Abstract

Dalam ilmu filsafat ada tiga cabang ilmu yang membahas berbagai aspek dasar pengetahuan manusia, yaitu; Ontologi, Epistemologi, dan Aksiologi. Ontologi ialah mempelajari realitas dan keberadaan. Epistemologi ialah mempelajarai tentang sumber, sifat, serta batasan pengetahuan. Aksiologi ialah mempelajari tentang nilai, moral, estetika, dan sosial. Dalam  kajian epistimologi ada 3 sumber dalam pengungkapan dalil, yaitu bayani dengan pengungkapan dalil menggunakan teks dari nas maupun selain nas. Burhani yaitu pengungkapan dalil menggunakan logika atau akal. Irfani pengungkapan dalil menggunakan nurani atau hati. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan tulisan yang mengarah pada pembahasan artikel ini. Hasil dari penulisan ini bahwa Epistemologi Bayani merujuk pada pendekatan pengetahuan yang berbasis pada wahyu dan teks-teks agama. Dalam epistemologi ini, pengetahuan dianggap sah dan benar jika berasal dari sumber agama yang diakui. Penafsiran terhadap teks-teks ini dilakukan secara literal dan mengacu pada ajaran tradisional yang sudah mapan dalam dunia Islam. Epistemologi Burhani berfokus pada pengetahuan yang diperoleh melalui akal dan rasio. Pendekatan ini menekankan pentingnya penalaran logis dan argumentasi rasional untuk membuktikan kebenaran, dan tidak bergantung pada wahyu atau tradisi. Epistemologi Burhani mendorong pemikiran kritis dan terbuka, serta mengintegrasikan ilmu pengetahuan dengan keyakinan, melalui rasional dan progresif.

Abstract

Understanding ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīths has remained a critical methodological discourse in both classical and contemporary Islamic studies. Two major hermeneutical approaches—textual and contextual—are central to this discourse. The textual approach emphasizes a literalist reading of the ḥadīth text in order to preserve the authenticity and sanctity of the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings. In contrast, the contextual approach considers the socio-historical and cultural background in which a ḥadīth was transmitted, thereby enabling its normative messages to remain relevant to contemporary realities. This article addresses the methodological question of how these two interpretative approaches can be integrated to respond to the dynamic challenges of modern Muslim life.This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method using a library research model. The primary sources include both classical ḥadīth compilations and contemporary scholarly literature. Selected ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīths that are often debated between textualist and contextualist interpretations are analyzed to demonstrate the theoretical implications of both approaches. Findings indicate that the textual and contextual approaches are not inherently contradictory but rather complementary. The textual method safeguards the transmissional integrity (riwāyah) of the ḥadīth, while the contextual approach ensures that its meanings (dirāyah) can be appropriately situated within evolving socio-cultural frameworks. The integration of both provides a more balanced and comprehensive understanding of Prophetic traditions. In conclusion, a synthesis between textual fidelity and contextual relevance is essential to interpret ḥadīths holistically. This integrative framework is proposed as a viable model for contemporary ḥadīth interpretation that is both normatively authentic and socially responsive.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has a strategic role in shaping students' religious character. However, the mismatch between learning methods and students' learning styles often becomes an obstacle in improving their understanding. This study aims to analyze the effect of visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles on students' understanding of PAI subjects at MAN 2 and SD Negeri 53 Banda Aceh. This study used a mixed method approach with a sequential explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that visual learning styles dominated in MAN 2 schools as much as 45%, and SD 53 as much as 50% and produced the highest understanding when students were assisted by image, video, and infographic media. Auditorial students in MAN 2 as much as 30%, and SD 53 as much as 27.5% better understand the material through lectures, discussions, and religious audio. Meanwhile, kinesthetic students in MAN 2 (25%) and SD 53 (22.5%) showed significant improvement during practice-based learning such as worship simulations and other motor activities. This research confirms the importance of an inclusive learning approach, by adapting teaching strategies to the diversity of students' learning styles to improve their understanding holistically. In addition, the results can serve as a reference in the preparation of differentiation-based teaching tools and the development of teacher training to be more responsive to the learning characteristics of learners at various levels of education.

