Abstract

Polysaccharides are the main component in edible mushrooms and have an important role in food and medicine. Polysaccharide extraction methods and drying of mushroom simplicia are very important to obtain high polysaccharide soaks. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of adding pressure and alkali on the results of polysaccharide soaking extracted using the hot water extraction method, and the effect of different drying methods (food dehydrator and freeze drying) on the results of polysaccharide soaking. Stages in the research include: (1) collecting palm fungal biomass that grows on empty oil palm bunches, (2) preparing mushroom powder, (3) drying palm fungus biomass using a food dehydrator at a temperature of 70oC, (4) extracting dry palm fungus biomass using hot water, pressurized hot water and alkali, (5) determination of polysaccharide soak. The research results showed that the hot water extraction method without applying pressure gave a soaking yield of 3.85%, while with applying pressure the soaking yield was 8.29%. Re-extraction with the addition of alkaline solvent was able to increase the yield of polysaccharide soak by 5.08%. The research results also showed that the drying method influenced the results of the polysaccharide soak obtained. Drying with a food dehydrator was able to obtain higher soaking results (13.37%) compared to freeze drying (6.02%). Thus, it can be concluded that the oil palm mushroom simplicia which is dried with a food dehydrator and extracted using the hot water extraction method with pressure and alkali is able to increase the highest yield of polysaccharide soak. Abstract

Current technological developments provide many changes, especially in the field of education. The development of technology requires humans to be able to adapt to life in this era. One of them is by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in chemistry learning to open the way to a new era in chemistry education. Literature review was carried out using the narrative literature review method to identify the role of AI in chemistry learning in improving 21st century skills. The application of AI in chemistry learning not only has a positive impact on 21st century skills, but also changes the way students interact with chemistry concepts and opens up new opportunities for students to understand chemistry concepts in more depth through enhanced learning media, interactive simulations, and predictions accurate. The application of AI has been widely applied in chemistry learning and has shown positive results in improving 21st century skills.

Abstract

Limbah ampas kopi mengandung zat organik tinggi dan bisa menjadi polusi air jika langsung dibuang ke saluran pembuangan yang mengalir sampai ke sungai. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan melatih keterampilan kepada anggota PKK Desa Perdopo mengenai pemanfaatan limbah ampas kopi menjadi sebuah produk yang memiliki nilai jual. Pembuatan sabun dengan metode cold process. Proses pembuatan dengan mencampurkan aquadest, NaOH, minyak sayur, dan ampas kopi hingga mengental kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam cetakan. Kemudian memasuki proses curing, yaitu proses menunggu sabun yang telah mengeras selama 3-4 minggu, untuk menormalkan PH yang terkandung dalam sabun. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan metode pendidikan masyarakat dan pelatihan. Program kerja ini mampu menghasilkan produk sabun batang dari limbah ampas kopi. Hasil dari pemanfaatan limbah ampas kopi ini dapat menjadi produk kreatif yang menarik dan inovasi untuk berwirausaha.
