Abstract

Abstract As part of community service, the Faculty of Psychology Education, State University of Jakarta (UNJ) implemented a community service program in Pasir Tanjung Village, Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency. This program aims to improve achievement motivation of Islamic Boarding School students through Achievement Motivation Training (AMT). Based on initial observations, it was found that achievement motivation among students was still low. AMT training, developed by McClelland in 1960, aims to increase an individual's internal drive to achieve success. This program includes goal setting, use of feedback, increased personal responsibility, and curiosity about new situations. In addition to helping with learning success, AMT is also useful in facing life's challenges and achieving goals. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the program was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measured by NGain Score which will look over the impact of this training. The result is that AMT can reduce Boarding School Syndrome which is often experienced by boarding school students, analyzed with N-Gain (0.58) and effectiveness of 58.46% indicates a significant decrease in boarding school syndrome. Abstrak Sebagai bagian dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat, Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) melaksanakan program pengabdian di Desa Pasir Tanjung, Kecamatan Tanjungsari, Kabupaten Bogor. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi santri Pondok Pesantren melalui pelatihan Achievement Motivation Training (AMT). Berdasarkan observasi awal, ditemukan bahwa motivasi berprestasi di kalangan santri masih rendah. Pelatihan AMT yang dikembangkan oleh McClelland pada tahun 1960, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan dorongan internal individu dalam mencapai kesuksesan. Program ini mencakup penetapan tujuan, penggunaan umpan balik, peningkatan tanggung jawab pribadi, dan rasa ingin tahu terhadap situasi baru. Selain membantu dalam keberhasilan belajar, AMT juga bermanfaat dalam menghadapi tantangan hidup dan mencapai cita-cita. Evaluasi efektivitas program dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur dampak dari pelatihan ini. Hasilnya, Pelatihan AMT dapat mengurangi Boarding School Syndrome yang sering dialami oleh santri, dimana pada perlakuan ini dianalisis menggunakan N-Gain (0,58) dan efeketivitas sebesar 58,46% yang menunjukkan penurunan signifikan pada Boarding Schoole Syndrome yang dialami oleh santri.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the contribution of reality counseling in overcoming the behavior of misfit individuals in adolescence. The focus of this study is to analyze the extent to which the reality counseling approach can assist adolescents in changing their behavior in a more positive and adaptive direction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results showed that reality counseling contributed to improving adolescents' self-awareness, emotion management, interpersonal skills, and responsibility for their actions. In addition, this approach helps adolescents build healthier social relationships, increase academic motivation, and develop the ability to overcome challenges independently. The relevance of reality counseling to the underlying theory is reflected in the application of the principles of behavior evaluation and concrete step planning through the WDEP framework. This process not only helps adolescents achieve short-term changes but also provides skills and mindsets that support their future development.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools has brought positive impacts on learning approaches, one of which is the emphasis on independent learning. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by students in optimizing independent learning in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research method used is descriptive, with data collected through interviews and documentation. The findings indicate that students face difficulties in learning independently. Factors such as social background, cognitive abilities, and the presence of students with special needs (SEN) influence the effectiveness of independent learning. SDN Kuin Cerucuk 1 has 22 students with special needs who are supported by five specialized teachers. This assistance is a positive step in ensuring they continue to receive equal access to education. Regular students also face challenges, such as being reluctant to communicate their learning difficulties. Factors that can enhance the effectiveness of independent learning include the school’s efforts in providing guidance and the involvement of parents in the learning process. The lack of material review at home and minimal parental support also contribute to students’ slow understanding of lessons taught in class.

