lack of communication, unmanaged conflicts, and a lack of joint planning between couples. The conclusion of this study is that child marriage tends to result in household disharmony. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve communication between couples, healthy conflict management, and discussions to plan common goals both in the short and long term. These results are expected to be evaluation materials for the government and society to prevent child marriage through more effective education and regulation.

Abstract

The performance of nurses in delivering optimal nursing care is critical to achieving quality healthcare outcomes. Motivation and supervision are key factors influencing their effectiveness. Understanding the interplay between these elements provides valuable insights into improving nursing care quality, fostering professional growth, and enhancing patient satisfaction within healthcare settings. This study investigates the relationship between motivation and supervision with nurse performance in implementing nursing care. The method used a descriptive correlation design with a cross-sectional approach; data were collected from 50 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The respondent was Irma A. inpatient room located at Sungai Dareh Hospital. Motivation, supervision, and nurse performance were measured using questionnaires, and data were analysed with the Spearman Rank test. The results revealed that most nurses exhibited moderate motivation levels (92%) and were under moderate supervision (100%). A significant relationship was found between motivation and nurse performance (p = 0.009, r = 0.368) and between supervision and nurse performance (p = 0.000, r = 0.499). These findings highlight the critical role of motivation and supervision in enhancing nurse performance. Adequate motivation fosters enthusiasm and productivity, while effective supervision provides essential guidance and support to achieve optimal care standards. This study underscores the need for sustainable programs to enhance motivation and supervision quality, aiming to improve nurse performance and the overall quality of nursing care in health facilities. The study’s contribution to nursing management and performance enhancement is significant, and its suggestions for improving motivation and supervision are valuable for healthcare institutions.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of spiritual techniques, specifically the Qur'anic Emotional Freedom Technique (SQEFT), in reducing anxiety among chronic kidney failure patients undergoing haemodialysis. A quasi-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design was employed on 29 patients over 30 days, with sessions held twice weekly. Anxiety levels, assessed using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), showed a significant reduction after the intervention (p = 0.000). These findings suggest that SQEFT, as a spiritual technique, offers a promising non-pharmacological approach to managing anxiety in haemodialysis patients. Future studies are encouraged to explore its broader psychological benefits and long-term impact on patient well-being.

This study examines trends in self-efficacy research for individuals with hearing loss, focusing on academic contributions and interventions. Methods: A descriptive analysis of Scopus database articles was conducted, examining authorship, institutional contributions, subject areas, publication trends, and geographic research distribution. Results: The analysis reveals increasing academic interest in self-efficacy and hearing loss, with contributions spanning multiple disciplines. Key topics include communication strategies, social participation, and psychological adaptation. Developed countries contribute the most research, while developing regions show gaps. The study also identifies leading authors, institutions, and frequently cited sources in this field. Conclusion: This study provides a foundation for further research and practical applications to enhance self-efficacy in individuals with hearing loss. Addressing research gaps and promoting inclusive policies can improve social integration and overall quality of life.

Childbirth anxiety causes changes in a woman's mind during the third trimester. Prolonged worry can make it difficult for pregnant women to focus and cause them to lose confidence. Purpose: This study determines the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety levels of third-trimester primigravida pregnant women. Methods: This study used cross-sectional data and correlation analysis. The purposive sampling method selected 82 third-trimester pregnant women as the study population. The study sample included 57 third-trimester pregnant women per the inclusion criteria. This study used two questionnaires: the self-confidence scale and the Revised Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire (PRAQ-R2). The research results on self-efficacy obtained 63.2% with moderate self-efficacy, while anxiety levels obtained the majority with moderate anxiety at 49.1%. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank correlation test formula obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.645 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0, 05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship in the self-efficacy of third-trimester primigravida pregnant women with anxiety levels with a strong correlation coefficient.

Abstract

Introduction: The term "elderly" refers to a stage of human existence characterized by a decline in the body's capacity to respond to external stress and a failure to maintain body equilibrium in physiological stress situations. Patients who are elderly are more likely to suffer from sleep difficulties, including insomnia, which is one of the effects they experience. Insomnia is a sleep disorder defined by a lack of capacity to establish or sustain regular sleep schedules; symptoms usually appear within a week. Material and Methods: This research is a review of the existing literature. The topic, articles from 2018 to 2023, were chosen from various online databases, including Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The PRISMA approach was utilized by analyzing the literature review. Results: After sifting through 315 publications, only 16 studies were deemed suitable for analysis. The conclusion drawn from these studies is that PMT significantly decreases the prevalence of insomnia in the elderly. Conclusion: Progressive Muscle Relaxation has been shown in various studies to alleviate insomnia in the elderly.

Abstract

Introduction: Insomnia is a prevalent medical condition that impacts people across a lifetime. Diagnosis is established through self-reported symptoms including daytime disruptions and poor sleep quality, notwithstanding the provision of sufficient sleep opportunities and a conducive sleeping environment. Untreated insomnia is correlated with a variety of detrimental health consequences. The aim of the study was to analyze the role of progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to control insomnia. Material and Menthods: The research used is qualitative research, a review of the relevant literature constitutes this research. Themes-aligned articles from the years 2019 to 2024 were chosen, to comply with the prescribed research protocol, the investigators utilized the PRISMA method. Results: Nine articles were chosen from fifteen publications based on the search technique and selection criteria, and finding that PMR and CBT approach was helpful in assisting in the improvement of insomnia in elderly. Conclusion: Based on the conducted literature review, non-pharmacological treatments for addressing insomnia in older adults include progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions. Both of these approaches have demonstrated significant efficacy in managing insomnia in this population.
