Abstract

The rapid development of technology requires MSME Entrepreneurs to be more creative and innovative. Instagram is one of the Social Media that is widely used in promoting their products today. Like the @pukiskotabaru account which uses Instagram as a digital marketing tool. The purpose of this study is to determine the type of use of language varieties in video content on the @pukiskotabaru Instagram account and assess the effectiveness of the use of language varieties by the @pukiskotabaru Instagram account in attracting attention and influencing consumers. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods with data collection techniques then used content analysis techniques, where researchers collected several video content to find several interesting posts or videos in the process of digital marketing of their products. The results of this study indicate that the use of language varieties in the video content of the @pukiskotabaru Instagram account consists of spoken language varieties, written language varieties, and nonstandard language varieties, the use of persuasive written language varieties and strong visuals to attract consumer interest and the use of these language varieties has proven to be quite effective in attracting attention and influencing consumers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi efektif Toko "Do Spices" dalam meningkatkan minat konsumen di platform Shopee. Dengan fokus pada produk rempah-rempah organik dan bumbu kering, penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi kasus untuk mengevaluasi konten visual, narasi merek, dan interaksi konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi storytelling transformasi personal pendiri, konsistensi klaim kesehatan (92% deskripsi produk), serta responsivitas tinggi (87% ulasan direspons 24 jam) berhasil meningkatkan konversi penjualan sebesar 32% dan repeat purchase rate 29%. Tantangan utamanya adalah harga yang tinggi membuat para konsumen ragu untuk membeli. Rekomendasi strategis mencakup optimalisasi konten video pendek, riset kata kunci spesifik, dan integrasi pesan lintas platform. Temuan ini memberikan panduan operasional bagi UMKM produk niche dalam membangun kepercayaan dan diferensiasi merek di pasar digital.

Abstract

Universities are required to develop learning models that support effective learning processes and ensure student satisfaction. Medan State University has implemented a block system that organizes learning into intensive periods focusing on a single course at a time. This study aims to determine the effect of the block system on student satisfaction in the Management Department, Faculty of Economics. This research employed a quantitative approach using a structured questionnaire distributed to 50 students who participated in block-system learning. The instrument was validated and tested for reliability before use. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and simple linear regression after fulfilling classical assumption tests. The results show that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable, and the regression model met the assumptions of normality, homoscedasticity, and non-autocorrelation. Regression analysis indicates that the block system has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction, expressed in the equation Y = 2.817 + 1.013X. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.859) demonstrates that the block system explains 85.9% of the variation in student satisfaction. These findings confirm that the block system contributes meaningfully to improving focus, comprehension, and learning experience, which lead to higher satisfaction among Management students at Medan State University.
