Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the correlation between the intensity of using Pleco application and the Chinese vocabulary mastery among the third grades / 6 semestre students of the Asia International Friendship College. This research is a quantitative research with a non-experimental design, called the correlational quantitative method.  This research adopted the cluster random sampling method, and used the test paper to investigate the students’ frequency of usage of Pleco software and their Chinese vocabulary mastery. The population of this study amounted to 93 persons of students of STBA-PIA from  the sixth semestre and this research will take   30 students as a sample, the sample was taken  by using the Cluster Random Sampling technique.  The instrument of research was built in the form of a questionnaire with 12 items and 20 test questions. Due to the International standard of HSK questions, the test is declared valid. The reliability test of the questionnaire used the Alfa Cronbach formula which got the results of r was 0.7 so it was categorized as high. and the test also considered reliable. The statistic of paper test results showed that the mean score of third grades students of the Asia International Friendship College commonly used Pleco was 78.3 and the average score of students' vocabulary mastery was 81.3. According to the statistic result, it showed that the correlation test result is 0.62, and the t-test value appeared to be bigger than the t-distribution value (4.2 bigger 1.70), which indicated that there is a significant connection  between the common usage of Pleco software and Chinese vocabulary mastery by the sixth semester students of Asia International Friendship College. Keywords: Pleco, Chinese Vocabulary, Mastery, Intensity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin terhadap peningkatan karier mahasiswa Program Sarjana Terapan Bahasa Mandarin Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) dalam konteks era globalisasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 36 mahasiswa dari semester 2, 4, 6, dan 8. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh instrumen dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach's Alpha berkisar 0,761-0,802. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan skor rata-rata subvariabel berada pada kategori "netral-setuju" (2,94-3,09). Namun, hasil regresi menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin terhadap peningkatan karier mahasiswa (p-value = 0,420 > 0,05), dengan nilai koefisien determinasi R² sebesar 0,011. Meskipun demikian, mahasiswa tetap merasakan manfaat pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin terutama dalam hal relevansi dengan dunia kerja dan kesiapan karier. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi pentingnya penguatan kurikulum yang lebih kontekstual dan terintegrasi dengan dunia industri untuk meningkatkan keterkaitan langsung antara pembelajaran dan kesiapan karier mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aims to use contrastive analysis on the contradictory conjunctions found in Indonesian and Mandarin languages, by comparing the word “namun” with “ ?? bùguò” and the word “tetapi” with “ ? què”. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze and observe the similarities and differences of contradictory conjunctions in Indonesian and Mandarin languages based on the contrastive theory in the field of linguistics. The data collection technique used is documentation, both digital and non-digital, which includes three Indonesian books and three Mandarin books. The results of this research show that in the contradictory conjunctions “tetapi” and “què”, there are 11 similarities and 4 differences, while in the conjunctions “namun” and “bùguò”, there are 12 similarities and 8 differences.

Abstract

Kata penghubung “Yu”, “Haishi”, “And” dan “Or” merupakan kata penghubung koordinatif dalam Bahasa Mandarin dan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persamaan dan perbedaan kata penghubung ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, sumber data penelitian menggunakan sepuluh buku tata bahasa Mandarin dan sembilan buku tata bahasa Inggris. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa kata penghubung “Yu”, “Haishi”, “And” dan “Or” memiliki persamaan dan perbedaan. Persamaan kata penghubung “Yu”, “Haishi”, “And” dan “Or” berdasarkan fungsinya ada lima, sedangkan perbedaannya ada sembilan. The conjunctions "Yu," "Haishi," "And," and "Or" are coordinating conjunctions in Mandarin and English. This study aims to identify the similarities and differences of these conjunctions. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection technique used is documentation, with the research data sourced from ten Mandarin grammar books and nine English grammar books. The results of this study found that the conjunctions "Yu," "Haishi," "And," and "Or" have similarities and differences. The similarities of the conjunctions "Yu," "Haishi," "And," and "Or" based on their functions are five, while the differences are nine.
