Abstract

The commendable morals exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. as a human example through one of his characteristics, namely honesty. However, the world of education is currently starting to experience decadence in morals. Dishonesty stems from things like cheating and lying. Class teachers play a role in the formation of students personalities. Therefore, honest character must be instilled as early as possible in elementary students so that it becomes a provision for life in society. This research aims to describe role of class teachers in cultivating students honest character values along with supporting and inhibiting factors. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The results of this research indicate that the role of class teachers in cultivating students honest character is the role of teachers as teachers, role models, educators, mentors and motivators. Supporting factors for class teachers in cultivating students honest character values are habituation at school, communication between teachers and parents, and involvement of the school. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are family, peers, and students self-awareness. This research emphasises the importance of the classroom teacher's role in teaching honesty to students to shape moral and ethical character. Teachers are expected to be teachers, role models and motivators who create an environment that supports honesty. Suggested follow-up actions include increasing cooperation between schools, parents and communities to build a sustainable culture of honesty, as well as providing training for teachers in effective teaching methods. The research also encourages further study of inhibiting factors related to the role of family and social interaction among peers.

Abstract

Penanaman sikap ilmiah menjadi hal yang luput dari perhatian dunia pendidikan. Hal ini disebabkan kurang maksimalnya penanaman sikap ilmiah sehingga sikap ilmiah pada siswa menjadi tidak tampak seutuhnya. Di usia mereka yang masih berada pada tahap kognitif operasional konkret, penanaman sikap ilmiah lebih mudah diterapkan karena rasa ingin tahu pada usia ini sangatlah tinggi. Melalui pembelajaran IPA di SD/MI, sikap ilmiah dapat dikembangkan lewat kegiatan dan aktivitas-aktivitas yang menstimulasi siswa untuk bersikap secara ilmiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka untuk melengkapi data terkait topik yang sedang diteliti. Data didapatkan melalui riset kepustakaan (library research) dengan teknik analisa kualitatif dengan cara deduktif. Pada penelitian ini, diperoleh hasil kurangnya penanaman sikap ilmiah pada siswa melalui pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran IPA sehingga sikap tidak tampak maksimal pada diri siswa. Hal tersebut bisa dimaksimalkan dengan peran guru dalam mengupayakan proses belajar yang menguatkan pendidikan karakter atau sikap ilmiah dan mengintegrasikannya dalam proses belajar IPA.

Abstract

Islam came to Indonesia since the 7th century through Muslim traders and merchants who made trade contacts in the archipelago. This study discusses the factors driving and inhibiting the process of Islamization in Indonesia. This study uses a library research method whose sources are obtained through books and previous studies which are used as data samples and research instruments. The process of Islamization that occurred in the territory of Indonesia did not always run well. In addition to the many things that support the process of spreading Islamization, there are also those that hinder the process of spreading Islam due to the influence of various aspects. Behind the easy process of accepting Islam in the territory of Indonesia that occurs through various channels of Islamization, the obstacles experienced also have a major influence, resulting in the acceptance of Islam which is not equally welcomed by several community groups who are still thick with previous teachings and beliefs.
