Abstract

Background : Caries in early childhood is a major oral health problem. Caries affects infants and preschool children worldwide. Factors that influence the incidence of caries in children are the habit of giving sweet, sticky foods and drinking milk, the habit of brushing teeth and the incidence of dental caries so that there is a need for education about the prevention of dental caries. Interactive story telling helps children's development, to help them express and give meaning to the world, to develop communication, recognition and memory skills. Objective : to determine the incidence of dental caries in pre school-aged children and determine the effectiveness of Interactive Story Telling in preventing dental caries in pre school-aged children. Method : This research uses quasi experimental research with one group design. Where researchers use 1 group as the treatment group, which was given intervention in the form of interactive story telling to prevent dental caries, the intervention was given to mother and child pairs. Result : there was a significant difference in knowledge between before and after counseling. Conclusion : interactive story telling that has been carried out is effective in preventing dental caries in pre school-aged children.

Abstract

Children under five years old are the golden age for a child to acquire excellent skills such as perception, interaction, speaking, etc., and therefore, developmental screening at this age to identify developmental problems in children early and provide treatment. Families, especially caregivers, provide the care needed by children to develop in the early years, so they need support to provide stimulation. The problem of gross motor development at an early age is the greatest and the older the age, the more advanced developmental problems such as fine motor skills, walking. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of educational video stimulation of toddler development on increasing developmental milestones. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design, one group pre-test post-test. This research was conducted at the Posyandu Balita Sahabat Masyarakat, Kusumadilagan, RT 04 / RW 12, Joyosuran, Pasarkliwon, Surakarta. The sample in this study was 20 pairs of mothers and children with purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument was in the form of a pre-screening development questionnaire (KPSP). The results of the study obtained a significance value of 0.002 from the pre-test and post-test values, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of providing educational videos on toddler development stimulation on increasing development milestones.

Abstract

Kegiatan penyuluhan promosi kesehatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa/i SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta mengenai bahaya konsumsi junk food dan kaitannya dengan risiko penyakit diabetes tipe 2. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Desember 2024 dengan metode ceramah interaktif yang didukung oleh media PowerPoint dan poster. Sebanyak 236 siswa/i dari kelas X hingga XII menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan ini. Untuk mengetahui efektivitas penyuluhan, dilakukan pre-test dan post-test terhadap 222 peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai sebesar 9,84 poin atau 14,51% setelah penyuluhan, yang menandakan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga menunjukkan pengelolaan yang baik dan transparan dalam hal keuangan maupun pelaksanaan. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala teknis seperti keterbatasan waktu dan fasilitas, penyuluhan tetap memberikan dampak positif dan diharapkan dapat menjadi model untuk kegiatan serupa di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Remaja berada pada fase kritis yang ditandai dengan perubahan fisik, emosi, dan psikologis yang cepat, sehingga rentan terhadap isu-isu kesehatan jiwa seperti stres, kecemasan, dan depresi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, sebuah program pengabdian masyarakat yang berjudul "Program Pengabdian Masyarakat: Mewujudkan Remaja Tangguh melalui Pemahaman Kesehatan Mental" dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa akan kesehatan dan ketahanan mental melalui pendekatan pendidikan partisipatif. Kegiatan ini meliputi pre-test, presentasi interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat stres normal (52,5%), namun terdapat pula peserta dengan tingkat stres ringan adalah (31,7%), sedang (13,9%) hingga parah (2%). Sementara itu, hasil post-test menunjukkan adanya penurunan Tingkat stress peserta, di mana menjadi presentasi stress ringan adalah (37,6%), sedangkan untuk Tingkat stress normal adalah tetapyang mana artinya hal tersebut memperoleh skor kategori "baik".