Abstract

Increasing air pollution, especially in urban areas, is a serious issue that has a negative impact on public health and the environment. Accurate prediction of air pollution levels is critical to supporting mitigation efforts and data-driven decision-making. This study aims to develop an air pollution prediction model using the Simpson Integration method, a numerical approach used to calculate integrals with a high degree of accuracy. The data used included concentrations of pollutants such as PM2.5, PM10, and NO2 taken from daily measurements for one year. This method utilizes an interpolation algorithm to model changes in pollutant concentrations as a function of time. Simpson integration is used to calculate the area under the daily pollutant curve that represents the accumulated exposure to air pollution. The results show that this method is able to provide accurate predictions with an average error rate of less than 5% compared to actual data. This model has advantages in computational efficiency over conventional methods such as simple linear regression analysis. These findings prove that Simpson Integration can be effectively applied in air quality prediction and provide important information for governments and the public. This system is expected to support the development of an air pollution early warning system to increase public awareness and help formulate more responsive environmental policies.

Abstract

Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam proses pembelajaran, termasuk di Indonesia. Pemanfaatan AI dalam pendidikan menawarkan berbagai manfaat, seperti efisiensi waktu, pembelajaran yang lebih personal, serta kemudahan dalam memahami materi. Namun, di sisi lain, penggunaan AI juga menimbulkan sejumlah kekhawatiran, seperti potensi ketergantungan, penurunan kreativitas, dan kemalasan berpikir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pelajar Indonesia terhadap penggunan AI dalam proses pembelajaran serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi dukungan terhadap penerapan AI di bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 100 responden yang mayoritas merupakan mahasiswa berusia 18–23 tahun. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi dan analisis jalur (path analysis) untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel persepsi positif dan negatif AI terhadap dukungan penggunaan AI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki persepsi positif terhadap AI, khususnya dalam membantu belajar dan menghemat waktu. Namun demikian, kekhawatiran terhadap dampak negatif AI terbukti memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap dukungan penggunaan AI. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam merumuskan strategi pemanfaatan AI secara bijak dan efektif dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia.

