Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of augmented reality-based discovery learning models on students' language skills. This type of research is quantitative research with a meta-analysis approach. The eligibility criteria are that the research is published from 2021-2024, SINTA or Scopus must index the research, the research must be an experimental method or quasi-experiment, the research must be open access, and the research data must be complete to calculate the effect size value. Tracing data sources include Google Scholar, ERIC, Taylor of Francis, IEEE and Scopus. The data collection technique is observation through databases. The data in this study was filtered using the PRISMA 2020 method. Data analysis in the study by calculating the effect size value of each survey with the JSAP 0.8.5 application. The analysis of 22 studies concluded that the augmented reality-based discovery learning model significantly influenced students' language skills with a value of d = 1,029 in the high effect size category. This finding positively influences teachers to apply this model to encourage students' language skills in Indonesian learning.

Abstract

Since its release in late 2022, ChatGPT has emerged as a notable phenomenon in academic writing and education, particularly within English language teaching. It has been widely adopted for drafting, editing, and evaluating academic texts. However, systematic mapping of its thematic evolution and development remains scarce. This study applies a bibliometric approach to examine the evolution and thematic trends of ChatGPT-related research in academic writing from 2022 to 2025. A total of 112 publications were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using VOSviewer to identify publication growth patterns, author and institutional collaborations, and the emergence of new research themes. The analysis revealed a sharp increase in publications between 2023 (n = 46) and 2024 (n = 52), with dominant research themes focusing on benefits, ethical concerns, and pedagogical integration of ChatGPT. Emerging topics, including the evaluation of AI in academic assessment, demonstrated accelerated attention in 2024 and early 2025. Geographical distribution analysis showed concentration in countries such as the United States, China, and the United Kingdom, indicating unequal global access to technology and research resources. This study offers the first comprehensive bibliometric mapping of ChatGPT research in academic writing, highlighting its thematic development and research gaps. The findings provide a strategic foundation for advancing future studies, guiding educational practices, and informing policy decisions. The results are expected to support the ethical and effective integration of generative AI into writing instruction, particularly in English language teaching.

Abstract

The study discusses the effect that technology can have on a student's reading behavior. Where students now a day spend a lot of time with cell phones. Rapid advances in telecommunications technology, media and information technologies and the widespread development of global information infrastructure transform learning and reading patterns into global paradigms. It was this paradigm that became dominant and effectively became involved in the revolution of information networks, which would later determine the future of national welfare. Technology, however, remains the initial hypothesis before research is carried out. In this method is use qualitative method. Study using qualitative method provided a comprehensive and clear picture of the social situations studied, comparative events from one social to another or from one time to another; or be able to find patterns of connections between certain aspects and others, and be able to find hypotheses and theories. In a study that described the work done by 12 respondents. Based on Moleong, the aim of the writer is to examine how the student's behavior, habits, and perceptions of how technology affects reading habits for them. The purpose of this study is to know whether technology has a major impact on student reading behavior. The results of this study indicate that technology had a positive impact on the interest in reading students, but most students prefer reading nonfiction rather than reading lessons. And technology can has a negative impact on the student as student interest is distracted and they are sedated with the modern technological sophistication of gadgets.

Abstract

The integration of social media into educational practices has emerged as a significant trend, influencing how students and educators interact with learning content. This bibliometric study investigates the growing body of research on social media as a learning tool, aiming to analyze publication trends, thematic focuses, and methodological approaches. Utilizing major academic databases such as SINTA and Google Scholar, the study reviews articles published over the past decade to map the landscape of social media in education. The analysis reveals a notable increase in research since 2020, with fluctuations in publication numbers indicating a dynamic and evolving field. Mixed-method approaches are prevalent, reflecting a comprehensive analysis of social media's impact. Research subjects primarily include students, with a strong focus on English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Data collection methods vary, with questionnaires being the most common instrument, although issues related to validity and reliability are noted. The findings highlight the broad applicability of social media in education, from enhancing engagement and communication to addressing challenges such as privacy and distraction. The study underscores the need for rigorous research practices and greater transparency in data collection to better understand and leverage social media's potential in educational settings. Overall, the study provides valuable insights into the current state of research on social media as a learning tool and offers recommendations for future research directions.
