Abstract

Acute respiratory tract infection (ARTI) is a disease that often occurs in Indonesia, especially in children. The population of children is high risk of receiving off-label prescription drugs. This study was aimed to evaluate the off-label use of drugs in prescribing with acute respiratory tract infection. This researchis a descriptive observational. Data was collected by the prescription in children aged February to march 2022. In this study, 92 prescriptions were obtaind with a diagnosis of ARTI. The use of off-label drug was 5.0% with the off-label age category (2.1%), off-label dose (1.4%), off-label route of administration (1.4%). The type of off-label drug most commonly prescribed in children with ARTI is chlorpheniramine maleate. It can be concluded in children with ARTI disease is quite high that is 5.0%. Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) termasuk penyakit yang banyak terjadi pada Indonesia terutama di usia anak. pada populasi anak beresiko menerima peresepan obat off-label dikarenakan terbatasnya data efikasi obat untuk anak. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk menskrining penggunaan obat secara off-label di peresepan pasien ISPA pada anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitan naratif observasional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan peresepan obat dengan penaksiran ISPA pada anak usia 0-18 tahun. pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2022. pada penelitian ini didapatkan 92 resep dengan penaksiran ISPA. Penggunaan Obat off-label di ISPA sebanyak 5.0% menggunakan kategori offlabel usia (2.1%), kategori off-label takaran (1.4%), kategori off-label rute pemberian (1.4%). Jenis obat off-label paling banyak diresepkan untuk ISPA anak yaitu Klorfeniramin maleat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan bisa disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan obat off-label pada penyakit ISPA anak relatif tinggi yaitu 5.0%.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a physiological condition for women, especially for women of childbearing age. Pregnancy lasts for 42 weeks consisting of 3 trimesters, namely trimester I, II, and III. This study aims to reduce nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester at the Akmar Jaya Clinic, Serang City. The research method used in this study was a Quasi Experimental study in one group (one group pre-test post-test). The results showed that the majority of nausea and vomiting frequencies before the intervention were 6-10 times, namely 8 people (50%), after the intervention was mild with a frequency of nausea and vomiting 1-3 times, as many as 12 people (75%). Statistically, the p-value was obtained = 0.000 or less than the α value (0.05). The conclusion is that pregnant women in their first trimester can successfully reduce nausea and vomiting by using lemon aromatherapy at the Akmar Jaya Clinic, Serang City in 2004.
