Abstract

Kata kunci: Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2, kualitas hidup, self-care management, tingkat spiritual Diabetes Mellitus Type II (DMT2) is a chronic disease that can be suffered throughout life. The instruments used were spiritual level questionnaire sheets (DSES), self-care management (DSMQ), and quality of life (WHOQOLBREF). Data analysis used the rank-Spearman statistical test with a p-value < 0.005. Results: the results showed that most of the respondents (60.0%) had a moderate spiritual level, most of the self-care management was sufficient (57.1%) and almost all of the respondents had a high quality of life (37.1%). The results of the Spearman Rank test of the spiritual level and quality of life obtained a p-value of 0.002, and self-care management and quality of life obtained a p-value of 0.005 which means that there is a relationship between the spiritual level and self-care management with the quality of life of diabetes mellitus sufferers. Conclusion: DMT2 patients are expected to increase their spiritual level and self-care management to achieve a good quality of life. Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a period of growth that is very vulnerable to stress. This is due to the relatively high demands on adolescents, both in the field of education and daily life. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of the validity and reliability tests of the Adolescents' Knowledge about Stress and Depression Questionnaire (AKSDQ). Methods: This study used a descriptive analysis research design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was carried out in August 2023 at Senior High School Darul Ulum 3 Peterongan Jombang. The instrument used in this study was the Adolescents' Knowledge about Stress and Depression Questionnaire (AKSDQ). This questionnaire consists of 10 items with 7 items in the form of positive statements and 3 items in the form of negative statements. This questionnaire uses the true and false statement method. Data analysis was carried out in this study using SPSS 21. The data analysis presented is the mean, standard deviation, Item-Content Validity Index (I-CVI), and Kuder-Richardson. Result: Based on the research results, it was found that the Adolescents' Knowledge about Stress and Depression Questionnaire (AKSDQ) had a good enough reliability value marked by a KR-20 value of .601. In addition, the results of the validity test using the Item-Content Validity Index (I-CVI) method showed that the Mean I-CVI is 0.90. Conclusion: The results of this study indicated that the Adolescents' Knowledge about Stress and Depression Questionnaire (AKSDQ) can be used in a study to assess the level of knowledge of adolescents related to stress and depression.

Abstract

Background: Mean arterial pressure (MAP) in the context of hypertension was important in understanding the impact of high blood pressure on the elderly. Several pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies are expected to help reduce MAP values in the elderly with hypertension. Soursop leaf tea, rich in antioxidants and potassium, is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving soursop leaf tea on reducing MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) values in elderly people with hypertension in Simongagrok Village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Methods: This study used a Pre-Experiment design using the (One-Group Pretest-Posttest) approach. In this study, a population of 19 elderly people in Simongagrok Village was obtained with a sample size of 15 respondents using the Quota Sampling technique. The instruments in this study were a blood pressure meter, observation sheets, and soursop leaf tea. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: The results of the study before being given treatment showed that 13 respondents (86.7%) experienced hypertension in the category of Mild MAP Value. After being given treatment, 15 respondents experienced hypertension in the category of Normal MAP Value with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, a significant value was obtained, namely p ≤ ???? 0.05, namely 0.001 <0.05, which means that ????1 is accepted, so there is an effect of giving soursop leaf tea on reducing MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) values in elderly people with hypertension in Simongagrok Village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Conclusion: Giving soursop leaf tea is expected to be one of the independent therapies for nurses in providing non-pharmacological therapy in reducing MAP values in elderly people with hypertension.

Abstract

Background: The Emergency Department (IGD) is a vital unit in a hospital that provides first aid to emergency patients. The application of the Early Warning System (EWS) in the emergency room triage process is very crucial as a parameter for monitoring and early detection of critical conditions. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between emergency room triage using EWS score and nurse response time in handling emergency patients at Abdhi Famili Banyuwangi Hospital. Methods: This research employed a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population and sample consisted of all nurses working in the Emergency Room of Abdhi Famili Banyuwangi Hospital, totaling 30 participants, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using observational instruments. Results: The results showed that of the 18 respondents with low EWS scores, the majority (13 people or 72.2%) had a fast response time. The analysis using the Spearman Rank test yielded a value of p = 0.047 (< α = 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.365. A p-value of less than 0.05 showed a significant relationship between emergency room triage using EWS scores and nurses' response time in handling emergency patients. However, a correlation coefficient value of 0.365 indicates that the relationship falls into the low category. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship, although in the low category, between emergency room triage using EWS scores and nurses' response time in handling emergency patients at Abdhi Famili Banyuwangi Hospital.
