Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the increase in learning achievement by applying the recitation learning method in Indonesian language subjects for class III at SD Negeri 2 Toto Harjo. This is caused by the low learning achievement of students in Indonesian language subjects for class III at SD Negeri 2 Toto Harjo, which is caused by the lack of use of media or methods in the learning process. The research employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two sessions. The study involves 16 third grade students as participants. Data is gathered through observation sheets, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate that in the pretest, 37.5% of students achieved proficiency, and this increased by 12% in the subsequent assessment. The learning achievement level in the first cycle reached 50%. In the second cycle, there was a significant improvement of 33.3%, with a proficiency rate of 81.25%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the recitation method effectively enhances the learning outcomes of third grade students in Indonesian language at SD Negeri 2 Toto Harjo. Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has encouraged the use of mobile devices as a medium for disseminating information, including in the religious field [10]. Today's society requires fast, practical, and easy-to-use access to religious information through Android-based smartphones [6]. This study aims to develop a shortcut-based Android application as a medium for religious information by utilizing the AppsGeyser platform [7]. The development method used includes needs analysis, application design, implementation, and functional testing of the application using a Research and Development (R&D) approach [3]. The results of the study indicate that the Android shortcut application is able to present religious information effectively, is easily accessible, and is lightweight to use without requiring high device specifications.

Abstract

Reading ability is a fundamental skill that must be mastered by elementary school students, especially in the early grades. However, based on observations conducted in Grade I of UPTD SDN 2 Tegal Gondo, many students still experience difficulties in reading letters, vocabulary, and simple sentences. One of the causes is the use of less engaging teaching methods and the lack of supporting learning media. This study aims to improve the reading ability of Grade I students through the use of picture media in Indonesian language learning. This study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 14 Grade I students of UPTD SDN 2 Tegal Gondo. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests (pre-test and post-test), and documentation. The indicators of reading ability measured included reading vowel letters, reading vocabulary, reading simple sentences, and reading with correct pronunciation and intonation. The test analysis results showed that in Cycle I, the average reading ability of students reached 52.75% and had not yet met the success indicator set at 80%. After improvements were made in Cycle II, the analysis results showed an average increase to 88.25%. This 35.5% improvement indicates that the use of picture media is effective in enhancing students’ reading ability.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Tegal Ombo in Indonesian language subjects. Based on preliminary observations, the learning process was still dominated by lecture methods, causing students to be less active and their learning outcomes did not reach the Minimum Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP) set at 75. This study aimed to improve students' learning outcomes through the use of audio-visual media. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 15 students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed an improvement in students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, learning completeness was 40% with an average score of 59.69. In cycle I, it increased to 60%, and in cycle II, it reached 80%. Thus, the use of audio-visual media can improve students' learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning at SD Negeri 2 Tegal Ombo. Keywords: learning outcomes, audio-visual media, Indonesian language ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Tegal Ombo pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, pembelajaran masih didominasi metode ceramah sehingga siswa kurang aktif dan hasil belajar belum mencapai Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) yang ditetapkan yaitu 75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penggunaan media audio-visual. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yang masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Pada pra-siklus, ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 40% dengan nilai rata-rata 59,69. Pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 60%, dan pada siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 80%. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media audio-visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Tegal Ombo pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.
