Abstract

Agropolitan is one of the regional development concepts used to overcome urbanization caused by development inequality and regional equity. The development of the Pujon District Agropolitan Area is expected to reduce development inequality and poverty levels. This research aims to identify superior commodities, assess sustainability, and develop appropriate strategies for developing the Pujon District into a prosperous Agropolitan area. Quantitative data is used in the research method. Location Quotient (LQ), Multidimensional Scaling (MDS), and SWOT analysis were used to analyze the data. According to the LQ analysis findings, the Pujon District's primary commodities are garlic, potatoes, cauliflower, large chilies, and carrots. Data analysis using MDS on the ecological, economic, socio-cultural, infrastructure, and technology dimensions, as well as the legal and institutional dimensions, reveals that they are "fairly sustainable." According to the findings of the SWOT analysis, the primary key to the strategy for developing agropolitan areas is determining the competitiveness of only commodities so that the higher quality and competitiveness of commodities will encourage the formation of select commodity markets and the formation of dynamic trading activities (marked by high demand from various regions outside the Pujon). Keywords: agropolitan, multidimensional scalling, sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between vital statistics and body weight of fat-tailed sheep in Gucialit Village, Gucialit District, Lumajang Regency. This study used 72 fat-tailed sheep consisting of 36 male sheep and 36 female sheep. The sheep were grouped by sex and age into 6 groups, namely male sheep aged <12 months (PI0a), female sheep aged <12 months (PI0b), male sheep aged >12-18 months (PI1a), female sheep aged >12-18 months (PI1b), male sheep aged >18 months (PI2a) and female sheep aged >18 months (PI2b). The results showed that there was a positive correlation between chest circumference, shoulder height, and body length with body weight in all age and sex groups. Chest circumference had the strongest correlation with body weight in all age and sex groups. The highest correlation coefficient value between chest circumference and body weight was obtained in the PI2a group, which was 0.82, and the coefficient of determination (R²) was 68.1%. It can be concluded that chest circumference is the most suitable variable for estimating the body weight of fat-tailed sheep in Gucialit Village.

Abstract

Education is one of the most effective forms of media to give birth to a generation with views that can make diversity a part of unifying the nation. Islamic religious education has actually contained the discourse of multiculturalism, but at the level of implementation, it has not been implemented properly. Efforts are needed to redesign the Islamic religious education system based on multiculturalism so that Islamic religious education is more optimal in disseminating multicultural discourse to students. This research aims to formulate the model's implications for developing multicultural-based Islamic religious education at Samudra University, Langsa City, Aceh Province. The type of research used in this research is R&D/Research and Development. Data collection in this study was carried out through observations, interviews, and document searches. The results of the interviews showed that the methods used in learning at Unsam were lectures and discussions, and sources of material could be books, the internet, previous research, and relevant journals.  So far, Unsam students have good multicultural traits such as tolerance, cooperation, and not being picky in making friends, and these traits are reflected in their daily lives. The material in the RPS shows several materials related to multiculturalism, namely inter-religious harmony, Islamic democracy, civil society, and the welfare of the people, as well as Islam building unity and diversity. To increase the effectiveness of learning, the method that can be given is the brain-based learning method combined with lectures, discussions, or case studies. Another improvement that can be given is to improve the form of learning evaluation and provide training to lecturers to equalize perceptions related to multiculturalism. Materials on multiculturalism can be added with materials on preventing radicalism in students. Keywords: curriculum, education, multicultural, university
