Abstract

Arabic language learning in higher education has an important role in shaping students' linguistic competence, especially in Islamic-based institutions. However, its implementation in practice often faces challenges that affect the teaching-learning process. This article aims to analyze the problems of Arabic language learning in higher education, identify the source of the problems, and offer solutions to the learning that is carried out. This analysis uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. This article screened 20 articles from Scopus and Google Scholar indexed journals published between 2018-2024. The results of the analysis show that there are four main problems, first the low competence of lecturers in applying learning methods, second the lack of utilization of educational technology in the learning process, third the limitations of teaching materials, fourth the low motivation of students in learning Arabic. These findings indicate that learning Arabic requires new approaches, such as the integration of digital-based technology, continuous training for lecturers, and the provision of teaching materials tailored to the needs and interests of students. The four results of this analysis are expected to provide insights for curriculum development and more effective Arabic learning methods. For future researchers, it is hoped that the results of this analysis can be the main reference and for lecturers, curriculum developers and policy designers in overcoming the challenges of learning Arabic in higher education and improving the quality of graduates who have superior linguistic competence.

Abstract

One of the factors that influences students' learning motivation is the use of appropriate learning media by teachers because media is a tool to convey the message of the material being taught. This research aims to analyze the effects of using multimedia in the learning process in elementary schools. This research uses quantitative methods with a classroom action research approach. Data sources were taken using questionnaires and oral tests from twenty-one students from one of the elementary schools in Indonesia. All data were analyzed using SPSS 18 software with descriptive analysis (percent). Overall statistical analysis shows that the use of the model Picture and Picture in social learning has shown encouraging results. This fact can be seen from the increase in students' pre-test and post-test scores which were carried out through two learning cycles. Even students show positive learning attitudes such as being happy, enthusiastic, and always active in learning. Therefore, pictures and pictures are one of the alternatives that teachers can use as a solution for social learning which has been considered boring and students get bored quickly.

Abstract

The use of animals as research objects in the world of science, such as biology and health, is common practice. However, the problem that often arises is the lack of knowledge of researchers regarding ethics or the correct procedure for using animals as research samples. This article precisely discusses how to use animals in research without violating the ethics that have been regulated by Islam and the provisions of science. This article was written using a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. Data was taken from the framework of Islamic and scientific theoretical concepts, scientific articles related to the issue of animal use, organizational provisions, and international law regarding animal protection as research samples. All data collected is carried out by analysis interactive model Milles & Hubberman assisted by NVIVO 12.0 Software. This finding resulted in seven ethical uses of animals in research; i) reciting tauhid sentence, ii) not using sick animals, iii) using sharp surgical tools, iv) hiding from the eyes of animals, v) minimizing the quantity of animal use, vi) using the euthanasia method, vii) handling post-surgical management. These seven ethics can be used as a reference for researchers in the use of animals in a study, to guarantee and ensure that animals are treated with proper and good ethics.
