Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide education in providing knowledge to residents in Sungai Pitung Village Barito Kuala South Kalimantan Indonesia about proper and proper hand washing and the use of soap during Covid-19. The target of this service is residents in this Village. This service was attended by 18 children of various ages. This method of dedication uses direct methods such as lectures and questions and answers. The instruments of this service are tables, pictures, and questionnaire sheets of the pre-test and post-test as well as hand washing soap. The results of this service, on the pre test, show that the majority of residents of this Village already know the importance of washing their hands. However, they still do not understand the steps for washing hands and when to wash their hands. Then, based on the results of the post test given it proved that there was a significant increase. The public became more aware after listening to the education that was conveyed about washing hands as a prevention of disease and to break the chain of spreading Covid-19. In addition, people become more aware of when to wash their hands, the benefits of washing hands, the consequences of not washing their hands, and the characteristics of good hand washing soap, as well as how to wash their hands properly and correctly with soap during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Living Pharmacy is the use of land which is usually located in the yard of the house which is used to grow plants that have many benefits. Especially traditional medicine to cure the diseases suffered and can be treated by yourself without having to use drugs that contain chemicals that are sold in pharmacies. Empowerment of vacant land in the village environment aims to maintain the village environment so that it remains beautiful and can obtain useful results. This community service method is carried out face-to-face with PKK women in Tabing Rimbah Village with media in the form of booklets and also PPT. With the theme of Socializing How to Empower Life Pharmacies. use the pretest and posttest as a measure of participants' understanding of the information provided. And from the scores obtained, it can be seen that there is an increase in participants' understanding of the material that has been presented, in addition to the pretest and posttest, additional evaluations regarding TOGA are also given. Take advantage of TOGA for health. Apotek Hidup merupakan pemanfaatan tanah yang biasanya terletak di halaman atau di pekarangan rumah yang digunakan untuk ditanami berbagai tanaman yang mempunyai banyak khasiat. Khususnya obat tradisonal untuk menyembuhkan bermacam penyakit yang diderita dan bisa diobati sendiri tanpa harus menggunakan obat yang mengandung kimia yang dijual di apotek. Pemberdayaan lahan kosong dilingkungan desa bertujuan menjaga lingkungan agar senantiasa tetap asri dan bisa memperoleh hasil yang bermanfaat. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan secara face to face langsung bersama ibu-ibu PKK di Desa Tabing Rimbah dengan media berupa Booklet dan juga PPT. Digunakan pretest dan posttes sebagai tolak ukur pemahaman peserta terhadap informasi yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hasil nilai yang didapatkan dapat terlihat bahwa ada peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai materi yang telah disampaikan. Selain pretest dan posttest, diberikan juga evaluasi tambahan mengenai TOGA, berdasarkan evaluasi dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa ibu-ibu PKK di desa Tabing rimbah sudah mulai membiasakan dalam menanam serta memanfaatkan TOGA untuk kesehatan.

Abstract

Currently, stunting is a global problem and greatly affects the quality of human resources. Chronic malnutrition for a long time can also cause various health problems that affect quality of life. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge to 27 mothers at school of PAUD Kasih Bunda about the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene in an effort to prevent stunting in Lok Rawa Village, Mandastana District also to another targets 22 mothers at the East Delima Berangas Posyandu. In addition, an evaluation of the PERMATA BUNDA (Pemberian Makanan Tambahan Untuk Ibu Hamil dan Anak Balita) and SIBERKAT (Simpanan Ibu BERsalin yang bersinergi untuk masyaraKAT) program were carried out at posyandu delima III, Berangas Timur Village, Alalak District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The method used in this service is educational activities and hand washing practices as well as face to face interviews with the community. The results of this service show that there is an increase in knowledge regarding stunting and how to prevent or overcome it. They hope that the Permata Bunda program can continue to be implemented to support health status in the present and in the future.

Abstract

In addition to being a national health issue, stunting is a worldwide health concern because it lowers productivity, inhibits IQ, and causes disease in human resources. The purpose of this activity is to enhance cadres' proficiency in processing MP-ASI using the traditional knowledge of kelakai leaves in Samuda village, Belawang District, Barito Kuala Regency, as well as their knowledge base about stunting and MP-ASI. The KPM Cadres (Human Development Cadres), Posyandu Cadres, TPK (Family Assistance Team), and village food cadets are the targets of this community service project. The initial step in this activity's methodology is creating an MP-ASI Formula Book using Kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris (Burm.f.) Bedd. Second, the practice of directly preparing meals and educating people about health and nutrition The information is delivered through interactive lecture and discussion methods as well as simulations. This community service was carried out over two meetings. The location for this service activity is at the Samuda Village Hall. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in knowledge after the training activity was held, namely that the level of understanding increased significantly from 0% to 100% in two aspects of knowledge, namely MP-ASI criteria and family medicinal plants that stimulate appetite. The results of the analysis of different tests showed that there was a difference in the mean knowledge scores of participants before and after being given the training (p = 0.000). Conclusion: The application of nutritional literacy with the help of formula books and job sheets has been proven to be able to increase cadres' knowledge and skills and effectively foster innovation in making MP-ASI formulas as potential family-based family nutrition boosters

Abstract

Stunting is an urgent issue to be addressed seriously and collaboratively. The purpose of this activity is to understand to the community of Village Bi-ih about the importance of preventing stunting, improvement of the consumption of public food from various available, nutritious and affordable foods through training Healthy Food Menu as well as the development of Healthy Lifestyle. The method of implementation of community service is carried out with the method of participatory approach where the entire activity involves partners and society. The DASHAT (Healthy Kitchen on Stunting) accompanying activities were held in the Village Office Hall of Bi-ih and attended by a total of about 30 people consisting of 20 families at stunting risk and 10 village CTC cadres. While activities for the youth element can create an interactive and exciting learning experience with the media game snake ladder Ayu Ting Ting (Atasi Yuk stuntTING, it's pen) as a stunting literature on high school students Muhammadiyah Village Bi-ih. The activity was successful in training the skills of caders and families at stunting risk in the creation of healthy food menus, knowledge of how to process food hygienically and correctly for the age of the child, as well as training Clean and Healthy Lifestyle.

Abstract

South Kalimantan is classified as a red zone with a still high prevalence of stunting. This serious problem also occurs in the village of Bi'ih as it is the area with the highest stunting rate in Banjar district. This community service activity aims to promote literacy on stunting prevention through a campaign to enhance understanding of balanced nutritious food menus via the Student Service Program "Mahaga" Stunting at Muhammadiyah University of Banjarmasin. The method used is Door to Door to socialize and distribute posters to each family and teenagers at school. In addition, the campaign through cheerful exercise and storytelling at the integrated health posts features a clown to strengthen literacy on preventing stunting from an early age. A workshop and an interactive Q&A session involving productive mothers in educating about healthy food. The results of the activities show a significant increase in participants' knowledge and awareness regarding balanced nutritious food and efforts in preventing stunting. The conclusion of this activity is that the local approach with "DADDU" (Ada Badut Di Posyandu or There’s a Clown at the Posyandu) and campaigns using printed poster media can be effective and engaging in enhancing community knowledge.
