Abstract

The issue of Childfree has gone viral recently, especially after several cyber influencers such as YouTube, Twitter, Instagram revealed that their families had decided not to have children. Childfree itself is a decision made by a married couple not to have children. Indonesia as a country that believes in God makes religion a source of reference for behavior, one of which is in starting a family and having children. The role of religion is certainly very important in efforts to see the problems that occur and take the right solutions so that Childfree can be addressed wisely. This research aims to look at the views of the younger generation towards Childfree and the role of Islam in efforts to prevent the younger generation from being Childfree. Because the condition of the nation in the future will be determined by today's young generation. The research method chosen is a qualitative method using observation, interviews, documentation studies so that you will get in-depth results including the reasons for each research subject. The first pre-field stage, namely preparing a plan, selecting a field, preparing instruments. The second stage is data collection, and the third stage is data processing which consists of data display, analysis, drawing conclusions, and narrating the results. The results of this research showed that 82.35% of the research sample knew about Childfree from the internet, social media and other digital media. There was one sample who was affected by Childfree because they were worried about difficulties in taking care of children, especially due to busyness and economic factors, so they chose to postpone or not even have children. However, the majority of the sample still wants to have children after marriage. The role of religion is very important for all samples because they still remember advice from their teacher/lecture that said "lots of children, lots of luck", so the majority admitted that they still wanted to have children after marriage. In conclusion, there is a view among today's young generation that having children can make their lives difficult, so they choose to postpone and don't want to have children. Even though the number is still a minority/small. Religious views are very important in supporting good understanding for the younger generation.

Abstract

Kualitas pelayanan Posyandu sangat penting bagi kesehatan masyarakat, terutama dalam mencegah kekurangan gizi pada balita. Posyandu Sejahtera RW 03, Kelurahan Beji Timur memiliki 43 balita yang secara rutin dipantau tumbuh kembangnya, namun keterbatasan pencatatan manual menghambat efektivitas layanan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan timbangan balita berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang terintegrasi dengan aplikasi Android untuk pencatatan data secara digital, sehingga memudahkan kader Posyandu dalam pemantauan pertumbuhan balita secara real-time. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah kader Posyandu Sejahtera, yang terdiri dari 9 orang dengan latar belakang pemahaman teknologi yang beragam. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari (1) persiapan, meliputi survei lokasi dan diskusi dengan mitra; (2) perancangan dan pembuatan perangkat IoT menggunakan sensor Load Cell dan HX711 untuk mengukur berat badan, serta sensor Ping Parallax untuk tinggi badan; (3) pelatihan kader Posyandu dalam penggunaan alat dan aplikasi Android; (4) implementasi dan simulasi penggunaan alat, serta (5) evaluasi efektivitas program melalui survei kepuasan mitra. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan kader dalam menggunakan sistem digital, dengan 88,9% peserta merasa sangat puas, serta 100% peserta menyatakan bersedia bekerja sama dalam program lanjutan. Selain itu, sistem yang diterapkan memungkinkan pencatatan data yang lebih akurat dan mudah diakses, mengurangi risiko kehilangan data, serta mempercepat pengambilan keputusan dalam pemantauan gizi balita. Digitalisasi pencatatan gizi berbasis IoT dapat meningkatkan efisiensi layanan Posyandu serta mendukung kader dalam memberikan intervensi lebih cepat terhadap masalah gizi balita.

Abstract

Higher education is not only aimed at transferring knowledge, but also at forming strong characters in students. Islamic religious education in higher education can be a strong foundation in developing students' characters. Good character is an important aspect in preparing students to face the challenges of life in the future, both professionally and personally. Therefore, research on the development of student character based on Islamic religious education is very relevant. This study aims to develop an effective Islamic Religious Education (PAI) model in building student character in higher education and to assess the effectiveness of the model in practice. In addition, this study also provides recommendations for the development of more effective Islamic religious education. The research methodology involves the development of an educational model based on Islamic religious principles through a participatory approach, followed by the implementation of the model in several higher education institutions. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews with students and lecturers, and observations of PAI activities. The results of the study showed that the developed model succeeded in improving several aspects of student character, including integrity, responsibility, and empathy. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the model indicated a significant increase in student character development that was in line with Islamic values. Recommendations for further development include deeper integration of Islamic principles in the curriculum, training for lecturers, and ongoing evaluation to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the model. This research is expected to provide significant contributions to efforts to develop student character through Islamic religious education in higher education.

Abstract

Electricity costs in boarding rooms are often unfairly distributed because each room is charged the same amount, even though electricity usage varies. To solve this problem, a system was created to monitor each room's power usage more efficiently using Long Range (LoRa) technology. This system uses an ESP32 microcontroller, a PZEM-004T sensor, and LoRa, programmed with Arduino IDE. The sensor collects power usage data and sends it to the boarding house owner over the LoRa network, with accuracy close to 99% in three tests. The data is transmitted up to 150 meters with an RSSI of -107 dBm in non-line-of-sight (NONLOS) conditions and up to 600 meters with an RSSI of -111 dBm in line-of-sight (LOS) conditions. It is also connected to an Android app for easier power management and monitoring.
