Abstract

Menjadi seorang guru bukanlah hal yang mudah, untuk memastikan tujuan pembelajaran sampai kepada siswa tentu kita harus memiliki berbagai macam strategi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir siswa, termasuk berpikir kritis, analitis, dan kreatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah library research, di mana berbagai literatur akademis dan studi empiris terkait strategi pembelajaran dianalisis untuk mendapatkan wawasan tentang pendekatan yang paling relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, seperti pembelajaran berbasis proyek, diskusi kelompok, dan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif, dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir siswa secara signifikan. Hal ini terjadi karena metode tersebut mendorong siswa untuk berpikir lebih mendalam, memecahkan masalah secara mandiri, serta berkolaborasi dalam memahami konsep-konsep yang kompleks. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa institusi pendidikan yang menerapkan strategi-strategi tersebut dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir siswa secara lebih efektif, yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan kinerja akademik dan kesiapan mereka menghadapi tantangan dunia nyata.

Abstract

The implementation of story-based learning techniques also presents challenges, particularly related to teacher skills in conveying stories engagingly and effectively, as well as time management during the learning process. Teachers need to possess strong storytelling skills and master classroom management methods so that students can actively participate without losing focus on learning objectives. Therefore, teacher training and competency development are crucial for optimizing story-based learning techniques and maximizing their benefits in improving learning outcomes. Considering the various advantages and potential of story-based learning, this technique can be an effective solution to overcome student boredom with conventional learning methods that tend to be monotonous, such as lectures or memorization. This approach can create a dynamic and enjoyable classroom atmosphere, while also building students' character and communication skills holistically. Therefore, the development and implementation of story-based learning techniques need to be continuously encouraged at all levels of education as an effort to improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of muhadhoroh activities in improving public speaking of students. Muhadhoroh activities are mandatory extracurricular activities that must be followed by all students of the Modern Adlaniyah Islamic Boarding School. In the implementation of this muhadhoroh activity, of course, there are obstacles and constraints in its implementation. Especially for students who are an important aspect for the Islamic Boarding School, they must have a series of problems in implementing this muhadhoroh activity. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the implementation of muhadhoroh activities in improving public speaking of students at the Modern Adlaniyah Islamic Boarding School, West Pasaman? Which is limited to muhadhoroh activities, muhadhoroh activity programs, implementation of muhadhoroh activities, driving and inhibiting factors of muhadhoroh activities at the Modern Adlaniyah Islamic Boarding School, West Pasaman. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to collect data from various respondents who participated in this study such as, the head of student care, student mentors, and students of the Modern Adlaniyah Islamic Boarding School, West Pasaman. This data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis with a focus on the implementation of muhadhoroh activities in improving public speaking of students at the Adlaniyah Modern Islamic Boarding School, West Pasaman. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of muhadhoroh activities at the Adlaniyah Modern Islamic Boarding School, West Pasaman has been carried out, although there are still obstacles in the implementation of muhadhoroh activities, both in terms of student abilities, facilities and learning resources, inadequate facilities and infrastructure.
