Abstract

Research with the title "The personality of the main character in the short story Menantu Atau Pembantu by Tiana Amelia: Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalysis Study". This study aims to describe the personality of the main character in the short story Menantu Atau Pembantu by Tiana Amelia with story facts as the basis for analysing id, ego, superego in Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis. The theory used in solving this research problem uses Robert Stanton's story fact theory and Sigmund Freud's personality theory. This type of research uses library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data in the research is text in the form of sentence quotations sourced from the short story Menantu Atau Pembantu by Tiana Amelia. The data collection technique uses the reading and note-taking method. The data analysis technique uses the hermeneutic method with analysis steps through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that through the facts of the story in the short story, there is a forward plot that describes the personality of the main character with other characters who support the course of the story. The personality of the character described is also motivated by time, place, and socio-cultural background. The results of the analysis of the personality structure according to Sigmund Freud on the main character named Jesi describe the form of id or Jesi's desire is very large, including the desire to have a mother-in-law who is kind and affectionate to her and does not live in one house with her mother-in-law, but the whole id is not all realised by the ego because it can be controlled by the superego. Among the three personality structures, the superego aspect dominates Jesi. Superego is able to postpone the fulfilment of all aspects of id with reality into the achievement of id fulfilment in morality. Abstract

This research discusses the existence of the sanad in hadith narration and its role in maintaining the authenticity of hadith in Islam. authenticity of hadith in Islam. Using a qualitative method based on library qualitative method based on library research, this study collected data from hadith books, books, articles, journals, and various hadith applications and websites. The data were classified and analysed using academic platforms such as Google Scholar, Publish or Perish, Sage Journal, and Dimensions, and data analysis applications such as Scispace, Dimensions, and VosViewer to identify thematic linkages in previous studies. in previous studies. The results showed that the sanad is a fundamental element in the science of hadith that serves as a verification tool of the verification tool of the validity of a narration. The sanad is classified based on the continuity of the narration, the quality of the narrators, and the number of narrators in each level. The scholars use the i't?b?r sanad method to test the authenticity of the hadith by comparing the various transmission routes. by comparing the various lines of transmission to ensure that there are no weaknesses that could reduce the credibility of the hadith. weaknesses that may reduce the credibility of the hadith. In addition to the classical methods such as Rijalul Hadith, Jarh wa Ta'dil, and talaqqi, modern Muslim scholars have also developed new approaches. modern Muslim scholars have also developed new approaches, such as the digitisation of hadith digitisation of hadith manuscripts, utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI), as well as academic research to maintain the authenticity of the sanad. Despite facing challenges such as the spread of false traditions and distortion of transmission, the combination of traditional methods and modern technology allowed the validity of the hadith to be maintained. With Thus, this study confirms that the sanad serves not only as a historical verification tool, but also as the main instrument in maintaining the purity of Islamic teachings sourced from purity of Islamic teachings that originated from the Prophet Muhammad.

Abstract

This article describes how to understand hadith textually and contextually, approaches that each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Getting stuck on one of these approaches will reduce the important aspects of each approach. Issues in society often touch on religious aspects, including the use of religious symbols as justification for the truth. Hadith is the second source in Islam, so it is imperative to examine every aspect of it. In understanding a hadith, researchers are inevitably caught up in several approaches, including textual and contextual. These two approaches have recently become a source of conflict in society. To examine this phenomenon, the author uses a qualitative method with anthropological theory in a contextual approach. The results of this study show that the contextual approach is more convincing in its application in the public sphere because this approach does not reduce the human aspects in approaching a hadith, which is in fact theological in nature. With an understanding of humans and their problems, alternative solutions can be sought to analyze current social issues, thereby bridging the various problems faced by humans. Interpreting hadiths with a contextual approach in the present day, when society has become more advanced, as has its artistic creativity, which has also been used as a form of creative economy that provides opportunities.

