Abstract

Efektifitas media virtual laboratory terhadap kemampuan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA. Perkembangan zaman menuntut siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar yang dapat diperoleh melalui pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektifitas penggunaan media virtual laboratory terhadap kemampuan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan data penelitian diambil menggunakan instrumen tes dan kuesioner. Data tes dianalisis menggunakan N-Gain sedangkan data hasil kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan kategori skor. Media virtual laboratory dikatakan efektif jika skor N-Gain minimal termasuk kategori sedang dan skor kemandirian belajar siswa minimal termasuk kategori tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media virtual laboratory dapat meningkatkan skor kemampuan literasi sains siswa dalam kategori tinggi dan membuat skor kemandirian belajar siswa menjadi tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media virtual laboratory efektif untuk menanamkan kemampuan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan dalam konsep atau mata pelajaran lain untuk menananamkan kemampuan literasi sains dan kemandirian belajar pada siswa.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a crucial part of measuring the progress of an educational process. However, to improve scientific literacy skills, it is necessary to understand how scientific literacy can be developed in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of improving students' scientific literacy through an inquiry-based learning approach. Data were collected through library research from various sources, including books, journals, and previous research findings. The results indicate that inquiry-based learning is effective in improving students' scientific literacy. This study demonstrates that inquiry-based learning can help students become more engaged and active in the learning process. It can also improve their critical and analytical thinking skills. This study found that inquiry-based learning methods still provide significant benefits in improving students' scientific literacy, despite several constraints, such as the amount of time required and limited availability of tools. Group learning, the use of lecture techniques, discussions, and technology such as online learning platforms are some of the suggested solutions.

Abstract

Students often have difficulty understanding science concepts in depth because learning is still centered on lecturers. The project-based learning (PjBL) model is an approach that emphasizes the active involvement of students in completing tasks relevant to real-world contexts. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the PjBL model in improving students' understanding of science learning materials. The research method employed a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires with 36 students from the Tadris IPA Study Program in their fourth semester at UIN Madura. The results showed that the majority of students felt an increase in conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and collaborative skills after participating in project-based learning. These finding suggest that the PjBL model can be an effective alternative for enhancing the quality of science learning in higher education.

Abstract

AbstrakPenerapan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) dalam pertanian presisi menawarkan peluang signifikan untuk meningkatkan literasi ilmiah sekaligus efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem klasifikasi kebutuhan penyiraman tanaman berbasis data sensor IoT dengan algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM). Sistem dirancang menggunakan sensor suhu dan kelembapan (DHT11) serta sensor kelembapan tanah yang dihubungkan dengan mikrokontroler ESP8266. Data dikirim secara berkala ke platform digital dan dianalisis menggunakan metode pembelajaran mesin. Evaluasi kinerja dilakukan melalui metrik akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SVM dengan kernel Radial Basis Function (RBF) mampu mencapai akurasi hingga 97%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi IoT dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pertanian presisi.Kata kunci: IoT, klasifikasi, Support Vector Machine, machine learning, pertanian presisiAbstractThe application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in precision agriculture offers significant opportunities to improve scientific literacy and resource use efficiency. This study aims to develop a system for classifying plant watering needs based on IoT sensor data using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The system is designed using temperature and humidity sensors (DHT11) and soil moisture sensors connected to an ESP8266 microcontroller. Data is sent periodically to a digital platform and analyzed using machine learning methods. Performance evaluation was conducted using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results showed that SVM with Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel was able to achieve an accuracy of up to 97%. These findings prove that IoT integration can improve precision agriculture efficiency.Keywords: IoT, classification, Support Vector Machines, machine learning, precision agriculture

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Mini Eco-School Project in fostering environmental awareness and responsibility among students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Pamekasan. The research is motivated by the growing environmental issues that demand the active role of education in developing ecological awareness from an early age. This study employed a qualitative method with an exploratory case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over five weeks of project implementation, which involved activities such as cleanliness habituation, simple waste management, and school greening. The results indicate that before the project, students’ environmental awareness and behaviors were still low and situational. After the project implementation, there was a significant improvement in students’ awareness, responsibility, and intrinsic motivation to maintain school cleanliness. Students began to act proactively, reminding peers who littered, and applying environmental care habits at home. Teachers also observed that the project successfully cultivated ecological character through positive habituation, role modeling, and experiential learning. Thus, the Mini Eco-School Project proved to be an effective strategy for character education based on environmental values, not only enhancing cognitive understanding but also fostering affective and social dimensions of ecological awareness sustainably.
