Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know how the influence of knowledge, facilities, infrastructure and the role of teachers on the implementation of the School Health Program Program (UKS) in elementary schools in Simpang Kiri, Subulussalam City. This study includes survey research. Sources of data are all school principals and UKS totaling 30 people. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test approach. The results showed that the implementation of the program had a close relationship with the knowledge of teachers, facilities and infrastructure and the role of teachers in each school. This means that the better the knowledge of teachers, facilities and infrastructure and the role of teachers in each school, the better the implementation of the school health program program (UKS) in that school. In the implementation of UKS in the Simpang Kiri working area, Subulussalam City, several parties involved in the UKS program have not implemented their roles and functions optimally, as well as the available facilities and infrastructure are not adequate so that the implementation of UKS has not functioned properly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun server Internet of Things (IoT) untuk optimasi pertanian cerdas di Geopark Ciletuh Sukabumi, sebuah destinasi wisata alam yang terletak di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. IoT, atau sensor jaringan nirkabel, merupakan sistem jaringan yang menghubungkan beberapa sensor dan dilengkapi dengan alat komunikasi untuk menerima informasi atau data dari perangkat yang terhubung. Server IoT ini dirancang untuk memudahkan monitoring kelembaban tanah pada area pertanian, di mana data tersebut disimpan dalam database dan ditampilkan melalui website. Dengan demikian, petani dapat melakukan pemantauan kelembaban tanah secara efisien dan real-time, yang akan membantu meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan mengurangi risiko gagal panen

Abstract

Shallots are one of the leading commodities in Indonesia. The demand for shallots has increased, both for consumption and seeds, forcing Indonesia to import to meet these needs. Pidie Regency has been the center for shallot development in Aceh since 2019. This community service activity aimed to transfer knowledge and technology to farmers to produce compost and biochar independently in order to increase productivity and maintain the quality of land fertility. This activity is a demonstration plot for the implementation of the USK 2023 Kedaireka activities, in the fostered village of the Pionir Nusantara Foundation as a partner (Dayah Sukon Village, Pidie Regency) from August to November 2023. Mentoring activities were carried out through FGDs, providing knowledge about onion cultivation technology with sustainable microbial compost and biochar along with pest and disease management. Demonstration of good onion planting and production of Trichoderma and biochar compost and the application techniques were executed at the beginning of the activity. Proceeded with post-harvest and onion production results calculation based on farming efforts. Participants engaged in the activity enthusiastically, asking questions and telling stories about the cultivation practices they have done, learning how to make Trichoderma and biochar compost as well as the problems. Participants planted onion seeds using the land they have. Demonstration plots of sustainable onion cultivation practices with Trichoderma compost and Biochar in fostered villages increase production by 1:15, denoting that 1 kg of seeds produces 15 kg of onion bulbs. This effort is made to drive onions as primary commodity to support the community's economy and increase farmers' income, and be replicated by other farmers to invigorate Pidie Regency as the center for Aceh's shallots production.

Abstract

Kerangas forests typifies as tropical-rain vegetation trees, characterized by among others their low nutrients contents and sparse biodiversities, thereby denying their tree uses. The kerangas forests grow widespread in Kalimantan (e.g. South Kalimantan). Among the species that can grow and with stand such extreme condition is merapat (Combretocarpus rotundatus) trees. Their leaves contains particular chemical compounds that indicatively afford physiological bioactivities e.g. antioxidants. Consequentys this could expectedly emulate the added values for merapat tree uses. In relevant, scrutiny on phytochemical compounds and testing of such antioxidant efficacy were conducted on the samples of dry merapat tree-leaves taken from the kerangas forest in South Kalimantan. Initially, the dry leaves were extracted with methanol solvent, which yielded the methanol extract (i.e. sample 1), further fractionated by the column chromatography using chloroform eluant. The obtained chloroform-eluted fractions (sample 2) were fractionated again by the misced ethyl acetate-chloroform solvents (in equal proportion), which yielded the so-called sample 3. Phytochemical scrutiny revealed that the methanol extracts contained particular compounds such as flavonoids, phenol derivatives, bydroquinone, tannin, and triterpenoids, wich among them afforded the anticocidant efficacy. The methanol extract (sample 1) exchibited the very strongest antioxidant action by inflicting such reduction reaction on the free radicals released by the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl), while such action exerted by the chloroform-eluted fractions' sample 2 and the ethyl-acetate-chloroform-eluted fractions' sample 3 was very little. The inhibition of free-radical formation from DPPH as much as 50% (IC50) occurred at 21.82 ppm of the methanol-extract concentration. Meanwhile, vitamin C and BHT as the control antioxidants performed more efficiently at much less than 21.82 ppm (i.e. 6.74 and 6.28 ppm, respectively). However, such IC50 value strongly suggests that the merapat leaves' methanol extract afforded the potential bioactivity as antioxidant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji terkait implementasi pendampingan Program Kampung Iklim (ProKlim) di Desa Roomo, Kecamatan Manyar, Kabupaten Gresik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan ketahanan masyarakat terhadap dampak adanya perubahan iklim melalui kajian pelaksanaan program bantuan Program Kampung Iklim (ProKlim). Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam seluruh tahapan mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program melalui penggunaan teknik Participatory Action Research (PAR). Kelompok masyarakat Romansa (POKMAS), kader lingkungan, kader bank sampah, dan kader pemantau jentik nyamuk (JUMANTIK). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai strategi adaptasi dan mitigasi, termasuk pengelolaan air hujan, biopori, pembuangan limbah, poster hemat energi, pengembangan kebun toga, dan penanaman pohon di berbagai lokasi, telah berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial ekonomi sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan menurunkan emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK). Selain berhasil menurunkan bahaya yang terkait dengan dampak perubahan iklim, program ini telah melibatkan masyarakat dalam upaya konservasi yang ramah lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between community participation in the Family Income Improvement Program for Acceptors (UPPKA) and the increase in community income in Air Dingin Sub-district. The research was driven by the need to assess how far community involvement in the UPPKA program influences income improvement. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 19 respondents who are active members of the UPPKA program. Data analysis was performed using the Kendall’s Tau-b correlation test to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables. The correlation interpretation was conducted with reference to the Correlation Coefficient interpretation table and processed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 23. The results indicate a positive and statistically significant relationship between community participation in the UPPKA program and the increase in community income, with a significance value of 0.014 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.547, categorized as a moderately strong relationship.
