Data analysis was performed with the Shapiro-Wilk test and paired sample t-test. The results were obtained :  (1) From 30 samples, there were 26 respondents with insufficient ASI production and 4 respondents who had sufficient ASI production. (2) from 30 respondents there were 7 respondents with insufficient ASI production and 23 respondents who had enough ASI production. (3) there is a significant influence between oxytocin massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers in the working area of the Public Health Center in Cikeusik, Pandeglang district. It is expected that the puskesmas will be able to increase public knowledge and insight, especially on how to increase the amount of milk production in postpartum mothers by conducting counseling about oxytocin massage in increasing the amount of milk production.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Anemia is a global health problem that is quite common, including in Indonesia. This condition is characterized by a decrease in hemoglobin levels in the blood, resulting in a lack of oxygen in the body. Anemia is often associated with various factors such as iron, vitamin B12, or folate deficiency. Research Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of dragon fruit juice consumption on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia Research Methods: This cross-sectional study involved all pregnant women in the Juli 2023 (n=10). Hemoglobin levels before and after dragon fruit juice consumption were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests. Research Results: The results showed a significant increase in hemoglobin levels after consuming dragon fruit juice. This indicates that regular consumption of dragon fruit juice has the potential to be an intervention for anemia in pregnant women. Conclusion: This study provides preliminary evidence that dragon fruit juice can be an effective alternative to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women . However, further research with a stronger design and a larger sample size is needed to confirm these findings.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a major cause of increased maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. The prevalence of preeclampsia cases in developing countries is seven times higher than in developed countries. which is around 1.8%-18%. Preeclampsia tends to increase and become a medical complication in pregnancy and childbirth. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between risk factors for complications of severe preeclampsia in terms of maternal age, parity, gestational age and comorbidities. The method used in this research is quantitative with a case control design. The study sample size was 366 respondents using the total sampling technique. The results showed that there was a relationship between gestational age and complications of severe preeclampsia (α <0.05). However, there was no relationship between maternal age, parity, and comorbidities with complications of severe preeclampsia (α > 0.05). It is recommended for every health service in Lebak Regency, especially RSUD dr. Adjidarmo to be able to hold annual evaluations with type 1 health service partners in treating emergency patients.

Abstract

The high maternal mortality rate can be caused by anemia during pregnancy, one contributing factor being irregular Antenatal Care (ANC) visits. This study aims to examine the relationship between the regularity of ANC visits and the risk of anemia in pregnant women at M. Thaha Public Health Center, South Bengkulu. This research employed an analytic survey with a case-control design. Data were obtained from secondary sources with a total sample of 48 respondents. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test, Contingency Coefficient (C), and Odds Ratio (OR). The univariate analysis showed that 20 pregnant women had irregular ANC visits and 24 experienced anemia. The bivariate analysis revealed a moderate relationship between ANC visit regularity and the risk of anemia, with an OR value of 4.2. This indicates that pregnant women with irregular ANC visits are 4.2 times more likely to develop anemia compared to those with regular visits. It is recommended that the health center improve maternal health services by enhancing access to maternal posyandu services and conducting regular hemoglobin (Hb) examinations to detect and control anemia at an early stage.
