Abstract

This research aims to compile a concept of a differentiated learning-based quantum learning model in classical guidance service to improve understanding of social media ethics. Social media use is now at an alarming threshold when looking at the consequences it has. This problem arises from social media, which often grabs public attention and even becomes a national issue and a hot discussion among everyone in Indonesia. So, guidance and counseling services, especially classical guidance services with a differentiated learning-based quantum learning model, are expected to increase students' understanding and prevent negative impacts due to social media. We used an integrative literature review to answer the research objectives. The data collection technique used by researchers is a documentation technique in which researchers trace material about the variables raised in the form of notes, articles, journals, proceedings, and other research results. The data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis. This technique is used to learn the nature of objects by describing books, texts, essays, articles, and all types of discourse that can be analyzed (reduction process, presentation, and conclusion). The implementation of quantum learning based on differentiated learning in classical guidance service to increase the understanding of social media ethics in students is carried out through 6 stages Among them are: 1) enroll; 2) experience; 3) label; 4) demonstrate; 5) review; and 6) celebrate. The findings of this research are expected to serve as recommendations for guidance teachers in implementing guidance and counseling services, particularly classical and group guidance services.

Abstract

Learning for slow-learners requires more specialized management and intervention than general students. Collaborative steps must be taken with teachers and parents to obtain comprehensive data and processes for the progress of slow-learner students. This best practice aims to: 1) Provide a realistic depiction of slow-learner students, especially in mathematics, 2) Present a report on the learning management process to the intervention given to slow-learner students in mathematics, and 3) Provide an overview of the collaboration of stakeholders at SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta. The subjects were grade VII slow-learner students in semester 2 of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method was qualitative descriptive. In general, learning management and interventions implemented by Special Guidance Teachers (GPK) and other teachers for slow-learners at SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta have been carried out in a structured manner. It requires the collaboration of various school stakeholders. The establishment of collaboration between GPK and school principals, subject teachers, parents, and BK teachers from the assessment to follow-up planning is a very positive collaborative step, developed gradually through task-oriented and person-oriented interpersonal communication. However, there are still communication constraints and time that still need to be evaluated and improved as a follow-up step for better intervention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ levels of empathy and develop as well as evaluate the effectiveness of an Augmented Reality (AR)–integrated digital simulation game as a group guidance medium to enhance empathic character. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodsing the ADDIE model, followed by an effectiveness test through a quasi-experimental design. A total of 208 students were initially screened, and 16 students with moderate empathy levels were selected and assigned equally to an experimental group and a control group. The empathy scale measured two key dimensions: cognitive empathy and emotional empathy. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA to assess empathy scores, while expert and practitioner evaluations were examined using the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) to determine the validity and consistency of the developed media. Descriptive findings showed an overall mean empathy score of 3.62 (SD = .55), with emotional empathy (M = 3.66) slightly higher than cognitive empathy (M = 3.58). The ANOVA test demonstrated a significant improvement in empathy after the intervention (F = 34.65; p = .000). These results indicate that the AR-based digital simulation game is effective in enhancing students’ empathy. The use of AR-integrated digital media in counseling services is recommended as an innovative approach to foster emotional understanding, social awareness, and empathic behavior among students.
