Abstract

Globalization basically begins to change habits and even culture that is rooted in society, starting from changes in lifestyle and even influencing the norms and tastes of society itself. Globalization is starting to change this with the existence of affordable and easily accessible media, making it easier for people to access information from all over the world. They continue to absorb and apply all the information they receive without considering the possible impacts of globalization. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and library research methods. Descriptive qualitative research is a research method that involves several important efforts, such as searching for and collecting references and analyzing data results to explore the topic. Globalization is a word that we often hear and see. Globalization has many impacts, both bad and good. In summary, globalization in the digital era is a complex phenomenon that requires careful attention and action to preserve local cultural diversity while being open to global influences. In conclusion, the impact of globalization on local culture in the digital era has positive and negative sides. It is important to find the right balance between responding to global trends and maintaining local cultural identity.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to predict the potential of financial distress in cement companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2016-2020. Using saturated sampling method, all five companies were selected as the sample, who were observed for five years. This quantitative study uses discriminant analysis. The variables of this research were referred to the study of Edward I. This study uses the modified Altman consisting of working capital to total assets (WC/TA), retained earnings to total assets (RE/TA), earnings before interest and taxes to total assets (EBIT/TA), and book value of equity to book value of debt (BVE/BVD). The results of the analysis suggest that the four variables above are able to significantly distinguish cement companies that are under financial distress and those which are not because the F test and the Wilks’ Lambda test resulted in the significance value of < 0.05. In addition, WC/TA ratio is the dominant predicting variable in differentiating the two groups of companies as it has the highest loading value, i.e. 0.840.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing economic growth in East Asia and the Pacific. The data used was taken in 2012-2022. A multiple linear regression model with the development of a model using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method was used to analyze the relationship between economic growth and independent variables such as the consumer price index (CPI) and education. The results of the study show that all independent variables have a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable, namely economic growth

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi dan proses dalam membangun brand yang efektif pada produk Astanana. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dimana peneliti mewawancarai owner pemilik brand astanana secara langsung. Dengan melakukan wawancara dan analisis, peneliti berhasil memperoleh hasil data yang mendalam, menggambarkan perspektif dan pengalaman langsung dari responden terkait dalam membangun brand. AstaNana lahir dari perpaduan filosofi budaya lokal dan visi modern untuk menciptakan produk yang tidak hanya berkualitas tetapi juga menyampaikan pesan positif kepada pelanggan. Ide Awal dan Inspirasi Brand terinspirasi oleh kebutuhan akan produk yang tidak hanya fungsional namun juga memiliki nilai emosional. Para pendiri AstaNana ingin menciptakan sesuatu yang lebih dari sekedar produk fisik: simbol harapan dan kebahagiaan bagi pelanggannya. Hasil menunjukan bahwa bisnis kripik pisang Astanana memiliki potensi besar, namun perlu strategi tepat agar berkembang pesat. Strategi tersebut antara lain mempertimbangkan logo yang menarik dan kemasan yang eye-catching untuk menonjolkan kualitas dan keunikan kripik pisang, meningkatkan strategi pemasaran dengan manfaatkan media sosial untuk menjangkau target pasar, eksplorasi lebih banyak varian rasa baru, juga inovasi produk untuk mempertahankan daya tarik. Selain itu, kerja sama dengan influencer makanan juga bisa menjadi bahan pertimbangan untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Dengan strategi yang tepat dan konsisten, AstaNana bisa menjadi brand kripik pisang terkemuka. The method used is a qualitative approach where the researcher interviewed the owner of the Astanana brand directly. By conducting interviews and analysis, researchers succeeded in obtaining in-depth data results, describing the perspectives and direct experiences of respondents related to building brands. AstaNana was born from a combination of local cultural philosophy and a modern vision to create products that are not only of high quality but also convey a positive message to customers. Initial Idea and Inspiration for the Brand was inspired by the need for a product that was not only functional but also had emotional value. AstaNana's founders wanted to create something more than just a physical product: a symbol of hope and happiness for its customers. The results show that the Astanana banana chips business has great potential, but it needs the right strategy to grow rapidly. These strategies include considering an attractive logo and eye-catching packaging to highlight the quality and uniqueness of banana chips, improving marketing strategies by utilizing social media to reach the target market, exploring more new flavor variants, as well as product innovation to maintain appeal. Apart from that, collaborating with food influencers can also be a consideration to expand market reach. With the right and consistent strategy, AstaNana can become a leading banana chip brand.  Keywords: business strategy; building brands; astanana

