Abstract

In the digital era, integrating technology in education provides a great opportunity to improve the quality of learning. Using smart devices and educational applications creates an interactive learning experience, expands access to global resources, and facilitates collaboration-based learning. In this context, smartphone-based mobile learning (M-learning), especially Android, has become a popular learning medium among teenagers. This technology offers great potential in increasing the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, especially in materials that require complex visualization, such as thermodynamics in physics. The abstract concept of thermodynamics is often difficult for students to understand without adequate visualization, leading to misconceptions. To overcome this problem, Augmented Reality (AR) technology can be used as a learning medium to combine the real world with digital content in real time, allowing for clearer and more concrete visualizations. The development of AR-based learning media on thermodynamics materials, such as Thermodynamics-Augmented Reality, is expected to reduce misconceptions, increase creativity, and facilitate students' deeper understanding of complex concepts.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kompetensi esensial abad ke-21 yang harus dimiliki peserta didik, terutama dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan e-modul terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SMAN 2 Woha. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model PBL berbantuan e-modul dan kelas XI MIPA 1 kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai rata-rata posttest masing-masing 82 dan 74. Uji hipotesis menggunakan Mann-Whitney U menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001<0,05, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh positif dari penerapan model PBL berbantuan e-modul terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa inovasi dalam pembelajaran fisika melalui model PBL berbantuan e-modul dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik

Abstract

Urban flooding is a hydrometeorological threat that is influenced by the interaction between river systems, spatial planning, rainfall, and community social readiness. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the communication strategy of disaster information management and community preparedness in dealing with floods on the banks of the Ancar River, Mataram City. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional associative survey design on 43 respondents selected through multistage stratified random sampling; data were collected using Likert scale questionnaires, documentation, limited observations, and supporting interviews, then analyzed descriptively and correlated Spearman Rank. The results showed that communication strategies were in the low category (average 2.47), while community preparedness was in the medium category (average 2.65). There was a positive and significant relationship between communication strategies and community preparedness (rs = 0.509; p < 0.001). These findings conclude that the quality of messages, access to information, and community participation are more determinants of preparedness than one-way information dissemination. Implication, disaster information managers need to strengthen community-based risk communication, local early warning, and disaster education that is integrated with the management of urban socio-hydrological systems.
