Abstract

The development of digital technology has positively impacted the world of education, especially in creating more interactive and innovative learning media. The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) in learning is one of the innovations that can provide new learning experiences for students by presenting visualizations of abstract concepts in real life. This research aims to develop AR-based mathematics learning media to facilitate students' mathematical computational thinking skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects involved 16 Insan Cendekia Sheikh Yusuf Gowa High School students. The research instruments used included product validation sheets, learner and teacher response questionnaires, and mathematical computational thinking ability tests. Analysis of research data focused on analyzing the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Augmented Reality-based mathematics learning media. The results showed that the Augmented Reality-based mathematics learning media developed had met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning has been recognized as one of the important skills in mathematics learning. The assessment of this cognitive skill necessitates a robust and well-structured evaluation instrument to ensure accurate measurement. This study aims to develop an algebra literacy assessment instrument integrated with character education reinforcement to evaluate students’ mathematical reasoning abilities. Adopting a design-based research approach through the Formative Research model (Tessmer), this study involves undergraduate students enrolled in the Mathematics Education Program at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar. The research instruments include the algebra literacy assessment, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis is conducted to determine the validity, reliability, item difficulty level, discriminatory power, and practicality of the test items. The research and development process culminated in a validated 30-item algebra literacy assessment instrument integrated with character education reinforcement, demonstrating robust psychometric properties. The findings indicate that the developed instrument is a valid and reliable tool for assessing mathematical reasoning skills in higher education contexts.

Abstract

A Systematic Literature Review of Technology-Based Learning Models to Improve Numeracy Literacy in the Indonesian Context. Objectives: Technology-based learning is a learning approach that fosters student interaction with various learning resources. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of technology-based learning models that can improve numeracy literacy. Methods: This research employed a Systematic Literature Review following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol. Data were collected using the Publish or Perish tool from Scopus and Google Scholar databases, limited to articles published between 2016 and 2025. A total of 25 articles were deemed eligible for analysis. Findings: The results of this study indicate that various technology-based learning models facilitate the improvement of students' numeracy literacy skills. These models integrate technology to create learning that supports a more concrete understanding of numeracy concepts. In addition, this study also identifies the types of technologies used in technology-based learning models, which consist of four main categories: hardware, general software, mathematical software, and online resources. Notably, the most prominent findings highlight the use of General Software and Online Resources, which are widely applied in various learning models to support students’ numeracy literacy development.  Conclusion: This study concludes that technology-based learning models have the potential to significantly enhance students’ numeracy literacy by implementing various forms of technology into the learning process. These models not only provide a more concrete understanding of numeracy concepts but also create interactive and engaging learning environments. The contribution of this research provides a solid basis for educators to adopt more effective and relevant technology-based learning models to improve students' numeracy literacy. Keywords: learning model, numeracy literacy, technology.
