Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. B Braun Pharmaceutical Indonesia, sebuah perusahaan farmasi yang memproduksi larutan infus, untuk meningkatkan efisiensi melalui pengendalian persediaan bahan baku. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengoptimalkan persediaan dan pemesanan petri dish 90mm 3Vent dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) guna meminimalkan total biaya. Penelitian menggunakan data primer dari wawancara dan observasi serta data sekunder dari perusahaan. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode EOQ dan POQ. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dengan metode EOQ, kuantitas pemesanan petri dish adalah 4.173 pcs dengan frekuensi pemesanan 6 kali per tahun dan total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 2.414.533,83. Sedangkan dengan metode POQ, kuantitas pemesanan adalah 1.909 pcs dengan frekuensi pemesanan 12 kali per tahun dan total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 3.267.297,87. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa metode EOQ lebih efisien dalam menurunkan biaya persediaan dibandingkan metode POQ, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keuntungan perusahaan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan desain kemasan keripik singkong dengan menggunakan metode kansei engineering, untuk meningkatkan kualitas kemasan yang masih sederhana. Proses evaluasi melibatkan 10 sampel desain dan 10 kata kansei yang dianalisis melalui kuesioner semantic differential. Data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan software RStudio dan dianalisis dengan metode Quantification Theory Type 1 (QTT1). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor utama yang mempengaruhi persepsi kansei responden terhadap desain kemasan meliputi bahan kertas (X1.2), ukuran besar (X2.2), dan desain simpel (X3.2). Desain akhir yang dihasilkan merupakan kombinasi dari kategori-kategori tersebut, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya tarik dan kualitas kemasan keripik singkong. Penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan desain kemasan lebih lanjut dan mengusulkan penggunaan metode kansei engineering dalam produk-produk lain untuk menyesuaikan desain dengan preferensi emosional konsumen. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of mental workload and work stress on employee performance in a retail setting, specifically at PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya, Tbk. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing questionnaires distributed to employees. The collected data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that mental workload significantly influences employee performance (p = 0.020), whereas work stress does not have a significant effect (p = 0.962). However, when examined simultaneously, both variables have a significant combined impact on performance (F = 10.216, p < 0.000). These results highlight the importance of managing mental workload to enhance employee productivity while ensuring that work stress is controlled to prevent adverse effects on performance. To optimize workforce efficiency, organizations should implement strategies for workload distribution and structured stress management programs. This study provides valuable insights for companies in the retail sector, emphasizing the need for balanced work demands and employee well-being to maintain high performance levels.Keywords: Mental Workload, Work Stress, Employee Performance, Retail Industry, Work Environment

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a crucial skill for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners, particularly in the context of standardized language proficiency assessments. This study examines the test-taking challenges encountered by 30 non-English major university students during their initial experience with the EnglishScore reading test, an adaptive, mobile-based English assessment developed by the British Council. Employing a qualitative descriptive research design, the study collected data through open-ended reflections and analyzed them using a thematic analysis approach. Researchers identified five main categories of difficulty: (1) time pressure, (2) vocabulary limitation, (3) text complexity, (4) translation and interpretation challenges, and (5) test unfamiliarity and strategic disorientation. The findings indicate that learners experienced difficulties that were multidimensional and mutually reinforcing, as linguistic, cognitive, and procedural gaps converged to impede their performance. Limited vocabulary knowledge and dependence on literal translation strategies negatively impacted comprehension. Additionally, stringent time constraints and unfamiliar digital formats exacerbated anxiety and cognitive overload. These findings emphasize the need for comprehensive reading instruction that encompasses vocabulary development, strategic reading skills, and practice with simulated testing—particularly for EFL learners who are unfamiliar with high-stakes, time-restricted digital assessments. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on mobile-based reading assessment and highlights important implications for curriculum designers, educators, and test developers.
