Abstract

Increased public interest in red rice and black rice has triggered breeders to develop superior varieties that have high yields and are tolerant of the threat of drought. Genetic parameters are the basis needed for breeding to develop superior varieties. This research aims to examine the genetic parameters of pigmented rice genotypes grown upland. The experiment was carried out in June – September 2024 experimentally in the field using a gogo system, namely in Tampak Siring Village, Batukliang, Central Lombok, NTB. The design used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 21 treatments, 10 red rice lines, 4 black rice lines, 4 parent lines, and 2 comparison varieties. Obtained 63 experimental units by repeating each treatment three times. The data collected was then analyzed using a one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test with a Randomized Block Design (RAK) model at a confidence level of 95% (α=5%), genetic diversity coefficient (KKG) formula, heritability and genotypic correlation. Referring to the analysis that has been carried out, the findings of the coefficient of genetic diversity and heritability of the number of full grains, weight of 100 grains, yield per plot of red rice and black rice lines are in the high category. The number of productive tillers, weight of 100 grains and weight of grain per hill had a significant positive correlation with the yield per plot, while the number of empty grain parameters had a significant negative correlation with the yield per plot.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic traits and yield performance of several promising pigmented rice lines, including red and black rice, grown in medium-lowland paddy fields. The research was conducted from March to June 2025 at an altitude of 402 meters above sea level in Tampak Siring Village, Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency. The experimental method used was a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of 21 treatments, including 11 red rice lines, 4 black rice lines, and 4 parental lines (IPB3S, Situ Patenggang, Baas Selem, and the red rice promising line F2BC4P19-36), along with 2 check varieties, Impago Unram 1 and IR64. Each treatment was replicated three times, resulting in a total of 63 experimental units. The observed data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and significant differences among treatments were further tested using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the agronomic performance of both red and black rice lines exhibited medium maturity, with flowering time ranging from 83 to 93 days after sowing and harvesting time from 120 to 129 days after sowing. The number of productive tillers ranged from 12 to 19 tillers, panicle length ranged from 23 to 27 cm, the number of filled grains per panicle ranged from 130 to 147 grains, and grain weight per clump ranged from 33 to 41 grams. The highest grain yield was recorded in the red rice line G-2M (F7 IPB3S/F2BC4P19-63/FAT/F2BC44P19-63-PD3/15) at 4.99 t/ha, which was higher than its parental lines IPB3S (G1-6IPB3S) at 4.31 t/ha and GH Merah (G-20GHBM) at 3.83 t/ha. Among black rice lines, G-12H (F11BLK.SP/BS 2/1/1/P4) yielded 4.42 t/ha, compared to Baas Selem (G-18BS) at 3.86 t/ha, Situ Patenggang (G-17SP) at 4.63 t/ha, and the check variety IR64 (G-21IR64) at 3.60 t/ha.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks kompetisi dan kehilangan hasil bawang merah akibat kompetisi teki dengan model percobaan aditif, substitusi dan dinamik. Indeks kompetisi teki saat bawang merah berumur 28, 56 dan 84 HST 0,01615; 0,01876 dan 0,02057, sehingga kehilangan hasil bawang merah mencapai 16,15%, 18,76% dan 20,57%. Hasil ini, relevan dengan prediksi kehilangan hasil bawang merah yang dihitung dengan dominansi terbobot, yaitu 16,10%, 18,76% dan 20,57%. Jumlah populasi gulma teki yang dapat ditolerir kehadirannya oleh bawang merah pada umur 28, 56, dan 84 HST 4,00 rumpun m-2, .5,27 rumpun m-2 dan 3.00 rumpun m-2. Kemampuan bawang merah menekan populasi teki menurun pada umur 56 HST dan kembali meningkat pada umur 84 HST. Sebaliknya kemampuan teki menekan pertumbuhan bawang merah pada umur 56 HST meningkat, akan tetapi sedikit menurun pada umur 84 HST, yaitu dari jumlah populasi 3,35 rumpun menjadi 4,244 rumpun. Jadi keberadaan teki pada tanaman bawang merah tidak boleh dibiarkan sampai pencapai populasi 3-4 rumpun m2. Penguasaan sarana tumbuh (Relative Space Occupantion) = RSO) bawang merah pada umur 28 HST lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan RSO teki. Akan tetapi pada saat tanaman berumur 56 HST, penguasaan sarana tumbuh teki pada semua tingkat kerapatannya, signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penguasaan sarana tumbuh bawang merah. Pada tingkat kerapatan populasi 5 rumpun m-2 - 35 rumpun m-2, nilai RSO bawang merah 10,273% – 44,,491%, sedangkan nilai RSO gulma teki 32,512% – 77,128%, dengan nilai pembending berkisar antara 22,239% - 32,637%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan korelasi serta pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung karakter kuantitatif terhadap hasil padi beras merah G16 generasi M6 di Sumbawa Besar. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri atas 13 galur mutan G16 dan dua varietas kontrol, yaitu Inpari 42 dan Gamagora 7, dengan tiga ulangan sehingga diperoleh 45 unit percobaan. Karakter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan total, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang malai, sudut daun bendera, umur berbunga, umur panen, jumlah gabah bernas per malai, bobot 100 butir, dan bobot gabah kering simpan per rumpun. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA), uji BNJ 5%, korelasi fenotipik, uji asumsi analisis, dan analisis jalur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa jumlah anakan total, jumlah anakan produktif, sudut daun bendera, dan umur berbunga memiliki pengaruh langsung signifikan terhadap hasil. Jumlah anakan produktif memiliki pengaruh langsung positif terbesar (1,184), sehingga menjadi karakter seleksi utama untuk mendukung peningkatan hasil galur mutan padi beras merah G16 generasi M6.