Abstract

Permasalahan pengelolaan sampah di Desa Soco, Kecamatan Jogorogo, Kabupaten Ngawi ditandai oleh ketiadaan Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) tingkat desa, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat, serta praktik pembakaran terbuka yang berdampak pada kualitas lingkungan dan kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan dan mengevaluasi efektivitas TPA alternatif berbasis teknologi Rocket Stove sebagai solusi pengelolaan sampah ramah lingkungan yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan pelaku UMKM. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan partisipatif, melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan warga dan pelaku UMKM, serta pemantauan kondisi lingkungan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Program dilaksanakan melalui pembangunan Rocket Stove, penyediaan fasilitas tempat sampah di area UMKM, serta edukasi pemilahan dan pengelolaan sampah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya penurunan volume sampah berserakan di sekitar UMKM dari rata-rata 5 kg/hari menjadi 3 kg/hari, berkurangnya praktik pembakaran terbuka, serta meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam membuang dan mengelola sampah secara lebih bertanggung jawab. Selain dampak teknis, kegiatan ini memperkuat kolaborasi antara mahasiswa, perangkat desa, dan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Inovasi TPA berbasis Rocket Stove terbukti berpotensi sebagai model teknologi tepat guna yang aplikatif, berkelanjutan, dan dapat direplikasi pada wilayah pedesaan dengan karakteristik serupa.   Waste management problems in Soco Village, Jogorogo District, Ngawi Regency are characterized by the absence of a village-level landfill, low community awareness, and the widespread practice of open burning, which negatively affects environmental quality and public health. This community service program aimed to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of an alternative landfill based on Rocket Stove technology as an environmentally friendly waste management solution involving active participation from the community and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). A qualitative descriptive method with a participatory approach was employed, using field observations, interviews with residents and MSME actors, and environmental condition monitoring before and after the intervention. The program consisted of constructing a Rocket Stove facility, providing waste bins in MSME areas, and conducting education on waste segregation and management. The results showed a reduction in scattered waste around MSME locations from an average of 5 kg/day to 3 kg/day, a decrease in open burning practices, and improved community awareness regarding responsible waste disposal and management. Beyond technical outcomes, the program strengthened collaboration among students, village authorities, and local residents in environmental management efforts. The Rocket Stove–based alternative landfill demonstrates strong potential as an appropriate, sustainable, and replicable technology model for waste management in rural areas with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan kegiatan akademik yang berfungsi sebagai sarana penerapan ilmu sekaligus penguatan kapasitas sosial mahasiswa di masyarakat. Kegiatan ini memiliki potensi strategis dalam membangun dialektika antara pengetahuan teoritis dan praktik sosial melalui proses pemberdayaan masyarakat desa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran KKN sebagai media dialektika pengetahuan dan praktik sosial dalam mendukung pembangunan berbasis pemberdayaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan KKN di beberapa desa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KKN merupakan ruang transformasi sosial dan intelektual, di mana mahasiswa berperan sebagai agen perubahan yang memfasilitasi transfer ilmu kepada masyarakat. Proses interaksi menghasilkan peningkatan kapasitas lokal, kemandirian, dan kesadaran kritis terhadap potensi desa. Dengan demikian, KKN berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai kegiatan pengabdian, tetapi juga sebagai media pembelajaran reflektif yang mengintegrasikan pengetahuan akademik dengan praktik sosial secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Class imbalances in multiclass classifications are an important challenge in applied machine learning, particularly in the medical field such as predicting how patients will exit. Although various studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of resampling techniques, the best combination of classification algorithms and balancing methods for highly unbalanced multiclass hospital data is still rarely studied. This study aims to compare the performance of Random Forest (RF) and Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLR) algorithms in dealing with class imbalances using three resampling techniques: Random Oversampling (ROS), Random Undersampling (RUS), and Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE). The dataset used included 1,032 inpatients with Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM) at Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi, for the period January 2021 to December 2023. Data pre-processing includes coding, normalization, and data sharing by stratified sampling (80:20). Feature selection was conducted using Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE), and model evaluation was conducted with 5-fold cross-validation using accuracy, recall, F1-score, and MCC metrics. The results showed that the combination of RF and ROS provided the best performance with an accuracy of 93.65%, F1-macro of 0.935, and a balanced accuracy of 0.95. This combination has been shown to be able to recognize minority classes well without sacrificing overall accuracy. In contrast, the MLR model shows the lowest performance, especially when using RUSs that cause the loss of important data. Although SMOTE is showing competitive results, it remains below ROS in this context. This study was limited to structured clinical data and only compared two types of classification models. In the future, deep learning-based approaches or advanced ensembles can be explored. The novelty of this study lies in the thorough evaluation of the combination of balancing techniques and classical classification algorithms for medical predictions with extremely unbalanced multiclass data.

Abstract

Humor merupakan instrumen komunikasi sosial yang kuat, namun batas antara komedi dan penghinaan sering kali menjadi kabur dalam praktik sehari-hari. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi fenomena normalisasi candaan kebencian ( perkataan kebencian yang disamarkan sebagai humor ) di masyarakat. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, artikel ini menganalisis dampak psikologis dan sosiologis dari humor yang mempengaruhi kelompok tertentu. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa normalisasi candaan kebencian berkontribusi pada desensitisasi moral dan memperkuat stigma sosial. Kesimpulan utama menekankan bahwa humor yang sehat harus menjunjung tinggi martabat manusia tanpa harus mengorbankan integritas pihak lain.

Abstract

Health surveillance is an essential activity within the healthcare service system to monitor disease occurrences and to serve as a basis for health program decision-making. This study aims to describe the implementation of health surveillance at a community health center (puskesmas) using an interview-based approach. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through in-depth interviews with surveillance officers. The findings indicate that health surveillance activities have been conducted routinely and are integrated with the Ministry of Health information system; however, several challenges remain, particularly related to limited human resources and delays in reporting from service networks. Surveillance data are utilized as a basis for the formulation of disease control programs, thereby playing an important role in health intervention planning. The study concludes that the surveillance system has been implemented fairly well, but further strengthening is needed in terms of human resources and coordination with service networks.
