Abstract

Kuliah kerja nyata (KKN) adalah bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh mahasiswa dengan pendekatan lintas keilmuan dan sektoral pada waktu dan daerah tertentu. Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi di Indonesia telah mewajibkan setiap perguruan tinggi untuk melaksanakan KKN sebagai kegiatan intrakurikuler yang memadukan tridarma perguruan tinggi. Program Pengabdian Institut Agama Islam Darussalam Martapura angkatan 2019 tahun 2023 bertempat diberbagai wilayah kabupaten Banjar termasuk Desa Simpang Tiga Mataraman.  Kegiatan KKN ini dimulai dari tanggal 1 Mei sampai dengan 30 Juni 2023. Dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian selama 2 bulan, terbentuklah lima program yaitu memakmurkan masjid, mengajar membaca al-quran, kegiatan maulid dan burdah, pembinaan generasi muda, pengembangan ekonomi UMKM. Hasil dari program KKN ini diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat desa Simpang Tiga Mataraman dengan program pendampingan bidang keagamaan dan pengembangan ekonomi UMKM.

Abstract

This study presents an in-depth review of the concept of Life-Long Education within the framework of the Hadith (sayings and actions) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, emphasizing that this idea is not an imported concept but a theological obligation and a solid philosophical foundation within Islam. Although education is often misunderstood as a formal process that ceases upon graduation, the Hadith unequivocally establishes thalabul ‘ilmi (seeking knowledge) as fardhu 'ain (an individual obligation) whose execution transcends age limits, continuing persistently “from the cradle to the grave.” The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive literature review focusing on the thematic analysis of the Hadith, supported by relevant academic literature from the last ten years. The analysis is focused on the meaningful interpretation of key Ahadith (plural of Hadith) concerning thalabul ‘ilmi, tarbiyah (character development), and al-ilm an-nafi’ (beneficial knowledge). The findings of this study indicate that the Hadith provides a holistic framework that successfully integrates intellectual competence and moral integrity, where tarbiyah and the formation of insan kamil (the perfect human being) are the main objectives of the continuous education process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for students to understand the scientific structure of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) within the national curriculum and its relevance to character formation. PAI is understood as a subject that not only transfers religious knowledge but also internalizes Islamic values in daily life. The scientific structure of PAI encompasses four main branches: Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed and Morals), Fiqih (Islamic Jurisprudence), Al-Qur’an Hadith, and Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (Islamic Cultural History/ICH). These branches are designed in an integrated manner to develop the students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach through the analysis of curriculum documents, textbooks, and academic journals. The results show that PAI material in Junior High Schools (SMP/MTs) focuses on the basic introduction to faith, worship, and morals, while in Senior High Schools (SMA/MA), it is directed more toward deepening, critical analysis, and the application of religious values in the context of modern life. These findings affirm that the scientific structure of PAI plays a strategic role in creating a religious generation with noble morals who are capable of facing the dynamics of modern life.
