Abstract

This research aims to develop hyperlink-based learning media using Canva application on Asmaul Husna material for grade X students. This learning media is designed as an innovative solution that utilizes interactive features to increase student interest, understanding, and involvement in the learning process. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), although in this study only until the development stage. The validation results show that this media is very feasible to use, with a material expert eligibility score of 89.5%, and a media expert of 78.5%. So that the validation results obtained from the hyperlink feature on Canva on class X asmaul husna material can be used as one of the learning media that makes it easier for students to access various additional content such as videos and articles, thus creating a more dynamic and interactive learning experience.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the integration of technology into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction has become essential to enhance effectiveness and student interest, particularly as learners tend to become disengaged with conventional methods. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the interactive learning platform Kahoot in improving student learning outcomes in PAI at SMA Islam Nurul Ihsan Palangka Raya. The research method employed was quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 15 eleventh-grade social science students as subjects. Data were collected through learning outcome tests administered before and after the treatment and analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and paired sample t-test with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed a statistically significant improvement in learning scores (p = 0.457 > 0.05) after the use of Kahoot, indicating its effectiveness in enhancing motivation, engagement, and understanding of PAI material through an interactive, enjoyable, and competitive learning environment. The conclusion of this study is that digital tools like Kahoot are effective strategies for improving the quality of PAI instruction. The implications of these findings suggest that teachers and educational institutions should adopt innovative, technology-integrated teaching methods to address the challenges of modern education.

Abstract

Fenomena homeschooling di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan signifikan sebagai alternatif pendidikan, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi media massa terhadap praktik homeschooling berbasis nilai-nilai Islam melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitis dan analisis komparatif. Data dikumpulkan dari 20 artikel media massa nasional dan Islam yang terbit antara 2019–2025, dianalisis berdasarkan narasi, narasumber, tantangan, dan manfaat yang diangkat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas media Islam menampilkan narasi positif, menekankan integrasi nilai agama, fleksibilitas pembelajaran, dan kontrol orang tua, sementara media umum cenderung netral dengan fokus pada isu regulasi dan legalitas. Tantangan utama mencakup kurangnya regulasi, akses materi ajar Islami, serta stigma sosial, sedangkan manfaat yang menonjol antara lain penanaman nilai agama, adaptasi pembelajaran, dan dukungan emosional keluarga. Penelitian ini menegaskan peran strategis media dalam membentuk persepsi publik dan mendorong diskursus kritis terhadap pendidikan formal, serta menunjukkan bahwa homeschooling berbasis Islam berpotensi menjadi model pendidikan alternatif yang adaptif, spiritual, dan kontekstual.

Abstract

The ability to read the Quran in a proper and tajwid-compliant manner is an important foundation in Islamic education. One method that is widely applied in Indonesia to improve the quality of Quranic reading among students is the Tilawati method. This article is a literature review that aims to compile and analyze research findings related to the effectiveness and challenges in the implementation of the Tilawati method in various Islamic educational institutions. Through a qualitative approach and literature study technique, data were collected from scientific journals published over the last five years (2020–2025) that are relevant to the theme. The results indicate that the Tilawati method has high effectiveness in improving Quranic reading ability (85%), recognizing hijaiyah letters (6%), enhancing memorization (6%), and generally improving learning outcomes (3%). However, its implementation faces several obstacles, including low student motivation (40%), time limitations (20%), lack of facilities (20%), and insufficient teacher understanding of this method (20%). This study recommends the need for enhanced teacher training, provision of adequate facilities, and strategies to build student motivation in Quranic learning. With appropriate support, the Tilawati method can be an effective solution in sustainable Quranic literacy education.

Abstract

This community service initiative is grounded in the importance of strengthening literacy culture as a foundation for improving the quality of education in madrasah. The primary objective of the activity was to establish a pojok baca (reading corner) as a strategic facility to support literacy at MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. A participatory-collaborative method was employed, involving students, teachers, and learners throughout all stages—ranging from literacy needs assessment, planning, and implementation to evaluation. The reading corner was designed not only as a space for reading but also enhanced with religiously inspired motivational quotes to foster enthusiasm and reinforce the Islamic identity of the madrasah. The results indicated a positive response from students, reflected in increased reading enthusiasm and the emergence of a more conducive academic atmosphere. Collaboration among stakeholders further supported the sustainability of the program, demonstrating a significant impact on enhancing literacy culture and educational quality within the madrasah. The initiative concludes that simple innovations such as the reading corner can serve as an inspirational model for other educational institutions in building a sustainable and contextually relevant literacy ecosystem.