Abstract

Islamic religious education in Madrasah Aliyah plays an important role in shaping students' understanding of Islamic law, including the material of Mawaris. However, Mawaris learning is often considered difficult because of its theoretical nature and the lack of an applicable approach. This study aims to develop a Mawaris material module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) that can be used as a learning medium in Madrasah Aliyah. This module is designed to improve students' understanding of the Mawaris concept through an approach that focuses on problem solving. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study indicate that MAN 1 Nagan Raya needs a Mawaris learning module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve the quality of learning. The needs analysis revealed that the school does not yet have an interactive and relevant module, so learning tends to be theoretical. Teachers feel that PBL-based modules are very necessary to deliver material effectively and applicable, while students want a more practical approach to facilitate understanding. PBL-based modules are expected to be able to connect theory with real-life practices, improve critical thinking skills, and help students understand the concept of inheritance law better.

Abstract

This study examines the stages of religious development in school-aged children (6-18 years) from an Islamic perspective, focusing on the role of education, environment, parents, and teachers. The main argument of the study states that each age phase has different spiritual characteristics: elementary school age (6-12 years) is concrete with the habit of worship, junior high school age (13-15 years) is marked by the search for religious identity through reflection on values, and high school age (16–18 years) leads to the internalization of values into religious attitudes. The study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods, collecting data from primary sources (exegesis, hadith, developmental psychology) and secondary sources (journals, books, policy documents). Findings indicate that the emotional bond between children and their parents and teachers significantly influences the reinforcement of religious values, particularly in instilling moral values, worship, and role modeling. Evidence suggests that students' spiritual crises often stem from weak religious upbringing from an early age. This study recommends strengthening school-home collaboration, integrating spiritual values into a holistic curriculum, and age-specific approaches. In conclusion, children's religious development requires synergy between parental role modeling, teachers' contextual teaching methods, and a conducive environment. This study contributes to the development of an Islamic education model that balances cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

The phenomenon of negative behavior among students (santri) in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), such as bullying, violence against teachers, and promiscuity, has become an increasing concern in Islamic education. Pesantren, traditionally regarded as institutions of moral and spiritual development, are now facing complex psychosocial challenges among their students. This study aims to analyze the psychological and social factors that underlie deviant behaviors among santri. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive method using a case study approach in several pesantren across Indonesia. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and caretakers, as well as document analysis. The findings reveal that negative behaviors are influenced by family background, peer group dynamics, weak supervision, and the lack of psychological-based educational approaches within pesantren. Violence against teachers often stems from imbalanced power relations, while promiscuity arises from exposure to social media and inadequate value-based control. In conclusion, a holistic educational approach grounded in psychology and Islamic values needs to be strengthened to address these issues both preventively and rehabilitatively.

Abstract

Productive waqf is one of the key instruments in the Islamic economic system with great potential to achieve the economic independence of the Muslim community. This study aims to analyze the role of productive waqf innovation in building the pillars of Islamic economic empowerment through paradigm transformation, digital technology application, and the development of Sharia-based business models. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected from literature reviews, institutional reports, and previous related studies. The results show that technological innovation, such as Islamic financial technology (fintech) and digital waqf platforms, significantly enhances transparency, efficiency, and public participation in waqf management. Moreover, the integration of waqf with social investment and Islamic social enterprise provides new opportunities to generate sustainable economic value. Productive waqf serves not only as an act of worship but also as a fair wealth redistribution mechanism and a means of empowering the community’s economy. Therefore, the success of productive waqf management depends on professional governance, adaptive regulations, and strong collaboration among governments, Islamic financial institutions, and society. This study concludes that productive waqf holds strategic potential in realizing economic independence and collective welfare for the Muslim ummah in the modern era.
