Abstract

Teachers have a big role in developing and improving students' mathematical logical intelligence skills. However, teachers only focus on using package books in teaching in the classroom. As a result, students do not show a great attitude of enthusiasm, students struggle and are unable to think logically, creatively and innovatively in developing skills when doing math problems. Therefore, researchers are interested in creating a pocket book based on Mathematical Puzzles (TTM) class XI. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of the pocketbook. This research is a research and development or R&D with a 4-D to 3-D model. The results of this study are the calculation value of V Aiken on the validation data of material experts of 0.903 and media experts of 0.8 are classified as feasible to use. Then the results of the calculation of V Aiken student response data of 0.932 and teacher response data of 0.894 are classified as very practical to use during learning. While the calculation of the t-Paired test in the pretest and posttest results obtained the value ,t-count.=6.1807, there is an increase in the mathematical logical intelligence of students so that the book is categorized as very effective. It can be concluded that the pocketbook based on class XI mathematical puzzles can improve the mathematical logical intelligence ability of class XI students.

Abstract

Abstrak. Seringkali peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan minat dan bakat mereka. Dalam masalah tersebut, biasanya guru atau konselor akan memberikan bimbingan ataupun konseling kepada anak didiknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana prinsip serta layanan bimbingan dan konseling di SD Muhammadiyah 01 Medan, mengetahui sebenarnya bimbingan konseling yang diterapkan kepada siswa dan prinsip-prinsip yang digunakan dari bimbingan konseling tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif. Adapun alat untuk mengumpulkan data dilakukan dengan wawancara terhadap salah satu guru bidang kesiswaan di SD Muhammadiyah 01 Medan. Penelitian ini dibuktikan dengan adanya beberapa hasil dan pembahasan mengenai prinsip layanan bimbingan konseling di SD Muhammadiyah 01 Medan, yaitu 1). Bagaimana layanan bimbingan dan konseling berjalan dengan baik tanpa adanya guru BK, 2). Seberapa penting guru BK diterapkan disekolah tersebut, dan 3). Bagaimana prinsip bimbingan konseling yang sudah diterapkan di sekolah tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan, yaitu bimbingan yang diberikan dapat membantu siswa menjadi lebih baik, seperti datang sekolah tepat waktu, memakai pakaian yang rapi dan dapat membantu siswa mengatasi masalah yang sedang dihadapinya. Dilihat juga dari penelitian yang dilakukan, bahwa adanya guru bimbingan konseling di tingkat sekolah dasar sangat dibutuhkan. Kata Kunci. Analisis; Prinsip; Layanan; Bimbingan Konseling   Abstract. Often students have difficulty in finding their interests and talents. In this case, usually the teacher or counselor will provide guidance or counseling to their students. This study aims to find out how the principles and services of guidance and counseling at Muhammadiyah 01 Medan Elementary School, know the actual counseling guidance applied to students and the principles used from the counseling guidance. The research method used is qualitative research methods. The tool for collecting data was done by interviewing one of the teachers in the field of student affairs at Muhammadiyah 01 Elementary School Medan. This research is evidenced by the existence of several results and discussions regarding the principles of counseling guidance services at Muhammadiyah 01 Elementary School Medan, namely 1). How does the guidance and counseling service run well without a BK teacher, 2). How important is the guidance and counseling teacher applied in the school, and 3). How the principles of counseling guidance have been applied in the school. Based on the results of the study, several conclusions can be drawn, namely the guidance provided can help students become better, such as coming to school on time, wearing neat clothes and can help students overcome the problems they are facing. It is also seen from the research conducted, that the existence of counseling guidance teachers at the elementary school level is very much needed. Keywords. Abstract

Pascasarjana UMN Al Washliyah merupakan program studi lanjut yang bertujuan menghasilkan lulusan berkualitas, berdaya saing tinggi, dan berkarakter Islami. Program ini menawarkan empat program studi: Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, Pendidikan Matematika, Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, dan Hukum, dengan akreditasi "Baik Sekali". Salah satu komponen penting dalam program ini adalah Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL), yang bertujuan mengembangkan kemampuan intelektual, emosional, dan sosial mahasiswa melalui pengabdian kepada masyarakat. KKL dirancang sebagai kegiatan pembelajaran lapangan yang mendukung penguasaan materi akademik sekaligus membangun karakter mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan KKL diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi, empati, dan pengelolaan kelas mahasiswa. Kendala utama yang dihadapi selama KKL meliputi pengelolaan waktu, perbedaan karakteristik mahasiswa, dan tingkat antusiasme mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Beberapa upaya dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, seperti penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi dan pendekatan personal terhadap mahasiswa yang memerlukan perhatian khusus. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berhasil memperoleh pengalaman nyata dalam mengajar, menyusun Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS), mengelola kelas, serta mengevaluasi proses dan hasil pembelajaran. Selain Pascasarjana UMN Al Washliyah, Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Budidaya Binjai juga memiliki komitmen tinggi terhadap kualitas pendidikan. STKIP Budidaya menawarkan berbagai program studi dengan dukungan fasilitas yang memadai serta dosen profesional dan berdedikasi tinggi. Fasilitas seperti laboratorium, perpustakaan, dan beasiswa turut mendukung proses pembelajaran yang optimal. Secara keseluruhan, baik Pascasarjana UMN Al Washliyah maupun STKIP Budidaya Binjai berupaya mencetak lulusan berkualitas tinggi yang mampu bersaing di tingkat nasional dan internasional. Melalui kegiatan seperti KKL, diharapkan mahasiswa tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan akademis tetapi juga kemampuan praktis dalam menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze junior high school students' mathematical proof abilities in Pythagoras' theorem in terms of resilience and cognitive style. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consist of six eighth-grade students selected based on high, moderate, and low categories in the mathematical proof ability test, as well as considering resilience levels (high, moderate, low) and cognitive styles (field independent). Data collection techniques include a mathematical proof ability test, a resilience questionnaire, a GEFT cognitive style test, and interviews. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that students with high resilience and field-independent cognitive styles have good mathematical proof abilities, are able to construct arguments logically and systematically, and are not easily discouraged when solving problems. Students with moderate resilience and field-dependent cognitive styles demonstrated adequate proof abilities but tended to require guidance and were less independent in their thinking. Meanwhile, students with low resilience and field-dependent cognitive styles had low proof abilities, tended to be confused in constructing arguments, and easily gave up when faced with difficulties. This study shows that students' mathematical proof abilities are influenced by a combination of resilience and cognitive style. Therefore, teachers need to consider both affective and cognitive factors in the mathematics learning process to optimize students' mathematical thinking abilities, particularly in the aspect of proof
