Abstract

Latar Belakang: Asma mengakibatkan berkurangnya pasokan oksigen  karena induksi kontraksi otot polos, penebalan dinding jalan napas serta terdapatnya sekresi. Penyakit asma masih menjadi masalah kesehatan hampir semua negara  dunia, asma dapat  terjadi pada anak atau dewasa mulai derajat ringan sampai berat, pada beberapa kasus dapat menyebabkan kematian. Indonesia asma masuk sepuluh besar penyebab morbiditas dan mortalitas.Metode: Desain penelitian adalah Clasical Experimental Design, uji statistic dengan uji Wilcoxon. Instrument penelitian berupa rublik tentang Pulsed Lips Breathing Axersice. Sampel sebanyak 20, 10 intervensi dan 10 kontrol.Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian,  Respirasi Rate (RR) nilai p-value 0,002, untuk Hate Rate (HR) nilai p-value 0,000. Berarti Respirasi Rate (RR) dan Hate Rate (HR) Ha diterima.Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan antara Pulsed Lips Breathing Axercise terhadap efektifitas pengontolan pernapasan pada penderita asma yaitu Respirasi Rate (RR) maupun Hate Rate (HR).  Puskesmas dan masyarakat harus  mengimplementasikan Pulsed Lips Breathing Axercise kepada penderita asma dengan cara pemberian penyuluhan kesehatan, supaya  menstabilkan Respirasi Rate (RR) dan Hate Rate (HR).

Abstract

Playing a vital role in EFL education, teachers often encounter challenges when teaching students English. This study focuses on exploring challenges faced by EFL teachers in Indonesia. The study was conducted through qualitative research design with a case study approach. A total of 5 male and female EFL teachers in senior high schools in North Sulawesi participated in interview sessions during the data collection. A semi-structured interview was conducted to obtain comprehensive descriptions of teachers’ challenges in teaching English in EFL context. The interview data was transcribed, coded, and grouped to decide the themes. The findings indicated that the primary challenges they encountered when teaching EFL including demotivated students, excessive working hours, numerous obligations, improper utilization of technology by students, and governmental expectations resulted from the Merdeka Curriculum. These results suggest complex problems experienced by teachers in Indonesia. Understanding teachers’ challenges in EFL education give insights to stakeholders, including policy maker and curriculum developers to optimize EFL education in Indonesia.
