Abstract

Abstrak Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) merupakan indikator dalam menilai kualitas pembangunan kesehatan. Salah satu penyebab kematian maternal adalah terjadinya komplikasi kehamilan. Ibu hamil perlu mencegah komplikasi kehamilan dengan mengenali tanda bahaya kehamilan. Selain itu, ibu hamil juga memerlukan informasi mengenai persiapan laktasi setelah melahirkan. Hal ini merupakan upaya agar ibu hamil dapat mempersiapkan diri untuk mampu menyusui secara eksklusif. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman ibu hamil untuk mengenali tanda bahaya kehamilan dan mempersiapkan laktasi pasca persalinan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Poliklinik Kandungan Rumah Sakit Islam Sultan Agung Banjarbaru. Topik yang dibawakan yakni pencegahan tanda bahaya kehamilan, perawatan payudara, dan teknik menyusui. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi dengan masing-masing topik diberikan selama 30 menit. Jumlah responden yang hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut berjumlah 25 orang. Hasil evaluasi disampaikan bahwa ibu dapat memahami tanda bahaya kehamilan, cara perawatan payudara dan teknik menyusui yang benar. Perlunya kegiatan serupa sebagai bagian dari promosi kesehatan dalam mendukung kebijakan pemerintah. Kata kunci: edukasi kesehatan; kehamilan; perawatan payudara; tanda bahaya kehamilan; teknik menyusui. AbstractMaternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is an indicator in assessing the quality of health development. One of the causes of maternal death is pregnancy complications. Pregnant women need to prevent pregnancy complications by recognizing pregnancy danger signs. In addition, pregnant women also need information about preparing for lactation after giving nirth. This in an effort so that pregnant women can prepare themselves to be able to breastfeed exclusively. This community service aims to improve the understanding of pregnant women to recognize pregnancy danger signs and prepare for postpartum lactation. This activity was carried out at the Obstetrics Polyclinic of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital, Banjarbaru. The topics presented were prevention of pregnancy danger signs, breast care, and breastfeeding techniques. The method used was lectures and discuccions with each topic given for 30 minutes. The number of respondents who attended the activity was 25 people. The evaluastion results showed that mothers could understans pregnancy danger signs how to care for breast and correct breastfeeding techniques. The need for similar activities as part of health promotion in supporting governmeny policies.  Keywords: health education; pregnancy; breast care; danger signs of pregnancy; breastfeeding techniques.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition before, during and after birth. This condition has a major impact on child development and cognitive abilities in the future. The discovery of stunting cases by cadres at toddler posyandus spread across each sub-district. The role of posyandu cadres is at the forefront in recognizing stunting incidents. This activity aims to improve the ability of posyandu cadres in preventing stunting incidents both during pregnancy and in caring for children. This activity is an activity in the application of health promotion to cadres which is a form of dedication of lecturers in applying their knowledge and supporting government efforts to improve human resources. The implementation of this activity involved 30 toddler posyandu cadres and pregnant women spread across 4 sub-districts, namely Cempaka Village, Sungai Tiung Village, Bangkal Village, and Palam Village. This activity was carried out in the Cempaka District Hall. Before the implementation of education about stunting, a pre-test questionnaire was filled out for 10 minutes, then continued with the presentation of the material and ended with a post-test questionnaire for 10 minutes. The results obtained showed that the knowledge of cadres about stunting increased after being given education. The knowledge of cadres with a high level of knowledge before training by 6.67% increased to 73.33%. The importance of knowledge possessed by cadres as the front line in preventing stunting.
