Abstract

Geography learning for students still relies on conventional methods. Teachers provide explanations through lectures using a chalkboard, while students follow the content of textbooks during the learning process. This approach results in less effective, less engaging, and slower comprehension by students. Consequently, it affects their academic performance, necessitating the design of an attractive learning medium. This research aims to design a Geography learning medium for grade XII using the Kodular application based on Android. The design of this learning medium employs the waterfall method, which consists of software requirements analysis, software design, coding, testing, and maintenance stages. The learning medium was tested using the Black-box testing method, focusing on the application's functionality to ensure it meets the specified requirements. The results of the Black-box testing indicate that the learning medium is valid, with all buttons and pages functioning properly. The impact of this research can contribute positively to the development of relevant and effective learning media in the context of Geography education at the XII grade level

Abstract

Breast cancer, a heterogeneous disease, often metastasises, impacting prognosis. In Indonesia, adjuvant hormonal therapy (AHT) is the standard for hormone receptor-positive cancer, reducing recurrence and mortality. However, patients often face anxiety and depression during treatment. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are known to alleviate psychological stress. This study aims to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Adjuvant Hormonal Therapy with Emotional Freedom Technique (AH-EFT) module for breast cancer patients. A quantitative survey with a descriptive design assessed the content validity and reliability of the AH-EFT module. Six breast cancer care experts reviewed the module using a validity questionnaire and qualitative feedback. The result found that the content validity percentage reached 97%, with session suitability at 95%. The module’s reliability value was 0.934, indicating excellent consistency. The AH-EFT module is highly valid and reliable, making it suitable for guiding counselling and treatment for breast cancer patients in Indonesia and beyond.

Abstract

Stunting risks children's physical, mental, and cognitive development, leading to long-term impairments, significantly affecting their overall growth, learning abilities, and future potential. Online puzzle games allow children to practice concentration and hand-eye coordination through interactive challenges that stimulate children's creativity and memory. This study aims to assess the effect of educational online puzzle games on the development of preschool children with stunting symptoms. A pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach was used, involving 52 children aged 3-6 years diagnosed with stunting symptoms. The children's development was measured using the Denver II screening tool. Data were processed using editing, coding, scoring, and tabulation, followed by crosstab statistical analysis. The results showed that 50% of respondents had abnormal development before playing the online puzzle game, while 65.4% had normal development afterwards. A significant improvement was observed, as indicated by the rejection of H0, suggesting that online puzzle games positively affect the development of preschool children with stunting symptoms. The study concludes that online puzzle games can stimulate the development of children with stunting symptoms. It is recommended that families regularly provide educational games to enhance the development of children affected by stunting symptoms. Future research should consider larger sample sizes and explore the long-term effects of such interventions.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of spiritual techniques, specifically the Qur'anic Emotional Freedom Technique (SQEFT), in reducing anxiety among chronic kidney failure patients undergoing haemodialysis. A quasi-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design was employed on 29 patients over 30 days, with sessions held twice weekly. Anxiety levels, assessed using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), showed a significant reduction after the intervention (p = 0.000). These findings suggest that SQEFT, as a spiritual technique, offers a promising non-pharmacological approach to managing anxiety in haemodialysis patients. Future studies are encouraged to explore its broader psychological benefits and long-term impact on patient well-being.

Abstract

Worldwide, noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperuricemia, dyslipidemia, and hyperuricemia are the leading causes of death, including among immigrant communities who often have limited access to health services. Due to economic problems, legal status, and lack of information, Indonesian immigrants living in Malaysia are a vulnerable group who often neglect early detection of their diseases. The purpose of this community service program is to raise public awareness of the risks associated with NCDs and to detect them early through the measurement of blood pressure, blood sugar, total cholesterol, and uric acid levels. In Bukit Sungai Putih Lembah Jaya Utara, Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia, 120 immigrant residents underwent direct health screening and healthy lifestyle training. The results of the community service activity showed that 43.3% of participants had hypertension, 27.5% had above-normal blood sugar levels, 24.2% had hyperuricemia, and 44.2% had high total cholesterol levels. These findings indicate that NCD risk factors are prevalent among immigrants. It is evident that community-based screening helps detect health problems early and encourages broader health efforts. Therefore, to improve the overall health of immigrant residents, sustainable community-based interventions are essential

Abstract

While survival rates of breast cancer patients have improved thanks to advances in early detection and treatment, patients often experience anxiety, depression and stress, which can worsen their emotional and physical recovery. Objective: this study aimed to identify and analyze the relationship between mental health and quality of life of breast cancer patients through a systematic review of the literature. Methods: This study was a systematic literature review using the PRISMA approach including qualitative, longitudinal, prospective, and cross-sectional studies published between 2020-2025 in English, without interventions or comparisons, focusing on articles reporting these relationships. Results: Based on a comprehensive literature search, a total of 36,229 articles were initially identified using keywords from four major academic databases: Scopus (2,578), PubMed (683), Sage Journals (31,999), and Web of Science (969). After removing duplicates and screening based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 articles were selected for full-text review and final inclusion in the systematic review. Conclusions: These studies collectively revealed a consistent and significant relationship between mental health and quality of life (QoL) of breast cancer patients. Anxiety, depression, psychological inflexibility, and emotional distress were found to negatively impact QoL. This synthesis highlights the need for a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach in breast cancer care to support long-term survival.
