Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of resilience and the influencing factors among employees at the Competency Assessment Unit of the Regional Civil Service Agency in dealing with high workloads. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and literature review. Five informants were selected using purposive sampling, based on the criteria of having experienced or currently experiencing high workloads and their willingness to participate in the study. Thematic analysis was used to explore aspects of resilience reflected in the informants' experiences under work-related pressure. The findings indicate that analytical thinking is the most dominant aspect of resilience, as it significantly assists employees in formulating work strategies when facing demanding situations. Additionally, emotional regulation, self-efficacy, optimism, and goal orientation also play crucial roles in strengthening psychological endurance. Although impulse control and empathy were less dominant, both aspects still contribute meaningfully to maintaining healthy workplace relationships and fostering a supportive work environment. This resilience is shaped by professional experience, intrinsic motivation such as a sense of responsibility, personal satisfaction, and dedication to one’s work and is further reinforced by social support and a positive organizational culture. These findings highlight that strengthening resilience is a vital psychological strategy, not only for enhancing individual endurance but also for improving work performance and employee well-being in a comprehensive manner.

This study aims to describe the boredom experienced by civil servants (ASN) during the CAT potential test held in Srondol during the month of Ramadan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and interviews with nine participants. The findings revealed that most respondents experienced a high level of boredom triggered by time pressure, complex questions, technical issues, and physical fatigue due to fasting. This boredom significantly affected their concentration and cognitive performance during the test. The results highlight the importance of optimizing technical execution, psychological support, and test environment management, especially during special conditions such as the Ramadhan period.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing children’s reading interest in Pidodo Kulon Village. A qualitative approach was employed using semi-structured interviews and observations, involving 11 informants consisting of teachers, the principal, village officials, parents, and elementary school students. The findings reveal that children’s low reading interest is shaped by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include low learning motivation, the absence of early reading habits, and a greater attraction to gadgets than books. External factors consist of parenting patterns of parents working abroad, limited family support in fostering literacy, insufficient access to reading materials, and school curricula that have not fully promoted literacy development. The revitalization of the village Reading Corner has become a positive initial step to address this issue, although further development of more diverse and age-appropriate book collections is still needed. This study emphasizes that improving children’s reading interest requires active collaboration between families, schools, and the community to create a supportive and sustainable literacy environment.
