Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the fish net game on the sprint running learning ability of 35 fifth-grade students at SDN Sekarwangi.  The method in this study uses a quantitative pre-experimental one-group pretest and posttest method.  Based on the results of the normality test, it is known that the overall pretest data is 0.179 and the posttest is 0.050>0.05, which are normally distributed. Then, in the next test using the homogeneity test, it was found that the significance value (Sig) Based on Mean was 0.987 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the variance of the experimental group data is the same or homogeneous. Then, it was tested using the paired sample T test, and it was found that the Sig. value showed a result of 0.021<0.05, which means that H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected.  Then, in the regression analysis, an R-Square value of 0.386 was obtained.  This indicates that 38.6% of the variability in the dependent variable (post-test) can be explained by the independent variable (pre-test), while the remaining 61.4% is influenced by other factors or contributions from other variables.  Conclusion, that the results of sprint running learning can be influenced by the fishnet game.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-compassion or self-compassion and the mental condition of soccer athletes. Self-compassion is a positive attitude that involves acceptance and gentleness towards oneself when experiencing failure or pressure. In the world of sports, especially soccer, a stable and positive mental condition is very important for players to be able to perform optimally and face pressure on the field. The results of the study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between the level of self-compassion and good mental condition in soccer athletes. Athletes who are able to be gentle and understanding towards themselves usually show calmness, self-confidence, and better ability to control emotions. Developing a self-compassion attitude can help athletes to recover after experiencing failure and stay motivated in achieving their best performance. Based on these findings, it is recommended that coaches and related parties pay attention to the mental health aspects of players through self-compassion training and coaching. By increasing sensitivity to mental conditions, it is hoped that players will not only excel technically and physically, but also have mental strength that can support their success on the field and in everyday life. Self-compassion is one of the important keys in building a strong and happy warrior mentality in sports.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the project-based learning (learning PjBL) model to the basic movement skills of step patterns in elementary schools. The method used was quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test  .  control group design Students from grade IV at Public Elementary Schools Duri Kosambi 07 Jakarta were divided into two groups: the experimental group (PjBL) and the control group using conventional learning. The test results statistical (Sig. 0.000 <0.05) showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results in in both groups, indicating that the PjBL model is effective improving students’ basic movement skills.  additionIn, the N-Gain test results showed that the experimental group was . better than the control groupThis study found that the PjBL model encourages students to participate actively, creatively, and collaboratively in improving the basic movement skills of pencak silat step patterns more effectively than conventional methods. Therefore, PjBL can be used as an alternative to innovative physical learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of target pattern training on smash accuracy in badminton. Smash accuracy is one of the key factors in the success of badminton, which requires high technical skills and concentration. The method used in this study was an experiment with a pre-test and post-test design. The study sample consisted of 20 badminton athletes who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group who did target pattern training and the control group who did not receive special treatment. Target pattern training was carried out for 6 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week. Smash accuracy measurements were carried out before and after the training using a validated smash accuracy test. The data obtained were analyzed using a paired t-test to see the difference in average smash accuracy before and after training. The results showed a significant increase in smash accuracy in the experimental group compared to the control group. Based on these results, it can be concluded that target pattern training has a positive effect on increasing smash accuracy in badminton athletes. The results of the statistical data analysis obtained from the pre-test data test had a P-value (sig) of 0.875. In other words, the test conducted using Kolmogorov Smirnov on the pre-test is greater than α = 0.05, which means that the data is normally distributed. And the paired sample t-test obtained a result of 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of target pattern training on smash accuracy in badminton. The results of the initial and final tests showed that there was a significant increase after the treatment was given. This shows that this target smash pattern training method has an effect on improving the quality of reaction speed for the Badminton Student Activity Unit at one of the Universities in West Java, Sumedang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to implement the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) learning model to enhance the kasti playing skills of students at Heuleut I Public Elementary School Majalengka. Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU) is an instructional model that emphasizes understanding tactics and game strategies rather than solely focusing on the mastery of physical techniques. It is anticipated that this model will encourage students to be more active in the learning process, improve their comprehension of the game, and facilitate comprehensive motor skill development. The study involved 27 fifth-grade students at Heuleut I Public Elementary School Majalengka, including 17 male and 10 female students. This research utilized a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. Data collection was conducted in two phases: quantitative and qualitative. The success indicator for this study was set at a 90% proficiency rate in students’ kasti playing skills. Pre-cycle observations indicated a skill level of 11.2%. In Cycle I, students’ skill levels improved to 37.1%; in Cycle II, they reached 70.3%; and in Cycle III, they attained 92.6%. The results from Cycle III demonstrated that students achieved the success criterion of 90% proficiency in kasti playing skills. In conclusion, the findings of this study indicate that the application of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) learning model in kasti instruction significantly enhances the playing skills of fifth-grade students at Heuleut I Public Elementary School Majalengka.