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of operational efficiency, liquidity, and profitability on capital structure in manufacturing companies operating in the basic and chemical industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2023 period. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression, with the Fixed Effect model selected based on the results of the Chow and Hausman tests. The research sample consisted of 32 companies that met the criteria, and data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistical approaches. The findings indicate that operational efficiency does not have a significant impact on capital structure. In contrast, liquidity has a significant negative effect, suggesting that companies with high liquidity levels tend to rely on internal funding sources rather than external financing. Meanwhile, profitability has a significant positive effect on capital structure, indicating that highly profitable firms are more likely to opt for external financing. The regression model used explains 30.89% of the variation in capital structure, with a statistically significant F-statistic. The validity and reliability of the model were confirmed through multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests. Overall, the study concludes that operational efficiency does not directly influence capital structure, whereas liquidity and profitability play significant roles in financing decisions. The implications of these findings offer strategic guidance for corporate management in formulating financing strategies based on a company’s liquidity position and profitability level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi efektif Toko "Do Spices" dalam meningkatkan minat konsumen di platform Shopee. Dengan fokus pada produk rempah-rempah organik dan bumbu kering, penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi kasus untuk mengevaluasi konten visual, narasi merek, dan interaksi konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi storytelling transformasi personal pendiri, konsistensi klaim kesehatan (92% deskripsi produk), serta responsivitas tinggi (87% ulasan direspons 24 jam) berhasil meningkatkan konversi penjualan sebesar 32% dan repeat purchase rate 29%. Tantangan utamanya adalah harga yang tinggi membuat para konsumen ragu untuk membeli. Rekomendasi strategis mencakup optimalisasi konten video pendek, riset kata kunci spesifik, dan integrasi pesan lintas platform. Temuan ini memberikan panduan operasional bagi UMKM produk niche dalam membangun kepercayaan dan diferensiasi merek di pasar digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman orang tua terkait dengan penggunaan YouTube oleh anak-anak dan menjelajahi pandangan baru mengenai dampak positif serta negatif dari penggunaan YouTube di dalam kehidupan anak menurut orang tua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan di dalam ini adalah meta analisis dengan mengumpulkan serta menganalisis data dengan berbagai sumber artikel penelitian yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2020 sampai 2023. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya intensitas tinggi dari penggunaan aplikasi YouTube yang bernilai rata-rata 0,64. Selain itu, peran orang tua dalam memberikan pemahaman mengenai konten video yang bisa di tonton anak sangat penting guna membantu anak membuat keputusan yang lebih bijak. Meskipun YouTube dapat memberikan manfaat tertentu, adanya pengawasan dan bimbingan orang tua tetap menjadi hal penting untuk memitigasi dampak negatif untuk perkembangan sosial anak.

Abstract

Urban life is increasingly becoming the main focus in the development of urbanization in various countries, including Indonesia. With rapid economic growth, the millennial generation, which is the dominant group in the urban population, has a significant role in determining lifestyle trends, especially regarding residential preferences. This research aims to examine the lifestyle of housing residents in Medan Johor District with a focus on the residential preferences of the millennial generation. This research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires and observation. The variables in this research can be divided into variable as well as demographic factors that may influence residential preferences (such as: age, income, marital status, etc.). The research results show that the millennial generation tends to have housing preferences that prioritize affordability, transportation accessibility and an environmentally friendly environment. The research results show that there is a connection between millennial lifestyles and residential preferences. Statistical analysis shows a significant relationship between lifestyle factors and choice of residence.These findings have significant implications for housing developers and related stakeholders in designing and developing housing that suits the preferences and lifestyle of the millennial generation in Medan Johor District with a sample of 6 housing complexes.

Abstract

The existence of social media in the digital era has an important role in the promotion of various industrial sectors in Indonesia, including the tourism industry. There are many kinds of platforms that can be utilized in the promotion of a tourist destination, one of which is TikTok. TikTok is a culinary center platform where a variety of unique and creative culinary delights are celebrated and promoted, one of which is Tsukamie Noodle Bar culinary. This research aims to see the effectiveness of promoting Tsukamie Noodle Bar culinary tourist destinations through the TikTok platform in attracting tourists to visit. The research method used is a qualitative method, where researchers conduct direct interviews with the manager or owner of Tsukamie Noodle. The final results of the study stated that the manager stated that Instagram was considered easier and more convenient to use as a promotional media, especially in terms of building interactions with audiences thanks to its complete features.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana pengusaha pemula memaknai kesalahan dan ketidakpastian dalam proses manajerial kewirausahaan mereka. Kesalahan dan ketidakpastian merupakan dua aspek yang tidak dapat dihindari dalam dunia bisnis modern yang dinamis. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan paradigma interpretatif, penelitian ini menggali pengalaman sepuluh pengusaha muda di Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara, dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur, observasi non-partisipatif, dan dokumentasi digital. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis tematik sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Braun dan Clarke (2019). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan dipahami bukan sebagai kegagalan, melainkan sebagai sarana pembelajaran reflektif (reflective learning) yang memperkaya pengalaman manajerial. Sementara itu, ketidakpastian dipandang sebagai ruang bagi kreativitas dan adaptasi terhadap perubahan lingkungan bisnis. Dari proses refleksi atas kesalahan dan ketidakpastian, terbentuklah ketangguhan wirausaha (entrepreneurial resilience) yang menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan pola pikir inovatif dan adaptif. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemaknaan positif terhadap kesalahan dan ketidakpastian menjadi fondasi utama dalam pembentukan karakter wirausahawan muda yang tangguh, kreatif, dan berorientasi pada pembelajaran berkelanjutan.
