Abstract

Burns is defined as type of injury to skin and cause the loss of barriers to fight infection. If not treated properly, burns can belife-threatening. Longan seeds, olive oil and beeswax, which have potential to help the healing process of burns. To know theeffect of ointment mixture of longan seeds, olive oil and beeswax to healing burns in white male wistar rats. This research isan experimental posttest-only control-group design with a total sampling of 15 rats, and divided into two groups; givenointment (S) and without ointment (TS). Data will be analyzed by T-Independent and Mann-Whitney test. Average of thereduction diameter (S=2.64%,TS=8.28%), percentage of healings (S=88.62%, TS=65.42%), and time of healing (S=16days,TS=23 days). The analysis of the data obtained ρ=0.00. There are significant differences in the reduction in burnsdiameter, percentage of burns healing and time of burns healing in two groups. Group S have a better healing effect onburns than group TS.

Abstract

The wound is a break in the continuity (continuity) of the tissue followed by a part of the tissue structure. If not treated properly, cuts can be life-threatening. This research purpose To know the comperation of effectiveness senduduk leaf healing time on male white wistar rats. this research is an experimental posttest-only control-group design with a total sampling of 20 rats, and divided into four groups;negative control, betadine, 10 gr of senduduk leaves and 15 gr of senduduk leaves. Data will be analyzed by Kruskal Wallis and Mann-Whitney test. The resulth of this research are Average healing time (tp=11,80 betadin=10,60 p1=9,90 p2=8,50). Data analysis obtained significant results (p <0.05), namely between the negative control group with betadin, negative control group with 10 gr of senduduk leaves, negative control group with 15 gr of senduduk leaves, betadin group with 15 gr of senduduk leaves. Meanwhile the other groups obtained insignificant results (p>0.05).

Abstract

Hypertension is still one of the deadliest diseases in Indonesia. According to the Minister of Health, hypertension is the number 3 cause of death after stroke and tuberculosis, which reached 6.7%. Diuretics are drugs that increase the flow rate of urine, but also function to increase the speed of excretion of sodium (natriuresis) and amnion that come out with urine. This study used a posttest with a control group design. Rats were divided into 4 groups with group 1 with Aquadest, group 2 with 30 mg Furosemide, group 3 with papaya leaf extract I dose 60 mg and dose II papaya leaf extract 90 mg. Data will be analyzed by Kruskal-wallis and post Hoc Mann-Whitney. The result of this research There was a relationship between administration of papaya leaf extract with a diuretic effect in white Wistar rats, with the Kruskal-wallis test p values <0.05.

Abstract

Hyperlipidemia is often a cause of life-threatening cardiovascular disease. Pare fruit has antioxidants which are thought to have properties in reducing cholesterol levels. To determine the potential of bitter melon juice (Momordica charantia L.) in reducing triglyceride levels in Wistar rats induced by high-fat diet. The research method true Experiment with a pretest – posttest with control group design using 24 Wistar rats fed a high-fat diet and divided into 4 groups: negative control, positive control, group 1 (1.8 mL bitter melon juice) and group 2 (2.7 mL bitter gourd juice). The data analysis that will be used is the Paired T Test. The result of this research are triglyceride levels were found to significantly decrease with 1.8 mL of bitter melon juice (p<0.003) and 2.7 mL of bitter melon juice (p<0.001). Bitter gourd juice (Momordica charantia L.) is effective in reducing triglyceride levels in Wistar rats induced by high fat diet.