Abstract

Tafsir al-Bayḍāwī is widely regarded by scholars as one of the most significant forms of ahammu al-tafsīr bi al-ra’y (the most prominent interpretation based on rational inquiry). This assertion appears to contrast with al-Bayḍāwī’s own acknowledgment in the preface of his work, where he mentions referencing various authoritative sources from the ṣaḥābah (Companions) and al-ṣāliḥūn (the righteous predecessors). Against this backdrop, this study aims to critically examine the interpretative sources employed by al-Bayḍāwī in his commentary on QS. al-Baqarah: 30–32. The focus of the study is directed toward several key questions: What types of interpretative sources does al-Bayḍāwī utilize? How stark is the compositional contrast between āthār (traditions) and ra’y (reason) in Tafsir al-Bayḍāwī? Furthermore, how accurate is the application of these interpretative sources? The methodology employed in this study is the critique of interpretative sources (naqd manābi‘ al-tafsīr), referencing the approach proposed by ‘Abd al-Salām bin Ṣāliḥ bin Sulaimān in his work, Naqd al-Ṣaḥābah wa al-Tābi‘īn li al-Tafsīr. The findings indicate that al-Bayḍāwī utilizes a diverse range of interpretative sources, with a predominance of linguistic approaches (tafsīr lughawī). More specifically, it was found that in the interpretation of QS. al-Baqarah: 30–32, al-Bayḍāwī employs nine expressions derived from āthār and nine others from ra’y. These findings confirm that the designation of Tafsir al-Bayḍāwī as ahammu al-tafsīr bi al-ra’y is not merely an assumption but is academically demonstrable. Although some references are considered less ṣaḥīḥ (authentic) or less relevant when evaluated against the riwāyah (tradition-based) approach practiced by the Prophet and the ṣaḥābah, al-Bayḍāwī generally demonstrates a proportional integration between āthār and ra’y in his exegetical construction. Tafsir al-Bayḍāwī secara luas dinilai oleh para ulama sebagai salah satu bentuk ahammu al-tafsīr bi al-ra’y (tafsir ra’yi yang paling penting). Pernyataan ini tampak kontras dengan pengakuan al-Bayḍāwī sendiri di awal karyanya, di mana ia menyebutkan telah merujuk pada berbagai sumber otoritatif dari kalangan para ṣaḥābah dan al-ṣāliḥūn. Berdasarkan latar inilah, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara kritis sumber-sumber penafsiran yang digunakan al-Baidhāwī dalam menafsirkan QS. al-Baqarah: 30–32. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada Bagaimana jenis sumber Penafsiran yang digunakan Al-Baidhawi?, Seberapa kontras komposisi antara atsar dan raʾy dalam tafsir Al-baidhawy?, serta bagaimana ketepatan penggunaan sumber-sumber tafsir ini?. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah kritik sumber tafsir (naqd manābi‘ al-tafsīr), dengan merujuk pada pendekatan yang ditawarkan oleh ‘Abd al-Salām bin Ṣāliḥ bin Sulaimān dalam karyanya Naqd al-Ṣaḥābah wa al-Tābi‘īn li al-Tafsīr. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa al-Bayḍāwī memanfaatkan ragam sumber tafsir, dengan dominasi pendekatan kebahasaan (tafsīr lughawī). Secara lebih spesifik, ditemukan bahwa dalam penafsiran terhadap QS. al-Baqarah: 30–32, al-Bayḍāwī menggunakan sembilan ungkapan yang bersumber dari āṯār (riwayat) dan sembilan lainnya dari ra’y (nalar independen). Temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa penyematan gelar ahammu al-tafsīr bi al-ra’y pada Tafsir al-Bayḍāwī bukanlah asumsi belaka, melainkan dapat dibuktikan secara akademik. Meski terdapat sebagian rujukan yang dinilai kurang ṣaḥīḥ atau kurang relevan apabila dikembalikan pada pendekatan tafsir riwāyah sebagaimana praktik Nabi dan para ṣaḥābah, namun secara umum al-Bayḍāwī menunjukkan integrasi yang proporsional antara āṯār dan ra’y dalam konstruksi tafsirnya.
